This is a SERIOUS problem, you guys! wahmbulance The whales are part of an ecosystem that could collapse because of all the whales that are being killed burning_eyes . I think that this murdering of these graceful creatures is absolutely horrid and should be prevented at all costs. Please share your opinion on this serious subject exclaim
AND HELP SAVE THE WHALES!!!

if its the only way for a group of peopel to survive then fine, im ok with it. but if you dont need to kill whales then dont, they are rare enough as it is

Have you ever heard of the show called "Whale Hunters?" They are helping the whales by stop the people that kill them

I'm not apart of this guild, But I do love whales. Especially the baby ones. It's sad that they are being killed. I support this thread.

Save the whales! I can't possibly understand why anyone would just slaughter them! Other than the natives that depend on the whales, no one should touch them!
You guys ever heard of the Tokyo Two? They're two Japanese Greepeace activists that got jailed when they revealed a coporation's massive slaughter of whales for unnecessary reasons.

Have the idiots down there ever thought of just selling some of their resources to get money to try and make a farm system? I bet they dont think twice before they kill. Whales aren't on trees, and if they were, they'd crush the Tree *Oh Noez! Mom!* Hehe. Personal Joke. But anyways, I agree! DIE, HUNTERS, DIE!!!! ... burning_eyes eek Ok, I think I'll stop doing Starbucks for a while... But atleast THEY recycle some stuff... MR. GREEEEN!! mrgreen

I totally agree! They say that they are killing them for research (which may or may not be true), but when the 'scientists' are done 'researching' the dead whales, they just sell them at the local market! Does that seem right? No. Its like the japanese(im not against all japanese, just the ones who kill whales) are just trying to make their 'whale slaughter' more friendly-looking with science! Well im not buying it (and neither is anybody in their right mind!).

I totally agree with everyone, and I think that one of the biggest issues with the ecosystem collapse that the whales are part of it the United States Navy.
Did you know that the US Navy uses Dolphins, killer whales, and other marine animals to test their sonar devices, and uses these animals to find underwater mines and missiles, etc!?
I learned this while in high school debate and spent that entire year debating and campaigning against the use of marine mammals as sonar tools!

First of all, the dolphins arent mistreated in any ways(though I do agree that they shouldnt be used in that manner). But the main problem is the ecosystem(ur rite on that 1). Every year, the whale population goes down, and cant rise up to its original numbers. The whole antartic ocean will suffer greatly if this issue is not fixed! You wont only be helpin the whales, you will be helping thousands of species of sea creatures!
