Okay okay, we all do it. We get something new and fancy, and our old thing sits around and collects dust. This is a list of ideas for what you can do with your old stuff, and somethings I will link to examples! smile Feel free to comment more tips or if something is actually worse for the planet.
Give it away if It still works
If it's "trash" such as packaging, you can upcycle it and even sell it!
You could re purpose it for a new purpose(like if you got a new ipod, because it was old and say, the headphone jack or screen broke, you can use it as an external memory drive!)
recycle it
as you can see the list is short! Add to it please! smile

There's a charity called Free Geek that takes donations such as old/broken computer parts, gadgets, etc and makes working computers, which are then donated to people who can't afford a computer.
That's all I can think of right now.

I never shopped at second hand stores because I think its cheap and because my mom does it, and I hate doing what my mom does, but now I have come to understanding the importance of reusing things.
