I think it is an interesting idea but I can't wait until they have a wider selection.

To be honest, I'm rather bothered by it. For one thing, my computer will not take kindly to these items. For another thing, this is just one more thing to keep Gaia from working on really good events. I haven't heard a single thing about this year's prom yet. xp Also, I'm of the opinion that they need to make the EI's go ahead and evolve instead of making new junk.

I think it's a pretty good idea, but they're going about it at the wrong time.
Not to mention they're going to stop being animated?
Why even bother if it's only for a little bit? That's just wasted effort that, as chibi said, could be used on other things like events or items that already exist. It's like lagging our computers for no reason for one month, because I know I didn't pay thousands for my computer.

I too feel similarly to you all.
What's the point of animated items if they're only going to animated for a limited time? Also, as in the case with the halo, when you show it un-animated, it looks cheap and ugly. If I did invest in one, wanting to enjoy its sparkling for one month, then at the end of the month, it would be like a different item entirely!
I think we need more EI updates, but especially more plot updates. I'm quite vexed at how little of them we've had, except in the case where they refer to new items and RIGs. But maybe they're going to tie in the sparkles, animation, and new Star characters with the prom?
Here's hoping . . .

I didn't join in time to go to last year's! sad Of course, we could always have our own... wink Not really. sad I mean, we could role-play or something, but what I'm really missing about this who affair is the game they had last year. It was very similar to DDR, but you press the arrow keys on your computer when the arrows appear on the screen. When you press the arrow keys, your avi dances. However, if you pay attention to the dancing, you will mess up and lose. If you do well enough and get a certain percentage of correct dance moves, then you get a prize. They had 10 different songs that you could dance to last year. Here are videos of some of the levels from the prom last year. i know that the website TinierMe has a ton of animated items, i think gaia got the idea from them, but i am not totally sure.

I have an account on there but it doesn't appeal to me as much as Gaia; don't know why. But I think I've seen the animated items.
