a whole bunch of people in the art shops/auctions forums put "HIGH QUALITY" or "QUALITY" or something along those lines in their thread titles. does this actually help?
for me, i'm not too impressed when i see "quality" in the title; usually it's not that great LOL
but imo there's a certain way that an artist formats a title that makes me think their artwork is actually higher quality o: searching for shops with this "kind" of title for quality art is much more effective than looking for "quality" in the title.
no spoons.

I haven't checked shops in a while so I haven't seen the word quality in them

I think it looks snobby/snooty when people put stuff like that in there shop titles... Some of the ones I looked at weren't even very high quality at all. I have seen some with some really nice art in them before, just because I still will look anyway (I was looking hard for good art recently), but generally, seeing that in the shop title is a major turn-off for me. Interesting and creative titles get my attention fast though.

When I was looking for a place to know my prices, I looked for the high bid in the title, or the amount of posts in the thread, or the amount of pages.
I don't necessarily care about anything else. Not even the layout. Just the samples. razz

so what would you guys check first then, title then try to see the samples, if the samples are worth it then check the price? or how do you go about searching for good art?

There's a thread somewhere that says what people like. lemme find it.

I kinda like to click on fancy shop titles or something * ___*;;;; I'm not really sure, anything that's attention grabbing. I hate it when people put "quality". I usually click on the thread to see what they think "quality" is, and find myself disappointed :L
I usually look at the samples first, then proceed to prices.. I hate it when people have them the other way around in shops.. Or when they have the last post for samples >__>
And that's pretty much it :S

I don't often venture into the shops, but I'm usually grabbed by thread titles that have funky symbols in them.
I dunno, it makes them stand out. Of course, this is no way to judge art on first glace (like, I'm looking at a thread right now that had an attention grabbing title, but the art isn't that great), but it sets them apart from the rest. 3nodding

Honestly i couldn't care about titles of shops, but i agree intresting eye catching titles will atrract my attention. I look for Samples first, then prices xD
@Alexander Linden i agree with you when people say their art is High Quality and most of the time it isnt. D:
@xobooka I also hate it when samples are at the very bottom D:

Yeah.. That's false advertising, yo! haha I know a few artists that have put it in their titles and are actually good. I remember Kyandara always had a slogan on her title "Quality over Quantity", and she's ridiculously talented.

Most shops with quality in their name aren't quality at all rofl I find a lot of the better artists are pretty modest about their skill, also. 3nodding
I always look at samples first. When I'm actually ordering art, I can be pretty picky.
