Was it just me, or did anyone else laugh when Obama said he was going to start a war against this oil leak? I mean, seriously, he waits about sixty days, and doesn't even treat it as a big deal, and then he says that he's starting a war against it now. Oh, and he even turned down help from 13 countries who offered to clean it up. What an idiot. Does he actually think that anyone takes him for anything other than an absolute moron? Does he really think that his arrogance is charming? Okay, I'm done.

He could have repealed the Jone's act - also known as the "Merchant Marine's Act" - which would have allowed foreign ships to come in and help. After all, when Katrina hit, President Bush repealed it after just a few days. There were plenty of offers from foreign countries to come help, all of which has been turned down. Neither will Obama close our southern border, and he's taking Arizona to court for enforcing their Immigration Law. So... the question is: Is Obama attempting to help America or harm it? In my mind it's not even a valid question anymore. The evidence points to the only answer possible. He's done only harm to us since he's been in office. I am so glad I wasn't even tempted to vote for him! Update: June 23 - Now he's forced McChrystal to retire. The man is so thin skinned he can't take any criticism whatsoever! He needs to read some books on how to govern instead of watching so much television news!

I actually heard what's supposed to be a very accurate statistic a few days ago. One of the countries offering help, though I don't remember which, actually offered a set of skimmers that could clean up twice what the leak is putting out every day.

I vote, I'm a county delegate and the Vice Chair for my precinct, I call my Senators and Representatives on a regular basis, and even call representatives of other states to try to change things.
