Oh god. XDD I cannot lie. That movie was perhaps one of the most beautiful, thoughtful, and original original Syfy movie I've seen. crying The acting of srs bsns. The randomly shoved in romance! The fact that I still can't quite understand how the creatures ended up killing each other! I will have sweet dreams of Mega Shark and Giant Octopus tonight.
Though, unfortunately, it fails to top the awesomeness of Mothman. Now that was entertainment. My other friends scoffed at my friend and I, but I feel deep in my heart that we made the right viewing choice at that time. And now I know a giant avenging Mothman can come out of any reflective surface if I harm someone severely and get away with it. Ohbby.
But seriously, I'm actually a little excited for Stonehenge Apocalypse to release on June 12th. It's going to be soooo bad and yet so good. XD It'll be 90 minutes filled with laughter and capslocking on LJ. XD I know I will crack up every time Misha Collins does a serious face.
I love you, Syfy. crying Make low-budget movie babies with me.

I watched enough of that movie when it first came out a little while ago to know I didn't want to liquefy my brain by continuing to watch it. xD SPOILERS aka when the shark ******** flew out of the water and OMNOMNOM'D that plane. xDDD
I never got to see the mongolian death worm movie they released after that one though. I'm kinda bummed. :[

Star Gate makes up for any number of Syfy's many faults. Including branding it self with an abbreviation for syphilis.

@Iceryu66 If it even uses as much money. XDD It looks like the actor in Stonehenge Apocalypse might actually wear his own clothes during the film. XD
@Mister I especially loved the final fighting scenes where it goes back and forth between the monsters and the reaction of the main woman character in the sub. XD
@Ky If nothing else, you can always watch some other original Syfy movies. I think this weekend was a marathon of them. Not sure if it is continuing on tomorrow or not.
@Bringer I think Mothman makes up for it. Mothman was brilliant and very amusing. But Stargate is pretty good though I only really like SG1. I could never get into Atlantis or the new one, Universe.

In truth, I've only ever seen something like 4 episodes of Star Gate - and that was just the other day. It was just so good though. Like Pirates of the Caribbean with Aliens.
What did you like about that first season, and what don't you like about this most recent one?

To really like a series, I have to like the characters. XD I just happen to like most of the characters in the SG1 series. Atlantis is a spin-off series that has different chracters (most new, a few that have been guest stars on SG1). While I somewhat like Rodney, I don't like him enough to watch Atlantis since I don't really love the rest. XD SGU is alright. It's not really typical SG though. It's more of a SG version of Battlestar Galactica without the awesomenes of BG. XD I guess I don't dislike it, but I really feel the desire to watch it either.

Bringer of Jollity Star Gate makes up for any number of Syfy's many faults. Including branding it self with an abbreviation for syphilis. when they changed the abbreviation, it took me forever to even look at the channel. cause i was like, omg it'll give me syphilis! " @pain: thanks. i think the last "horror" movie i watched on syfy was about giant ants.

But it's a special version of syphilis. It can only be given out with loooove!
I think if you can make it scary as a giant, they have made a movie about making it giant.
