so the Publisher of DC Paul Levitz stepped down with plans of becoming a writer again. Warner Bros has a new dept DC Entertainments which is hoping to bring more DC stuff to movies and television.
Yes DC's way behind Marvel in pushing movies into the big screen. Marvel's been putting out several movies each year steadily since 2000 with the first X-Men movie. Up next is the Avengers, Iron Man 2 and Thor movies. Meanwhile DC's in limbo with nearly all of their movies except Jonah Hex and a potential Batman 3.
Television wise, Smallville's going into it's 9th season. Birds of Prey, the Flash only lasted 1 season each. Plans to put Aquaman, the Graysons and Green Arrow series out also crashed and burned.
I think the announcement was put out this week to try to cancel out the Disney/Marvel potential buyout.
Either way I'm still a DC fan.
