MAJOR TOPIC- Dieing In Roleplays. So let's say that you die in a roleplay right? What happens to you in the guild? Do you have to remake a whole new character- perhaps with the same rank and even with similar stuff. Do you have to start all over? Do you pretend like nothing happened? Or do you pretend like you got resuscitated and survive? Also, what happens when NPC's die. Obviously someone doesn't get banned when they die- but what about NPC's? Do we act like nothing happened or do we make the person make new ones; or not get new ones. The fairest idea is to make all battlegrounds separate- but in advancing guild plot, wouldn't we want to apply something like that to a character? Or not? I'm not sure- let the discussion begin, woot! blaugh

In mine humble opinion, if the wound was /barely/ fatal, allow the character to survive, but have to spend a ******** of time in recovery.
If there is no way of coming back from it, sorry mate, new character.

Right. Well it sounds like a neat idea! blaugh
To what extent should making a new character go though?

Similar, but down-sized. I would say one to two ranks lower, but you can keep the same names and such. You basically get weakened, unless you want to make a completely new character.

I don't want to have to updating the ranks all the time anyways. xp Promotions should be hard to get and any to lose as well; they are earned.

But then, there's basically no penalty for dying... It's just like a respawn...

Well, the penalty in death might be making a whole new character who has to be completely different from your last character. Or who has to have a different job or whatever.

Yep yep. Also, getting to a high rank is something that I want to be important, and not just 'a thing'. So reducing it and increasing it for each death as a penalty is a little... mah.
Also, I'm only thinking of applying this to major guild battles, and not just every little battleground battle. xd

Seeing rank reduction is definitely something that's even more harsh. xd
