i thoght of this a while back if rem killed watari first then how did she write l's name if she was dead ?she dsintagrated before he dies so my theory is that when watari died l played along faking his death and making near and mello his underlings while he hides and gives tem instrctions. do u believe me ?please say u do

That would be so awesome!!! I don't think that is actually how it happened though. Although...... Light saw L right before he died.... maybe he thought it was a hallucination or ghost but it was actually L alive and well. This can be left up to interpretation but I like your idea better than what i thought before so thank you 3nodding

Well, I don't know about your theories, but I think that the scene were Light saw L alive and well in the end, he was welcoming him to the other world. I wish L never died, I just loved him much, I just wish your theory was true.

If this theory was true I'd be really happy smile I don't remember exactly what happens around that time in the story though... I'd have to watch/read it again to be sure.

There is a flaw to that theory. Just because someone is dieing doesn't mean that the death note won't work. If a name is written in the death note then they will die regardless if the writer dies right after. Light even saw L's name in the death note.

If your theory was true oh how death note be better! But unfortunately it isnt. What I do is lie to myself and say he is on vacation awaiting to act on death note 2

I know, I know! In the book (vol. 7) Rem says that if she writes down the names of people whose deaths would extend Misa's life, that she had 40 seconds to write down as many names as she could. So first she wrote Watari's name, and then L's, in the 40 seconds. So that's why L died after her. She died 40 seconds after she wrote Watari's name, but she wrote L's name in those 40 seconds. Plus, they said they buried L, and the hospital is also pretty good at telling when people are dead. Light saw L at the end of the series because he knew that L won, even though he died. I wish he was alive, though. confused
