I'm pretty excited for this movie, but I'm also going to be a bit dismayed, after having been in the play "Alice Through the Looking Glass", at any inconsistencies. Just from that description I see some that already getting at me.

The "Queen of Hearts" is the one who shouts "Off with their heads!" and she was a card. The "Red Queen" is a chess piece. Dx *angst over nothing*

Just my OCD talking there. biggrin I'll be able to put it aside for the actual movie though. :3

I love the cast! I'm hoping that nothing will get to me about this. I think of it as a different take on the story.

I'm not a Burton fan. I imagine this movie will be visually very pleasing, but won't be that great otherwise. Just like his other movies.

And I dislike when the Queen of Hearts is combined with the Red Queen. They're not the same person! Why do people want them to be...?

This is more Looking Glass than Wonderland, but I guess it's really just his own version of them both anyway. Boo.

xd I think it's going to be good considering. Most films edit bits out from the books they're based on, or even make up something new altogether...except for LotR. LotR didn't deviate at all 3nodding

Anyways. waku: Yeah, it always annoys me when people think/want the Queen of Hearts and the Red Queen to be the same person. They are similar in some respects, yes, but also very different. xP

The queens play similar roles, but their personalities are considerably different to me. It's just strange to combine them. It's like they think "well they both like red...and are queens...so clearly they should be the same person." Silly silly.

Is it sad that the only thing that truly excites me about this movie is the prospect of Alan Rickman's voice? 'Cause it is. I wish I had a voice like Rickman.
