Here is an Alphabetical list of some popular Japanese names, with their meaning. With Japanese names, the most common is something nature oriented for the last name, and a characteristic of the child for the given name.

Adding "ko" on the end of a name means "child of" Such as Aiko, Ai means love so Aiko means Child of Love. Adding Ko on a name makes it seem feminine, and is not used for male names.

Japanese surnames often have "no" on the end, which means "of"
A good example are in the inner senshi's names. Ami Mizuno means "beauty water-of" but with the japanese sentence order, it literally means "Beauty of Water". Same for Minako Aino, which is "Everything Love-of" but means "Love of Beauty"
