I noticed some newbies here, so yeah. You guys may or may not know me. You might have only seen my name because of the PYP thread...
but other than that, I haven't posted much here in a LONG time.

Other than that I am busy with family and friends and stuff.

Life is good.

My parents were in a car accident on their anniversary last month. They were stopped in stop-n-go traffic on their way to dinner and a lady hit them claiming she was distracted eating a peanut butter cookie.......Mom KNOWS she saw her on the phone. My parents are alive, but they have to go through physical therapy because of the injuries. They are dealing with lawyer stuff (because it's all a bunch of bull.)
The insurance company took our car, even though there was VERY little damage. (Thank god for older cars being made of frickin' STEEL. <3333)

Other than that, all is well. <333

I've gone over it a million times and I cannot, for the life of me figure out how someone can be distracted from looking at the road because of a COOKIE.

I can't drive, but I still think I would be able to look in front of me while chewing....



I forgot to add in that my parents were stopped and she hit them going almost 40mph.

I'm glad your parents are okay Vi. Some people have no common sense at all, I see stupid drivers so often it makes me wonder how they got a license >_>

Well as much as I'd like to disagree with the cookie thing but there really are some pretty stupid people out there who seem like they can't even chew gum and walk. xd but yea I highly doubt a cookie distracted her from driving correctly and even so if that was the case the b***h should of known better and not been distracted and waited till a more appropriate time to stuff her face.

@honsu: I think she said she was eating a cookie to get out of the fine of using her cell while driving. Totally illegal in Cali. Not to mention she hit my parents in a construction zone. So she was already SPEEDING in a construction zone, which is a HUGE fine itself, her car was totaled, she also went to the ER by Ambulance....she did whatever it took to pay less. My parents are taking her to court because she is full of bullshit. Buhahahaha.

It sounds a little harsh but your parents would have been better off in a newer car. Newer cars are designed to absorb the damage of an accident so those within don't get as hurt as in an older car. And, while the car would probably been totaled, you're parents would have been better off. I hope they'll be ok though, that's an awful thing to have happen. :/
