Yes, friends, you heard right. After much ado and stress, the amazing staff at Gaia recovered my account from the clutches of a filthy hacker fiend demon b***h man thing. 3nodding
I's BACK!!
Feel free to lock this, as it has no discussion... I just wanted to make a big deal about it. 8D!!!
Though, I suppose any of you who have dealt with hackers/gotten accounts recovered can post your stories here.

Man, after hearing some horror stories in Site Feedback, I'm relieved you got your account back in such a timely manner!! I've heard of people waiting...well, close to a year, assuming they ever heard anything about their account ever again.

Uh, yeah. I would be one of those people who has never heard back from the admins. All I have is an email saying my hacking submission was in the queue and that they would get back to me as soon as possible.
The thing is, I don't have my password for that account anymore. I have no idea what the email address is, either, so, there's really no hope of getting it back. Why would it matter anyway? All my items were stolen and sold, so, I wouldn't get them back.

Chex, the way they did mine, they booted the other guy out and changed the password. Then they PMed me and had me set up a brand new email. Then they tagged my hacked account with the email so I could request my password to be changed and whatnot.
I'm so glad I got lucky enough to be dealt with in such a timely fashion.
