...really, really, badly.
Sylar is constantly meowing at the door, clawing the blinds at the doors and windows, etc. Any time we will walk near a door he breaks out into a sprint from whereever he is in the house to beat us to the door. We try to sneak out of the door but he's always faster, racing outside just to flop around on the grass or cement or something.
Sylar is an indoor cat and needs to stay that way. With his fiesty personality I have no doubt he'd love to be outdoors catching mice and chasing squirels, but we live by a very busy road and have alreadt lost 2 cats from cars running them over sad Because I love my cats so much I can't let that happen to them again. So inside they must stay.
He's got fresh bubbling water, food, clean litter, plenty of toys, a kitty brother to play with and gets lots of hugs and attention from me. What else can I do to make him not want to go outside so bad?

the only thing i can think of is maybe getting an indoor cat fence. and setting it up in front of the doors. its a little mean but its better than having your cat get hit be a car and killed. and who knows maybe after a time with the cat fence he'll stop wanting to go out. and you can stop using it.
