A guild mule. Putting money into the guild bank makes it virtually unusable. Having a guild mule allows for people to donate their gold and have it go towards contest prizes and buying banners and other such things. If subforums are needed then the mule can donate to the guild bank. It's just a more efficient way to use your gold.
