There's a local paleteria just a block from my house, and I grabbed two yesterday - one in chocolate and the other in strawberry. They're both cream-base instead of water-base, but they have a distinct... water in them. I think the company is using less cream. crying
Favorite summer treat?

I think I'll stick with ice-cream, really in any form. Long as it's cold, I'm happy.

What the heck is a paleta?
Summer treat? Nowadays I'm more interested in chips and guacamole to refresh me. I love the creamy subtle flavor of avocado mixed with lime and garlic and cilantro. For some reason I just can't deal with sweet things like ice cream anymore.

Anything usually, though today I wanted to try some gelato from the store I work at. Talenti Carmel Cookie Crunch Gelato. I really want to try it!

Cream Paletas are a lot like an ice cream popsicle, but they taste a bit more natural, they're not as heavy, and they tend to have real ingredients mixed into them. For example, coffee ice cream just tasts like coffee, but a coffee paleta would have actual coffee powder in it to enhance the flavor. A strawberry ice cream might have some kind of red, sweet syrup swirled in, but a strawberry paleta has real strawberries blended in - seeds and all.
Water Paletas are like regular popsicles, but again, they've got real fruits mixed in. There's bites of cantaloupe in the cantaloupe-flavored one, there's tamarind in the tamarind-flavored one (who would want to put a tamarind into their mouth, even as a popsicle, I will never know), etc.

I know I've had a Lychee flavored one, I think. It was japanese though so I don't know if it was a paleta, but it had real fruit in it and was shaped like one.

I read the title as 'placenta' I don't know why but trust me, it makes a difference.
