Hey, I'm sure we've all played the PS1, and probably still play some PS1 games.

Lets just talk about our favorites because this thread needs to pick up a little more.

In the beginning, I saved for months to get a Nintendo 64 (Mind you, I was young and foolish, and I'm leading up to something, so forgive) and enjoyed it for a bit. When we moved into the apartments and I made a friend down the road who owned a Playstation. I played it and enjoyed it. He seemed to enjoy the 64 as well. So, we agreed to trade. I got the PS1 and his games, and he got my 64 and my games. Though his were significantly less numerous, the one game that caught me was a Demo disc which contained a Demo for Metal Gear Solid, an odd looking game until I got to play it. I was instantly hooked. I played that demo God knows how many times, and saved until I could finally buy the actual game. And once I got it I played it numerous more times. From that point on, one could say, Sony stole my (gaming) heart. They now have (and did even then) have the most games that I enjoyed and the controller which I now know and enjoy. And today Playstation is still my console of choice.

I just bought Parasite Eve for the PS1 on monday.

Never played it. I'm eager to go out and hunt down old-school PS1 games I don't have.

I do like some of the games on the PS1, but not a lot XD If I could back in time and chose again I would have chosen a Sega Saturn instead of a N64... Sadly my dad didn't like VGs except for his genesis, so my brother and I's chances of getting one was slim. We played with the genesis till 1999 and then we got a N64. My older brother did get a PS, but we couldn't touch it XD

I sold my PS1 a few months ago for about 3 PS2 game. I do regret doing it and one day I'll by another one.

I spend most of my (meager) funds now on old PS1 games. I just bought Street Fighter Alpha 3 and am looking forwards to getting my hands on Resident Evil DX and Battle Arena Toshiden. Anybody remember that game?

Yeah, it was the first game I got for the Playstation back in 1995. I have the anime movie as well, though it isn't very good. ^_^

Sho was cool, as well as the crazy a** martial arts master guy with the claws who rode around on that giant energy ball (his name escapes me).

Sofia pissed me off, though. Damnable whip action=muy pissed off Kenji.

The Playstation houses my favorite collection of games EVER. Current and Next Gen stuff just doesn't seem to hold a candle to the PSX selection IMO (though I still love a decent amount of PS2 stuff).

Don't waste your money. It is regrettable that you sold it, but the PS2 IS backward compatable after all. Just buy a PSX memory card and the games you used to own.

I enjoyed my PSX to the fullest. Even after it was struck by lightening twice. It stopped for about a month after each strike, but it kicked back up again due to my faith and love(joke, but maybe true. hmm...). Alas, it sits in my closet because of it's child, the black box. Every-now-and-then I bust it out again to bask in the glory of the good ol' days.(this excludes the nintendo history up until then. those were the true good ol' days.)
