Eh... Well, having boyfriends/girlfriends is haram, as well as dating, as it loses self-respect. But I am not sure about online dating sites.
Cousin marriages occur, and marriages are ARRANGED by the parents as well as the woman/man who's getting married if they agree if the spouse would be a good husband/wife.

Funny Yummy Cupcake Eh... Well, having boyfriends/girlfriends is haram, as well as dating, as it loses self-respect. But I am not sure about online dating sites. Well I know someone who used the online Muslim dating thing, but her intention was purely to get married because she was a revert and her parents didn't know how to get her married... i think. But using the online dating thing, i think that you have to have an intention of getting married or else it would be the same as dating. Also, I don't think that arranged is a good way to describe the marriages because saying arranged makes it sound forced upon.

Agreed. I do not like arranged marriages, nor will I ever agree to one. Unless...I am okay with the guy

Well, women place their names in Islamic magazines for marriage often, as I've seen.
There are also Islamic marriage websites as well. :p

Relationships outside marriage with the opposite sex has a tendency to lead to Zinah, so it's better to keep away from them. As far as the dating sites are concerned, if the intention is solely for marriage, then I believe it's fine. However, I'm not really in favour of any of these matchmaking/dating sites even if they want to help people find good marriage proposals since the members might not be completely honest with the information they provide about themselves. Such a thing happened with an aunt of mine and now she is divorced.
