I am a sinner... "1 John 1:8"
**Let me start off by saying I know there are no "7 deadly sins" because all sin leads to death. I just figured this would be something to get people talking and see what others thought.**
The 7 heavenly virtues ...................to impose to 7 deadly sins
Chastity = Purity, knowledge, honesty, and wisdom ....................Lust
Temperance = Self-control, justice, honor, and abstention .........Gluttony
Charity = will, benevolence, generosity, and sacrifice ..................Greed
Diligence = Persistence, ethics, effort, and rectitude ...................Sloth
Patience = Peace, mercy, ahimsa, and sufferance .......................Wrath
Kindness = satisfaction, loyalty, compassion, and integrity ............Envy
Humility = bravery, modesty, reverence, and altruism ...................Pride
... Saved by God's grace "Acts 15:11"

Honestly, I think that is right, it makes alot of sense to me. Thanks! You even defined some words for me lol I wouldn't have got that from the dictionary.

Did you know it was orginally writen that tere were 8 deadly sins? Two of them were combined to make sloth. One of the orginal forms of sloth had all the symptoms of depression.

Just for fun. Seven new deadly sins! - Polluting -Genetic Engineering -Being obscenely rich (Which is hilarious, because I've read somewhere that the Vatican is the richest country per square foot) -Drug dealing -Abortion -***** (Not even gonna go there) -Causing social injustice ( =/ ) Reference ArticleThough I might have committed another by using Fox News as a source =P

So, I am just curious, are they specific scripture references that say that those are 7 Heavenly virtues and 7 Deadly sins... because I was under the impression that all sin leads to death, not just seven of them.

as the original posts states, ALL sin leads to death. This was just something I found and thought I would share.
... Saved by God's grace "Acts 15:11" I noticed that. I was just curious as to what makes these particular 7 "more deadly" than the rest. Also if there were scriptures to back up the title "7 deadly sins" that these have labled. When I was protestant, these were known as the worst of worst sins any one could commit. So I was just asking if any could reference to me to scripture to back it up.

Those scriptures don't exist, until you come to blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Anyway, if you're looking for more information on them, this seems to be a decent article.

There isn't any scripture to back it up because they were made up by a Catholic monk in the 700's.
