Which books made you laugh out loud more than once as you read? We all like laughing, so sharing would be appreciated! biggrin

During some Harry Potter, (such as Cinderella and Ronald xp )

And The Sword Of Truth books. You know they are good books when then can make a person laugh and cry. Goes for basically anything by Terry Goodkind, Juliet Marillier, and some by Tammy P.
The books by Juliet, the Sevenwaters Trilogy and Heir to Sevenwaters, are unbelievably well written. In each of the four books you can feel the MC's pain and joy.

I wouldn't describe Juliet Marillier or Tamora Pierce as "funny" at all. Maybe that's just me, though. *shrug* They had moments of happiness in their books, but they didn't make me laugh out loud...Well, I suppose Nawat in Pierce's Trickster couplet did, but that's it.

Lemony Snicket's Unauthorized Autobiography made me laugh hysterically! lol lol Some of the jokes make more sense if you've read A Series of Unfortunate Events, but I thoroughly enjoyed the autobiography and I only read the first of that series. 3nodding

The three Wayside School books by Louis Sachar (the man that wrote Holes) had me rolling around cracking up when I was younger. I haven't read them in years, but I imagine that I'd still find them funny. "There were dead rats living in the basement." It's the best oxy-moron ever! biggrin

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer has loads of sarcastic and witty characters that're sure to entertain almost anyone. rofl

One book that made me laugh sometimes would be the book, Eragon. I know its not really a funny book but some of the things that Saphira says to Eragon just make me giggle.

Also there are instances in Harry Potter books that make me laugh out loud!

Inheritance (the Eragon serires) made me giggle a few times too. whee

The Harry Potter books are very amusing. Deathly Hallows (the final book) surprised me because it only caused me to laugh aloud 3 times; the others were much funnier. Fred and George made me laugh the most!

I find books that make me laugh out loud are some of my favorites. The Harry Potters definetly. And my most favorite laugh out loud books are the Vampire Academy series. Jokes and witty annoying comments are thrown around everywhere. Mason, Christian, and (my favorite) Adrian, had me in stitches a lot. i even put post-it notes in them at true rolling on the floor laughing moments (for me at least). So every time i need a good laugh i open those books up biggrin

If you seriously want to laugh out loud, pick *any* of the Terry Pratchett books. Death makes at least a wee appearance in any of them, and he's dependably hilarious. No, really: picture an anthropic principle trying to understand real people. He's hard to miss, as he speaks in ALL CAPS. Also, the Death of Rats is silly. "SQUEAK." My personal favorite for laughing out loud is the series of stories starring Rincewind, the wizard who's so bad at being a wizard that he has "Wizzard" written on his hat so no one has to guess. Also, he's a complete coward, and absurdly prone to landing in life-threatening circumstances. So you don't have to wonder, in order the Rincewind books are: The Color of Magic, The Light Fantastic, Sourcery, Eric, Interesting Times, and The Last Continent. It helps coherence to read them in order, but they stay funny if you read them any old how. My personal favorite is The Last Continent, featuring Rincewind vs. Fantasy Australia. Anyone who reads it will understand what I mean when I say: DROP-BEARS ZOMGROFLMAO.

...People thought there was something really wrong with me, and it took me a few minutes to be able to answer.

If you're looking for non-fiction, 'Stiff', "Spook' and 'Bonk' by Mary Roach are fascinating and hilarious. They are about death and the human body, spirits and the afterlife, and human reproduction, respectively. rofl
