hey, I've been wanting to be an author for a while, so here's an excerpt from a book that I've started, When the Sun Sets .
We were surrounded. There were black creatures all around us, watching us, waiting for us to move. They were covered in blue electricity, and moved jauntily, as though they were puppets, their yellow eyes gleaming menacingly. “Any ideas?” Asked a boy who was standing back to back with me. “I’m thinking!” I snapped back at him. “Well think faster, or else we’re all dead!” The boy snapped back. Suddenly, one of the creatures sprang forward and attached itself to my leg. A bolt of blue lightning went up my leg as I screamed in searing pain. Another one followed, grabbing my arm. More blue. More lightning. More pain. All at once, the rest of the creatures linked onto me in different places. Finally, one grabbed onto my face, and I blacked out. Before I hit the ground, I heard a scared voice yelling my name, "Jasper!"
Well? would you buy this book?

uh no, but the main character is a sonic fan, and I've wanted to show this idea to somebody for a while.

I like it so far...ok this is going to sound really stupid but for a brief second when I read puppet and yellow eyes I thought about the heartless from Kingdom Hearts. Which was weird because the creatures I imagined looked nothing like them.
