We all end up thinking "oh yeah this person.." yada yada..
Ever end up actually liking the music of someone you wouldn't expect?
I just finally listened to Michael Buble. I officially LOVE his music. Beautiful sound.
Other artists/bands that surprised me include:
-Rihanna
-Mariana's Trench (To an extent.. They annoy me after a while)
.. Wow, none come to mind. But there's probably tons that surprised me.

Sigur Ros, and every single electronic artist I've ever liked. I hated Radiohead's Kid A/Amnesiac at first, but BOY did that grow on me.

Adam Lambert.
Not ashamed in the slightest.
His music is really catchy.
And one of his songs on his debut album was written by Lady GaGa.

Might be killed for some of these but:
Madonna - I just thought that she was a very overrated 80's entertainer, but after listening to some of her older stuff, I immediatly fell in love with her.
Dir en Grey - Not sure if much people know visual kei bands, but I'm very skeptical when it comes to Japanese music. I thought this was going to be a band like Marilyn Manson or something. After I watched the Obscure music video, I died and went to heaven.
Birthday Massacre - I haven't heard much of the band, and I didn't know what to think. But I'm quite fond of their songs!
