basically stuff you wouldn't draw... or was forced to draw....

whenever i go to an art shop or an auction, i always see these on their "DON'T lists"

*Mecha
*Anthro/furries
*Complex weapons/ Armors
*Old farts

i don't draw some of them too since its really difficult for me...
do you have any problems drawing them?
do you happen to draw them? or any requests that you had to do against your will... lol!
hope you can post them here ^^

i remember that there was this joint auction where i got a character in armor... i wasn't used to it and couldn't figure out perspective,movement, texture and stufff TT 3 TT ever since then no more drawing armors for me... aaah... doesn't even look like armor... and arm perspective~ eeek

I hate armors too, the one I'm doing at the moment is partial armor and partial fabric. He asked to make the armor shiney.. but the armor is actually black so it's really difficult to make it shiney without it looking somewhat opaque in areas.

-sigh- Armor is lame.

I rather just draw half naked women. neutral

I also thought i hated drawing armour, but i managed to draw it even though it was cged badly lol

Yeah, linear things are just bad, when you grow up drawing organic lines, and human figures, scenery is just the death of you.

I suck at drawing boxes, and I am NOT joking.

so by not wanting to draw something you're only limiting your progression.... because theres only so much you can do till you hit a dead end.

Yeah I used to never ever draw males, that's why I took this commission for 700k though at the moment it looks like that number is lacking a 0 at the end, I didn't think I could pull off an even remotely masculine drawing, but it's working.

Practice makes perfect.

for commissions i would never draw cities gonk they take forever
im good at drawing both boys and girls probably because when i just started drawing i was into sailor moon and dbz

so during the same day i would draw muscle man and skinny girls xd

im good with mecha and armor if its not highly detailed

i used to avoid furry/anthro orders till i've tried it and it came out pretty interesting in the end ^^
aaah~ but armors still makes me cry... ; x ;

@kaleta
couldn't make backgrounds for cities or skylights... i usually just put sky or foliage for backgrounds... or something stylized... or just let watercolors flow through it ^^;;;

@purdoy
i really wish i could find a tutorial that shows how to draw facial hair. i have difficulty with that too! and bald men... since bald men doesn'tlook good in moe-sh anime style... hahaha~!
