Before I start out, I looked around the forum and could not find any topics like this, accept for one about peircings, so if there is a topic like this feel free to delete X)

Okey dokey, so I just wanted some oppinions on lolitas having tattoos. I know a few lolitas with tattoos that are hidden and other girls have some that are visable. The girls say they love their tattoos and that they love showing them off with their frills and lace. One of my other friends believes that lolitas should be pure and innocent and not have tattoos. I was curious about what you think smile

In my opinion, I think tattoos and lolita are wonderous. Unless you have a visible tattoo that is completely horrendous (in terms of quality and skill put into it). So I think tattoos are cute biggrin Especially if you have like cupcakes and bows on your forearm lol or something like that. n_n 4laugh

Love them.
I personally always ponder about which lolitas probably have their nips or...*ahem* other places pierced.

But tattoos are amazing - lolita or not. And lolitas don't have to be sweet or pure or anything...I suppose that could be a sterotype

I think that as long as your not wearing like... some monster demon sleeve tattoo when you dress in ooey-gooey sweet loolita then your alright. Haha.

I'm a photographer and I have a camera tattooed to my forarm. I REALLY want a lolita tattoo, something with ribbons and pretty cupcakes and stuff.

BUT I also want a MMM iron gate tattoo. My ideal place would be around my wrist like a bracelet, but I might just end up getting it around my ankle, or just above my elbow... hmm.

I think the most famous example of a lolita with tattoos is Yui Itsuki, she got a fake one for her performances in Yousei Teikoku.

Just like it was most likely mentioned in the piercing thread, the life choices you make should not be influenced by what you wear. If you love tattoos and wish to get one do no let something like Lolita impede that. I personally have several tattoos and am working on my upper left arms half sleeve which I love displaying with Lolita. My favorite lolita of all time is Octavekitten who makes tattoos look so amazing with Lolita. Here is the Daily Lolita archive of her great photos http://community.livejournal.com/daily_lolita/tag/octavekitten

I'm kind of curious as to who this is since I have never heard of her, her photos (those I have seen at least) always make her look like a bad Misa Misa cosplayer none in Lolita I have seen , and if the tattoo is fake then that's not really relevant since we are talking about real ones on our skin forever and not for a show.

I've been thinking about getting a tattoo a lot lately.
A small one, of course, but they've always interested me.
And I really like the tattoo from Fatal Frame III. If anyone knows what I mean. . . I think it's pretty.

But tattoos with lolita, in my opinion can be pretty cute.
Same thing with piercings. I've seen some adorable sweet lolitas with lip rings and it makes me smile. :3

you mean the snake tattoo the the main character has on her arm/neck?Im not sure if thats the one your talking about since I just have a picture in a magazine from FatalFrameIII and I've only played Fatal FrameII.

Yes, exactly! It's the snake and holly.
It spreads all over her and eventually covers most of her.
They give the meaning in the game and I like it for that and aesthetic reasons. I'm attracted to the colour blue. xD

I wonder how you didn't hear about here since Yousei Teikoku is the most famous gothic lolita band that already exists since ages and was already main topic in some threads here. Also tattoo is tattoo, if it is real or not doesn't count since this topic is about the combination of the lolita clothing with tattoos

Actually whether it's real or not is relevant. She's talking about the same tattoo for the rest of her life with her clothes not something that can be wiped off merely after a show. You can always change the tattoo you have for a show to meet you needs for an outfit but you really can't do that in real life.

Also it's very easy to not know a band depending on your taste. Just because I like lolita doesn't mean I search for bands that showcase the style, I am more of Dir en Grey or Lynch type of person.

Well, under lolita clothes you don't see tattoos anyways as long as you wear long sleeved ones.

Eh, I'm not a real fan of tatoos, but, mind you, I suppose it's okay if you're lolita, though I still think that it should be a tattoo that is hidden by a peice of cloth.
