In a time where there was simplicity, two beings were born. Neither of them know, but their destiny is something that is inevitable and would make them two of the most powerful beings on Earth. At this time "Owls" or super powered humans were not even heard of, and these two being the two of a few dozen OWLs in the world was miraculous.
Unfortunately the time that they are born into is a war torn time. Greed, lust for power, envy, hatred rules the land now as a leader who is supposed to be trusted has a ruthless lust for power and more of it...what is to become of these two...Noel and Will.

Bio: Noel was born to two human parents. At a young age she soon discovered that she had incredible strength. As she got older she developed a second ability and was soon recruited into an all girls malitia group, meeting a young man by the name of Will.

Personality: Rave is a pretty mellow kind of guy. He worries about his grades and performance but his attitude doesn't show it. Rave enjoys pranking people as well, and normally tries to make a situation lighter than what it is.

Bio: Rave was born to and elderly couple, and was the only child. Growing up they showered him with love and exposed him to the culture of their village the best way they could. Rave began to show an appreciation for art, drawing and painting and even dancing at times. He also began to have a knack for farming and caring for animals. When he was 19, he enlisted into the military and went to military school. There he met Aya, Noel, Tatsuya, Gale and Will. Since being here he has established a bond with a group of people he will never forget.

Personality: Gale is often soft-spoken and very reserved. Once she gets to know people, she opens up a little once she gets to know people but she's not one to voice her opinion as openly as others.

Bio: Gale was born to a young couple, and is the oldest of three, having two younger brothers. Gale grew up in a village where Ninjas were present, her parents being ninjas as well. When she was about 7, she was introduced to her first weapon and began to train with fighting. Even though she seemed to grasp the concept, she was still a little slow on things, and primarily her speed. When she was a little older she decided to enlist in the military. Feudal times were here and she wanted to be able to not only protect herself but her family. There she met Rave, Tatsuya, Will, Aya and Noel. Since then they had established a bond that will forever stay in Gale's heart.
Weakness: She doesn't speak up for herself that much, and she's also physically weak as far as strength.

Personality: Kikyo is a ruthless killer. Often driven by rage and hatred, she's a tactical thinker in the heat of battle. She's often tormented with the thoughts in her head, she feels as if she's not the only one in control.

Bio: Little is known about Kikyo except that she was taken at the age of 3 and raised by a group of warriors. As she got older she climbed the ranks and began to lead said army. Being seen as a gifted young woman, a mystic who worked for the emperor at the time tainted her soul, corrupting her into the path of darkness.

Origin: Technically, the Americas, but for the purposes of this roleplay, a village next to the Noel’s in Japan.
Abilities: Sound (This is kind of broad as it could include sound waves, frequency, projection, and also manipulating voices to sound differently. Yes, that means Will can make himself sound like a girl literally or imitate someone else’s voice.), Super Strength, and power negation
Fighting Style: Karate, Some ninjutsu
Weapons: Katana, shuriken. Will actually prefers hand to hand, and these weapons aren’t necessarily the ones he’s most skilled at. They’re just easier to carry around and hide.
Personality: Will is mischievous, and that in itself explains enough about his personality. He is outgoing and can be spontaneous at times. But behind that, he loves to prank others and cause strife. It’s all a game to him, and he’s quite an actor. He is slightly sadistic and masochist to the some extent if he feels the need to be. Although his orientation is straight, Will does not mind fooling others into believing otherwise, and he’s a “lady’s man.”
Will also suffers from being overly arrogant at times. Because of his mischief, he can sometimes find himself in awkward/troublesome situations not knowing how to act exactly. For example, he “hates” music, yet he likes to play music by himself. In other words, he can be easily criticized for some of his hypocrisy. While his demeanor varies depending on what guise he is pulling or the situation, he can and will use curse words, but not excessively unless he’s around someone who can’t stand curse words and he’s out to annoy him. …You’d think he’d be somewhat mature at 20 with a dead brother, but apparently, that’s not always the case.
Appearance: Clearly, the clothes are in the wrong period.
Bio: Will is the third child of Cameron and Keladri. His oldest brother Kent is dead as a casualty of war. His sister Selis is a musician. But all this stuff about his family isn’t important (besides the part where he found out about his sound ability when he almost brought down the house they were living in with his voice). Will isn’t with them right now because he was sent off for education (and they hope he’ll be more mature when he returns). He is boarding with the Thorinaganos, a family of scholars with two sons Genya and Brand, one of which has no aptitude for the academics but has the physique for brawling. Will is in governmental studies on politics and military tactics… basically, what could amount to becoming a military advisor or diplomat somewhere down the line. Anyway, while there, he happened to meet Noel while he was skipping out on class.
Weakness: He’s a bit of a hypocrite (see personality). While Will has very good hearing due to sensitive ears, sudden loud noises will throw him off because they’ll also affect his ears more than the typical person. Though he might not always express it openly, he does care for his family and the Thorinaganos. Lightning, but he’ll get over it at some point in the roleplay.
Other: Will is a music prodigy, and if you’re lucky, he’ll compose a song about you just to annoy you. This profile was tweaked to fit this roleplay, and some of the stuff probably doesn’t make sense or match with the original.

The sun peaked across the horizon of the mountains. A small village was half covered in shadows, but were backing away as the illuminating light pierced the darkness on the country side. A young woman sat on the floor looking into the horizon watching the sun come up.
Her name was Noel Anderson, a rambunctious girl with an inquisative nature. Noel was no ordinary young woman, she was gifted and seeing how she could do things no ordinary human was able to do, she was enlisted into the female malitia. She was leaving her family today for basic training. She yawned lightly as she stood up, taking in the sun's energy as she looked at her small bag packed with things she would need on her time away.

There was another village nearby. It was bigger than the one where Noel Anderson dwelt, but it was still quaint nevertheless. There were a few people up and about already for farming chores, shopping chores for breakfast, and the like. A young man was perched on the roof of one of the buildings, his blonde hair blowing loosely in the fresh morning mountain breeze. He surveyed the vast view in front of him and plucked a string of the sanshin (three string banjo like instrument) on his lap. Then, he began playing a slow song softly. The soft notes of the music fluttered out into the village, mostly unnoticed or treated as a mountain echo.
William DeScythe had arrived in the village a day ago to stay with the Thorinaganos, per his father's instructions. On this day, Will would be once again training in the program that specialized in political and military strategy. The twenty year old wasn't all that interested in the subject, but it did have its uses. That program was in the same place as usual. It was a government program, and it was in the next town over, which resembled more of a city than a quaint town.
Soon, Will heard his name being called for breakfast by the studious sixteen year old Genya, a rather smart child who apparently lacked any means to protect himself aside from his stronger and older brother, Brand. The blonde sighed and quickly made his way down. After some time, the three began to travel to the city. Will parted with Genya and Brand when they had to head in different directions, and he walked along slowly, not really caring if he was late to the first session.

Noel soon went to her bathroom as she turned on the shower, hot water shooting from the shower head. Stepping in she cleaned her body thoroughly as the water seemed to be a sort of therapy for her. Soon she was finished as she dried herself off. She soon found a garment that was cute enough to depart in. She would be shipped to the neighboring city where she would undergo basic training.
She soon went downstairs to say goodbye to her parents. They greeted her as she greated them. "Oh mom...dad...I'm going to miss you so" she told them. "I'm starting to reconsider..." she trailed off. "Noel you have been blessed with a great gift...it is only right for you to help the people of your country" her father said to her.
Noel thought about what her father had said. Honor was big in her family...and her parent's really wanted this for her. Her mother then brought in a box. "Here Noel...these are for you" she said. Noel soon unwrapped the box looking at two beautiful twin Katanas. "These are beautiful" she told her parents. Giving them a hug she looked at them. "Thank you" she said to the both of them. Soon a strange vehical had arrived for her outside.
"I guess this is for me" she told her parents" she said. "I'll keep in contact everyday" she promised her parents as she gathered her things and went outside loading her things in. The sky began to get partly cloudy as she pulled off. She wondered how life in the city would be. Little did she know that a new ruling over their quiant existence was about to approach.╚══════════════╝

Will was still walking along when the vehicle that Noel was riding on passed him. He looked up, curious to see who was riding on the vehicle. It was labeled with some military symbol, so Will could only assume it was related to the government. He grinned. He could see several heads inside. He wasn't sure, but for all he could see, it seemed they were all girls.
The Thorinagano siblings and he had decided to walk instead of using any type of transportation because it was more relaxing. However, this was too good of a chance to pass up, even if it was close to the city already.
"Hey!" Will started running after the vehicle. "Mind if I take a ride with you? I'm heading for the military too!" he yelled out after the vehicle, hoping the driver would hear. If the driver didn't, Will was still pretty sure he could catch up and just jump on the vehicle if he wanted to.

Noel continued to ride as she looked around at the country side. She soon noticed that a young blonde man was chasing after their vehicle. The driver didn't pay attention as he kept driving the young women. Noel looked as the young man chased them.
Holding out her hand she looked at him. "I don't think he will stop, but reach for my hand and I'll pull you in" she said with a smile. She had to admit he was a good looking young man. Hopefully he would make it unto the vehicle.

It seemed the driver hadn't heard Will. The vehicle showed no signs of stopping or even slowing down. Well, he was close enough to make a jump if he had to.
However, one of the ladies on the vehicle had noticed him and offered to help. She was a pretty one and looked awfully innocent. He grinned as he grabbed onto her hand and pulled himself up, hopping in and finding a conveniently open seat next to the girl. She had a strong grip for a girl. "Thank you, Miss..." He looked at her with a smile as he waited for a name. It wouldn't be too long until the vehicle reached the city now. It'd probably head straight to where the female military unit would be trained. Will wasn't supposed to be on the vehicle after all. To make matters more "convenient," the building he had to be at was not exactly by the female military training area. It was a walkable distance, but not a five minute walk.

As the young man climbed into the vehicle she smiled."No problem" she said. "My name is Noel, nice to meet you" she said with a warm smile. Looking around the other girls were looking strangely but she paid them no mind.
"What's your name? And where are you going exactly?" she asked him. She observed the country side enjoying it before they got to the city. She had never been but had heard many stories. "I'm actually excited to be heading here...I've never been outside of my village and going to the city will be an adventure within itself" she told him.

((No idea what the Japanese custom for greeting women here is, so I'll just assume Will did it. I don't think it's a kiss to the hand.))
"Noel? What a pretty name for a pretty lady!" The blonde man winked. "William, but most of my friends call me Will." he answered greeting her with whatever the standard approach to women was in the culture. "Nice to meet you too." He followed her eyes to countryside and a soft smile flickered across his features. "The city is a whole different world from the village. It'll be fun, and you'll enjoy it. There's a lot to see and do besides just training." He assumed Noel would be in the girls' division because the vehicle branding and the ladies on the vehicle. He gave a short wave to the other ladies and smiled warmly at them too before turning back to Noel. "I could show you around in your free time, if you'd like. If you have free time." Will grinned mischievously and chuckled. "Actually, I will be training a group of ladies for the military, and I've got to keep you all on your toes for the best team. I promise I'll leave some free time though."

Noel smiled, he was definitely a charmer. Looking at him she laughed a little. "Well that would be great" she said to his offer. "I was honestly very nervous about this transition, but now I know at least one person in the city" she said giggling.
"Oh well this should be interesting" she said with a wink. "I think you will find out that I don't fit the norm" she said with a giggle. She didn't know that Will had abilities and haven't met anyone who did. She guess being kind to strangers really was beneficial.

Just like Noel, Will had no idea that Noel had abilities. He had also never met anyone with abilities, and he had just told her a blatant line. How could he be training ladies in the military when he was supposed to be training somewhere else in the military studies with other young men. But she didn't know that, and she didn't show as much surprise as he thought she would when he hinted that he was an instructor for her group, the group currently on the vehicle. There was also the matter of age. She seemed about his age. If he had been in Noel's position, he definitely would have been suspicious. The blonde wondered if Noel was a little slow, due to being locked up in her village. This was almost too easy.
"Heh, well, you'll be knowing a lot more before the week's over, Noel," he chuckled. He gave Noel a curious look when she said that she didn't fit the norm. He grinned at her wink. "Well, well, maybe this will be interesting. We'll see."
The vehicle entered the city and would be shortly at the female military training grounds. Along the way, they would pass the building that Will was supposed to be at. The streets were busier than either one of the villages that Will and Noel lived in. It was a city after all, and there were children running around as well. The markets were full of bartering merchants and customers despite the cloudy weather. Everything seemed pretty peaceful.

Noel hadn't caught on to his lie, but then again where she was from people were normally trusting. When the vehicle came to a hault, she looked around to see large buildings. They had technology here that her home didn't. There were quite a few military buildings in the city as well as she was in shock at what she saw.
"Well I'm really anxious to start learning" she admitted. She grabbed her things and looked at him. "What's on the agenda then sensei?" she asked him. "Are we getting settled in or basic training of anykind?" she asked him.
