As some of you guys already know, I'm going away for a month, or more. I'm going into an inpatient mental health treatment program. I've been on the waiting list for about a half a year, and they called today to let me know I have until the end of the week to decide if I'm going or not.
I've been struggling for a long time with various problems, and as scared as I am, I've decided I should take advantage of this opportunity to get help, since I may not have it again.
I won't have internet while I'm there, so no Gaia for me. razz
So uhm. Yeah. I just wanted to say a temporary goodbye. A lot of ATGers have helped me through some really difficult times, and you mean a lot to me. I hope you know who you are...
Er...feel free to discuss...uh...
-Goodbyes
-Time spent in the hospital
-Has anyone else spent any time in the ...er..psych ward?
-How much you heart your fellow ATGers
-If you have any questions about why I'm going, feel free to ask. I may not answer in the thread, though.
PS: If you absolutely need to get ahold of me, you can message Pixiecutt. She'll be dropping in to see me while I'm there.

I know we never really talked much, but it's still sad to see someone I'm used to seeing post up not post up anymore.
But I'm glad you decided to go and take care of business. You've got a lot more... Integrity than most people, since asking for help is one of the hardest things one can do.

:O I hope things work out for you! I pretty much only lurk, but like Arcanas said I'm just kind of used to seeing you post around.
My older sibling has spent time in the "psych ward" and it seemed alright... but you're not allowed to have a lot of things (for example, pencils) so she didn't get to do much except play scrabble and connect four. I don't know the differences between mental hospitals though. Mneh.

I fall under the "I will miss you and hope you get what you set out to do" bundle of people here too.
Just remember that things often get worse before they get better, stick it through and you'll be ok!
