The Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson comprising of Mistborn, Well of Ascension, and Hero of the Ages: Has anyone else read it?
I fully recommend it for anyone desiring a good read. It's classified as Science fiction, but I'm not sure if it actually fits there or not. His "magic" system is very well thought out, and his world has good plausibility. His character development is wonderful, as is his ability to twist the endings into something unexpected, while fully foreshadowing it the whole time.
I admit I got hooked on it so much so that I went and bought the whole trilogy at two separate bookstores. And I even got my dad sucked into it too. I just finished the third book, and thoroughly enjoyed the series.
A fun fact: the author is the same one that was chosen to finish Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. And even though this trilogy has nothing to do with that series, I still like that he was good enough to get noticed for something that huge. ^_^

The whole foreshadowing unexpected things sounds exciting. I'll have to look into it...Once I finish all of the books on my shelves that I haven't read yet, that it. sweatdrop

Yes, please do put it down on your list to read. It's a really well-written series and deserves more attention than it's getting currently.
