Basic Information

The weapon is essentially an SR-25 reconfigured to fire 6.5mm Grendel rounds; which is odd, given the weapon scaling down to a weaker round. The weapon however, is intended to deliver high powered precise fire at a range, and, the 6.5mm grendel has been proven to be extremely accurate (consistently getting less than 1 MOA at 300 yards with most production rifles, with mass produced standard ammunition, with a 16 inch barrel or more) and in some rare cases has shown to get .185 MOA at 600 meters (1.198 inch grouping at 660 yards). The weapon has consistently proven to put out extremely accurate groupings with factory ammunition at decent ranges, and follows roughly the same trajectory as the .308 and 7.62mm x 51mm NATO rounds. Not to mention that the rounds are roughly 15-16.2 grams per cartridge, compared to around 25 grams for 7.62mm x 51mm NATO rounds, and much smaller in comparison (2.75 to 2.26 inches long).

The weapon fires a 7.8 gram Norma FMJBT round from a 5R (5 grooves, rounded) rifling, with a 1:8.75 twist (1 turn in inches 8.75 inches/ 222.5 millimetres). The heavy 20 in (510 mm) barrel is free-floating, so handguards are attached to the front of the receiver and do not touch the barrel. This results in increased accuracy and a more directly lined barrel. Using a 7.8 gram bullet, it's capable of firing at velocities of roughly 820 m/s, and achieving .4 MOA at 600 meters. Conversely, different ammunition can be used, this usually being 7.0 Lapua Scenar ammunition, which gets 820 m/s, and being known as the "Competition winning" rounds.
