I don't see the issue in it. I listen to Metallica and I still worship God, I don't think that it matters what you listen to as long as you don't do anything crazy or stop believing.

There's a Time to Laugh "Ephesians 2: 8-9"
I listen to Christian metal/rock music all the time.
I also listen to secular metal music, but I do my best to steer clear of the bands who outright say God is a lie or anything like that.
And a Time to Cry "Romans 5: 3-5"

i'm more of a symphonic metal lover, but heavy metal still is kewl. And i'm still a Christian. Just as long as the content is appropriate, i see no problem with it. But, most metal bands (an awful stereotype, i know) actually are very vulgar. So, beware of some. But over all, it shouldn't matter what you listen to. There are even som really awesome screamo Christian bands (Flyleaf has the most talented female screamer. i reccomend "Cassie" tho they're not typically a 'metal band.')
