“Daceria there’s something I desperately need to tell you about our family.” spoke Darkstorm. He was half dressed his chest covered in blood from the last hunter attack. Darkstorm was weak, but mostly in his heart. He quickly glanced up and down at Daceria his one and only sibling. If only he could change the past and now it was time, Daceria had turned twenty and she wanted to know more about the family she never had. Darkstorm sat down beside her after being bandaged and took her hand into his.

“Sister... I don’t know if you’ll even want to call me brother after I tell you about our family. I’m the reason for the demon hunters killing our father and mother.” spoke Darkstorm trying to explain further to her.

“I was evil at one point Daceria. I had no intentions that someday someone I held dear would suffer because of me. I used to always be in my silver wolf form and cause mayday to all who had upset me. I was set off easily the littlest joke about my fur being gray would steer me to kill local villagers, even demons and I will understand if you hate me for all of this and I’ll be fine with that. I love you Daceria, and if your mother had told me she was pregnant maybe I would have had second thought and you wouldn’t be living this nightmare.” explained Darkstorm.

“Darkstorm I could never hate you. We’re family and no matter what the circumstances family sticks together till death.” smiled Daceria. She let go and looked at her half naked half demon brother and smirked.

“Go put a shirt on, if I have to so do you.” she said grinning. He struggled getting up and disappeared into Daceria’s room. Certainly there had to be a shirt somewhere around he could wear. Finally he went into the spare room where Adam’s bag of clothes were. He tossed a black tank top shirt over his head and returned to the company of his sister Daceria.

“Daceria, I know how you feel about not having a family. There’s still much I have to tell you and it’s best if I tell you now while the hunters are in hiding.” spoke Darkstorm.

“Our father the great Ace had kicked me out of our clan. Like I said I was evil and had refused to stay in a human like form. I had a strong hatred and I let it loose when I killed. I became known to the world as the Dark silver wolf. Darkstorm was not my original name. The name my mother gave me was a human name she had named me Brett. Once I was found evil the papers were signed that my name be turned to Darkstorm. I wish I could do something and the only thing I can do right now is protect you.” explained Darkstorm. sighing. He had finally told his sister the truth and for once he felt good in his heart. He embraced her crying tears of a family lost due to his anger.

“Daceria will you ever forgive me?” he asked after letting her go.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 10, 2010 3:31 pm

“Yes, forgiveness is the first part of healing a wounded heart.” smiled Daceria wiping away his tears. She looked out the window as the leaves on the tree swayed and the oak stood solid just like they had stood after the attack. Daceria had to go back to their hideout though because the hunters still had a hold of Forest, Kallman and Kai. She had to go back for them but she’d have to wait till morning then Darkstorm’s wounds would be healed. The hunters they faced we’re mostly all killed except a few hundred including Keri who had escaped the grasp of death from their swords. Daceria made a vow to kill her the next time they acquitted with one another. Daceria stood up in silence and looked to Darkstorm.

“I’m going to bed wake me in the morning when you are ready to once again face the hunters.” yawned Daceria heading to her bedroom and lying down for the night.

Darkstorm laid awake for the longest time thinking. His sister wouldn’t be going through this if it wasn’t for him and she had forgiven him just like if he had spilled a glass of milk on the floor. Daceria had a big heart and he knew her heart was breaking everyday she was without Adam for he was her mate.

*****

Meanwhile Kedro and Keri were alone with the captives. Kedro was yelling at Keri for losing the battle with Daceria and her brother Darkstorm.

“You said you could handle it and now one hundred of my men are dead or seriously injured. I trusted you Keri. Fail me again and you’ll be the next to find an eternal resting place!” yelled Kedro. Kedro released his grasp on Keri and looked into the cell.

“The good news is Daceria will come back to our little hideout and when she does we’ll be ready. Keri take Forest out. We’re going to need her.” spoke Kedro an evil smiled formed on his moist lips. Not only was Adam evil but now it was time for Forest to be on their side. Keri opened the cell, Kallman and Kai were chained tightly against the wall but Forest was on a bed with her hands tied behind her back. Keri put a sword to her back as they left with Kedro. Forest glanced back with tears whispering “I love you guys, tell Daceria I’m sorry.” and with that the door slammed.

“Kallman we have to stop them!” shouted Kai struggling to free himself. Kallman looked to his younger brother.

“I need you to get angry really, really angry. The only
way we’re going to get out of here is if we both transform into our wolf forms.” replied Kallman. Kallman started to think of what Kedro and Keri could do to Forest and with that his eyes turned red. Kai followed suit. Slowly the chains because lighter as their full demon body’s transformed into two huge gray wolfs. Kallman smashed his brother and him out of the cell.

“Kai can you sense in which directing they headed with Forest?” asked Kallman his sharp claws digging into the dark paved cement of the hunter’s hideout. The cement cracked between his paws as they walked on.

“Kallman follow me, I smell Forest’ scent.” replied Kai as they began to run farther north.

On the other hand Forest was alone with one the hunters in a darkened room. She was still bond her hands tied behind a chair. The hunter was in front of her pacing back and forth. It was a male demon hunter so it wasn’t’ Keri. Forest wanted to ask why the hunters didn’t kill her and her sister. There had to be a reason but what. He stopped and looked at her.

“I may be a demon hunter but I want to help you escape.” he whispered. He went behind the chair and sliced the ropes with his pocket knife. Forest felt relieved yet confused as to why one of the hunters would want to help her. Forest embraced him, he blushed and quickly pulled away.

“My name is Russell and what Kedro doesn’t know could kill me but I’ve accepted that fate to do a good deed. I will get you and your friends out of here.” he whispered.

Suddenly the door was smashed down and tow huge gray wolfs entered. They growled at the hunter but Forest stood in the way. She knew immediately what to do. She went to them and whispered to the one of the left, “Relax he’s on our side.” and with that Kallman turned back to a human like form and once again Kai followed suit.

“Forest...” Kallman muttered as he embraced her. “ I was so worried that they were going to do something horrible to you and I’m just so glad you’re not hurt.” Kallman declared starting to grow tears in his eyes. Never before had he cried but now he let the tears roll down his face. Tears of happiness and mostly relief. Everything would go back to normal and he was sure of it. Kai tapped him on the shoulder.

“We better get out of here and quick.” spoke Kai trembling.

“Follow me and no one will be able to find you.” explained Russell tapping on the wall to reveal a secret passageway. They entered quickly and the wall closed behind them.

“So how are we going to get through this passageway if we can’t see?” asked Forest.

“Very easily.” smiled Russell for snapping his fingers. All of a sudden a row straight of candles began to burn.

“Wow, amazing! Thank you Russell for helping up.” spoke Kai bowing to him. Kallman grunted and took Forest by the arm as they walked further and further into the secret passageway.

They came to a door with some kind of maze on it. Russell looked stumped and turned to them.

“I’m a fairly new hunter so I haven’t been through this passageway very much. I don’t remember how to get past this door.” he explained.

“Well, we’ll just have to figure it out I don’t plan to be sticking around this trashcan.” smirked Kallman. Kallman went to the door and some pieces of the maze weren’t there. On the handle there was a key. The key had a written clue on it.

“Those seeking passage must not use their strength to pass but something far great. I admit only those who pass my challenge.” the key said.

“Russell how did this tunnel originate and who created it?” asked Kallman. Russell thought deeply before responding to Kallman’s question.

“Hmm.. I haven’t even been here for a year yet. I was the newest hunter until Adam showed up.

“Do you know how we can change Adam back to the way he was?” asked Forest who was obviously thinking of Daceria and how much she missed Adam.

“Well, it’s not that simple. I remembered seeing him recently. They erased his memory of everything and are training him to capture Daceria and kill all of you guys except you Forest. There is a way though. It’s very difficult, you would need to somehow bring back some kind of memory of when he was good. Adam is a very talented hunter. Daceria, Darkstorm, and Forest are the only marks left on our most wanted list.” Russell explained.

“I mean I know he was a good guy but if he really wanted to he could take over as leader of the demon hunters.” replied Russell.

Kallman was still scratching his head over how to get past the locked door.

“If you can’t use your strength that means you can’t bust it open without setting a trap.” Forest spoke thinking. The message on the key helped a little but Forest and the others had no idea how to solve the puzzle.

On the door there were symbols but what could they mean? All of a sudden they heard footsteps heading their way.

“We need to figure this out before Kedro and the others find us.” Spoke Russell.

Forest looked back to see if she could see any hunters heading their way. All she saw was a straight row of candles the flames burning furiously.

“No sign of them but we’d better hurry before they do show up.” Replied Forest. Forest thought about her older sister. Where was she and was she harmed from the hunters last attack on her twentieth birthday. How had it affected her? Forest was worried because she knew Daceria had a big heart. She also wondered what had happened to Darkstorm, was he alive or was he dead? She looked to Kallman who was moving the symbols around in a certain order. Kallman pulled on the door it was bolted shut. Kallman grunted and slammed against the door with rage. All of a sudden Kallman fell through a hole that had triggered from his trying to use strength to open the door.

Kallman looked around confused. He had let his anger get to him. Forest was up there with just Kai to protect her. A figure stepped out of the shadows, one that he knew from heart.
PostPosted: Tue Jun 22, 2010 2:10 pm

Kedro stepped into view and smiled a huge grin.

“So wolf boy what’s wrong can’t control your anger?” grinned Kedro.

“Grr.. Kedro you and your stupid tricks! Why are you after Forest?” asked Kallman.

“Why? You of all people should know why.” Smirked Kedro.

“Well I don’t. She’s not part of Daceria’s clan, she’s an orphan!” growled Kallman. Kedro laughed and snapped his fingers.

“I don’t have time for you to cause trouble. Guards! Take him away as far away as possible and throw him into the ocean. Give the sharks a tasty wolf to munch on. Oh and I’ll get the girl shortly. I’m going to take her as mine!” smirked Kedro.

“What!?!” Kallman growled his anger full of hate as he charged at Kedro. Kedro stepped out of the way and Kallman land right in the hands of Kedro’s hunters. They chained him and carried him away. Kedro smiled the entire time as Kallman struggled against the hunters with no success.

“Hmm.. One down two to go. The other wolf boy and Russell. No one betrays me and lives to tell the tale.”
*****

On the other hand Forest had successfully figured out the symbols alignment and the door swung open. It opened to what Forest had missed so much, the outside and freedom. Kai grabbed Forest by the arm and turned her to him.

“You do realize Kallman is still in there right?” spoke Kai with a worried look on his face. He wanted to know what his older brother might be facing.

“I know but if we go back we’ll get caught. We need to find Daceria and Darkstorm and make a plan to defeat Kedro once and for all.” Replied Forest. She knew in her heart if Kallman had been caught that he was probably dead. She hoped she was wrong and Kallman would come home safely but, there was no way to save him without getting recaptured by the hunters. Kai stood there understanding exactly what Forest meant.

“Do you think Daceria and Darkstorm are still at Daceria’s tree?” asked Kai.

“I don’t know. I hope at least that my sister is there.” Replied Forest.

Meanwhile the hunters were on their way to feeding Kallman to the sharks. Kallman was grunting and pushing against them. The hunters laughed and joked along the way.

“Do you remember what it was like before Kedro became our leader?” questioned one hunter. The others gathered in a circle and sat down. Ten of them seated Kallman who was still chained up.

“What do you mean before Kedro was leader?” asked another who was fairly new.

“Well about twenty years ago when I joined the hunters Kedro wasn’t the leader. The leader then was named Manikai. He was very old. I would say about sixty years old. He started the hunters when a fox escaped him. He was so ashamed by this fact and started the demon hunters. He eventually got and skinned the fox that escaped him.” Explained the hunter looking to Kallman who looked back at him with an evil stare.

“You hunters are supposed to be throwing me in the ocean. I’m in no hurry so take your time.” Laughed Kallman. Kallman was struggling to get out of his bondage while the hunters amused themselves.

“Shut up wolf boy or we’ll slit your throat right now.” One hunter remarked. Kallman grew quiet and listened to their conservation.

“So, as I was saying Manikai formed together a band of hunters. Twenty total. Manikai added more and more hunters as he got older. Myself I was added in the late 1900s. Kedro was added shortly added me. Manikai liked Kedro’s moves. He told Kedro that when he passed on that Kedro would become the next leader of the demon hunters. Manikai passed on about ten years after that. Everything changed completely when Kedro became the leader. He showed us the “rare” demons and the worthless demons. Kedro showed us or very first sight of Daceria. Kedro had told us how the hunters before him had murdered the entire clan of silver wolves except Daceria and Darkstorm.” The hunter explained.

“Wow, I never knew all this!” smiled Jack who was a fairly new hunter.

“Then where does the full wolf fit into this.” Jack asked pointing to Kallman who was falling asleep. He was marked with bruises from trying to escape his bondage.

“That’s a good question Jack.” The eldest one replied. “It’s simple he has take allegiance with Daceria and Darkstorm. He hangs out with our prey. He helped Forest the younger wolf to escape our grasp.” He explained.

“We’d better get rid of the wolf before Keri or Kedro come after us.” Sean said who was scared of Kedro’s power over the hunters.

“Oh don’t worry, he’s not going anywhere.” The eldest replied.

“Is there anything else you want to know about the hunters?” asked the eldest.

“Is there more than just us? Are there other hunters?” asked one.

“Yes, there are fifty clans of demons hunters throughout the world. Many of them are a higher class than us. I personally think we need a better leader. One like Manikai.” He explained.

Kallman looked out into the open ocean. He may be chained but if he could walk to the ocean and get the water to loosen them up a bit. Kallman began to stand up. The hunters noticed his movement and stood in his path.

“In a hurry to die wolf?” asked one while the rest gathered their swords. Kallman gave no answer just turned his gaze toward the ocean and possibly his death. The hunters pushed him with their swords toward the ocean. A boat was waiting for them. The ramp came down and slammed against the ground with a loud thud! Keri came down from the ramp and greeted them.

“Well, well, well if it isn’t Kallman. Oh I hate to see you reduced to this. Kedro has ordered you dead but I can save you.” Keri smiled.

“I’d rather die.” Remarked Kallman.

“Oh, silly Kallman why so hasty against me?” smiled Keri lifted up Kallman’s chin with one finger.

“Heh..so much opportunity for you and your going to ruin it because of your hasty attitude. “she explained then she kissed his lips.

“I’ll miss you. Okay take him onboard.” Keri instructed reentering the ship with the hunters following behind her. Once they were all inside she commanded the hunters to put Kallman in her cabin. The night turned late and the new moon rose in the darkened sky. It started to pour down a gigantic rainfall.

Kallman looked out the window and watched the rain fall upon the ocean with a thunderous roar. A loud thump came from the door and Keri entered and locked the door behind her.

“Hello again Kallman. I hope you don’t mind but you’ll be staying with me until we reach our destination. The middle of the ocean.” Smiled Keri sitting down beside him.

“Listen I don’t care if I die but I will die loyal to my mate. No funny ideas understood??” asked Kallman with a angered expression on his face. Keri turned to him and smiled.

“Don’t worry I won’t be seducing you or torturing you into having sex with me. I had those plans but something came up that changed my view of you Kallman.” Keri explained.

“What changed your mind, just curious?” asked Kallman expressionless.

“Kedro proposed to me and asked me to be his wife. I said yes knowing with him by my side we’d rule the demon hunters for centuries to come.” Explained Keri.

“What!?!” Kallman was shocked. He was chained but he stood up in protest.

“You do realize that he has been trying to seduce Daceria and he likes Forest as well.” Declared Kallman who was locking his emotions at the thought of Forest and Kai possibly being killed as well.

“Keri you may kill me but I must know. What are Kedro’s intentions once he has Daceria and Forest together?” asked Kallman pleading on his knees.

“Um.. well.” She stopped.

“What? Tell me. Please.” He begged.

“He plans to seduce them, take their powers and finally sell them to the highest bidding demon slayer.” She answered.

“No, Forest I won’t allow it. I’ll kill him before he touches my wife!” Kallman growled.

“Wife? I missed the wedding?” Keri asked smiling.

“No, I haven’t even asked her yet. I probably won’t get to tell her exactly how much I love her.” He remarked.

“So sad.” Keri replied. “Sorry but Kedro ordered you dead. I must follow my instructions of my future husband.”

“The thought of you with that sick, demented, cruel Kedro.” Replied Kallman grossing out.

“Well, trust me Kallman you won’t be around long enough, to even see us get married.” Smiled Keri. Lightning struck from outside the ship. Keri looked out the window, it was nearing sunrise.

“Oh my it’s time my dear. Let us go out to the dock.” Commanded Keri as Kallman and herself left the room and went onto the dock. There was a long plank like the ones pirates used set at the end of the dock.

“Guards stand halt!” commanded Keri as the ten guards appeared.

“Keri remember our duties. You can’t let your emotions get to you.” Instructed Jack.

“I know Jack, that is why as of now you’re in charge of his death.” Replied Keri as she left to return to her room.

“Congrats, Jack!” the eldest one spoke. “Were all proud of your new rank as sub leader for Keri.”

Kallman stood in his chains sighing. He was constantly thinking about his life. If he lived what would he have told Forest? He loved her since day one but for the longest time kept his emotions in tack. He didn’t want to break his heart as he had once before. Kallman was twenty four soon to be twenty five. When he was fifteen he had a girl he loved.
PostPosted: Tue Jun 22, 2010 2:18 pm

When he was fifteen he had dated a full demon wolf named Rachel. She was quite the beauty. He hadn’t always lived in the swamp. He had once lived up in the rocky mountains. He met her on one of his walks to the weapons shop in the village. She had been in the forest on his way there. He remembered the day like it was yesterday.

“Hi, I’m Rachel what’s your name/” she asked.

“Kallman.” Replied Kallman.

“Huh? Never heard that name before. What clan do you belong to?” she asked.

“Clan? I have no clan, only a little brother who I haven’t seen for ages.” Replied Kallman.

“You can join mine. I have seven brothers and three sisters. I’m in the middle. I’m not the oldest and I’m not the baby either.” She smiled.

“No thanks. I prefer traveling alone.” Replied Kallman. She looked at me and smiled.

“Alone? Why don’t you have a mate?” she asked.

“No I don’t. I’ve never looked for one. Why should they suffer because of me.” Explained Kallman.

“Suffer, why would they suffer?” she asked as she stopped him in his tracks.

“Remember I don’t have a clan and when you look for a mate you like to expand your clan. I cannot do that for my mate, if I even have one.” Remarked Kallman.

After that day she had convinced him to be her mate. They had spent two years together until the day she broke his heart. A tall dark wolf named Zek came from the land of the dead with his clan of black wolves. They were completely black from ears to tail. Even their nose were black. Rachel was out by herself and he was watching as the leader approached her. His name was Zek.

“My my what a beauty we have here! What do you think boys? Is she hot or what?” asked Zek getting nose to nose with my Rachel.

“Sorry I’m taken.” Snorted Rachel crossing her arms over her chest.

“Wow sir she sure told you!” laughed the others.

“You guys have no right to laugh. My fair beauty do you realize just who I am?” asked Zek.

“Nope nor do I care.” Remarked Rachel with her back still turned. He looked at her then at his clan.

“My name is Zek and I’m the leader of the black
wolves clan. These are my younger brothers. We are all pure wolf and pure power. Be my mate and the world shall be your play toy.” Remarked Zek holding out his hand.

“I told you, I’m taken.” Replied Rachel starting to walk toward me until Zek grabbed her by the wrist.

“Whoever you have chosen remember that I am the top of all wolves. I wish to challenge your mate one day and when I win you will be mine.” Remarked Zek with confidence. He kept talking to her trying to pursue her but with no luck. I thought that’s a loyal mate, but then as Zek turned to walk away another black wolf approached from the clan. He bowed before Rachel.

“My dear will you be our queen? Make us strong and beautiful.” Asked Evan.

“Queen?” asked Rachel.

“He didn’t tell you but our leader is the king of the black wolves. He controls the dead lands, swamps and abandoned places. He is the strongest wolf I’ve known and I’ve seen many wolves. What do you say will you join us?” asked Evan.

“Yes, I will.” She spoke as she took Evan by the hand and they fled away. Kallman fell to his knees and cried his heart out. After all the kindness she had shown she had betrayed him.

Kallman snapped out of his memories and looked at the water below. He turned back and swords jabbed him. Kallman decided this was his fate. He thought what if Forest betrayed him as Rachel had such a long time ago.

“Get a move on wolf!” demanded Jack pushing Kallman into the ocean. Kallman’s body smashed in the rushing ocean water and he sunk under the water. He tried to loosen his bindings but the weight of the chains was too much underwater.

Meanwhile back at the hunters hideout. Forest and Kai had escaped and were no at the entrance to the hideout.

“Kai where do you think they took Kallman?” asked Forest worried sick about the one she loved.

“I haven’t the slightest idea. All I know is Kallman is tough, I believe he’s alive somewhere.” Replied Kai with a stern expression on his face. Russell who had come back out of the hideout finally spoke up.

“Kedro’s mind is wicked, demented and sick, he probably did something like feeding him to the sharks or some nonsense like that.” Explained Russell.

“Well, Forest ready to go for a swim?” asked Kai.

“I wouldn’t doubt Kedro of doing that.” Spoke Kai.

“Um, the ocean is huge he could be anywhere under the ocean and what if we’re too late?” asked Forest.

“Forest he’s my brother I know without a doubt he’s fighting to stay alive not only for you but for all of us.” Explained Kai.

“Okay, I understand. We’re going to need a boat.” Spoke Forest.

“No, not a boat a submarine. Surely if he was captured he’ll be chained and near the bottom of the ocean.” Remarked Russell as he pulled out his keys to all things the hunters owned.

“The demon hunters own a submarine. I can take you to it. We’ll have to hurry if we want to save Kallman.” Russell led them to the ship and they quickly got inside and Russell stared the engine.

“Okay everybody buckle up and hold on tight. We’re going into the ocean. The submarine shot out like a rocket and went deep to the under lengths of the ocean’s water. It was dark and deep, Russell kept the telescope of the submarine above water to find the hunters ship.

On the other hand Kallman had been under for a good ten minutes. He was losing his strength. He was a full demon but he wasn’t meant to hold his breath for so long. He took a breather and the water sank into his lungs and he began to lose conscious. All he could think about was Kedro’s nasty remark.

“I will take her.” Kedro was going to rape Forest. Kallman saw a light was it the light of heaven? A claw from the light picked him up and Kallman landed on the floor of the submarine.

“Kallman, Kallman are you okay?” asked Forest getting to her knees and holding his body up patting his back to release any water that had damaged his lungs. Kallman coughed and coughed not able to respond to Forest. Kai and Russell used their brute strength to break Kallman from his binding and Kallman spoke.

“Freedom” he coughed. Forest wanted to embrace him but she knew Kallman need medical attention but there were no doctors aboard. At least that’s what she thought until Kai stepped up.

“I’ll take care of my brother. Russell steer us to Kallman’s swamp.” Explained Kai helping his brother up and taking him into the room in the back.

“Kai.” Coughed Kallman as more and more water came out of his mouth.

“What happened?” asked Kai while giving Kallman medical attention.

“You really have to ask that?” coughed Kallman. “They tried to kill me and failed.”

“Here take this.” Instructed Kai giving Kallman a dose of cough medicine. Kai checked his forehead and his heartbeat. Both were just above normal meaning his older brother was going to make it. Kai helped his brother to get out of his wet clothing. Kai took the clothes and hung them over the dresser. He tucked Kallman under a firm warm blanket.

“You must rest and regain your strength and don’t even think about getting up unless you have help understood?” instructed Kai.

“I want to see Forest.” coughed Kallman laying naked under the blanket.

“Okay…I’ll bring in her in a couple of minutes but please brother rest.” spoke Kai as he left the room to get Forest.

“How is he Kai?” asked Forest still worried about Kallman.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 24, 2010 4:41 pm

“Go ask him. He’s waiting for you.” spoke Kai pointing to the cracked door. Forest entered and shut the door behind her. Kallman saw her and struggled as he sat straight up his bare chest exposed.

“Kallman how are you?” she asked going to him and grabbing his hands.

“Just peachy.” laughed Kallman feeling a little bit better knowing Forest wasn’t harmed.

“Kallman…please spare me the joke. Are you okay?” she asked.

“Yep, just soaking wet. Being sent down to the bottom of the ocean is no picnic. I’m just lucky to be here. Forest I wanted to ask you something in case I don’t get to ask it in the future.”

“What?” asked Forest. Kallman looked her straight in the eyes and struggled to find the exact words.

“Forest with all my heart will you..” he stuttered thinking about his past. “Forest I honestly don’t know how to say this without stutter. Will you be my mate and swear to be loyal till death?” asked Kallman.

“Yes, Kallman yes!” she cried with such happiness she embraced Kallman forgetting about his recent lung problems. Kallman threw a coughing fit and Forest let go saying I’m sorry constantly. Forest took Kallman’s hand as Russell drove the submarine to the nearest shoreline.

“We’re here. I’m glad we found him. He still looks like he’s in bad shape.” commented Russell.

“Thanks Russell whatever your reason for turning good, thank you.” smiled Forest as she embraced him then all except Russell they got out of the submarine and in the sand.

“How far is it to the swamp?” asked Forest.

“I’m the only one going to the swamp. Kai and yourself will go get Daceria and Darkstorm and bring them to the swamp. I have a plan, those hunters will regret trying to kill me.” growled Kallman.

“Kallman.” spoke Forest going to him for an embrace but Kallman pushed her away.

“No Forest you need to control you emotions. Go get your sister and I want you both back within an hour.” instructed Kallman as he turned his back to them and walked off in the shadows of the forest into the swamp. Kallman had many reasons for wanting to be alone. He didn’t want to even think of Kedro’s comments toward Forest. She was only sixteen and he was planning to take her. Kallman would die before Kedro even touched her in such a cruel sick way. Kallman climbed up to his tree house and laid down on his couch counting the odds of Kedro surrendering a million to one. He put his arms behind his head strategizing.

“How to defeat Kedro?” thought Kallman. He hadn’t even known who Kedro was until he met Forest. Forest somehow no matter how hard he tried to focus on Kedro his thoughts always went straight back to her. He hit himself with his left arm and went back to thinking.

“How to defeat Kedro?” thought Kallman. “Maybe. No that wouldn’t work.” Kallman shrugged and put his hands on his face.

“Arrgh.. I wish I could just stab that b*****d in the heart and be done with it. All these stupid demon hunters!” he grunted so frustrated he slammed pillows to the ground and went outside. He stood on his branch and jumped down to the ground level. He looked around and his venus fly trap came out of hiding and sniffed Kallman up and down.

Forest and Kai we’re still shocked at Kallman’s sudden outburst of anger. What had the hunters said to him, more importantly what had they done to him? They knew they threw him into the ocean but what else had they done to make him so vengeful? Forest had never seen Kallman’s anger until now.

“Kai why is Kallman so angry?” asked Forest as they walked into the forest towards Daceria’s tree.

“Hmm.. Hard to say. Kallman doesn’t get angry. Not unless something huge bugs him. In all the years I’ve known him I’ve never seen him this angry.”

“Wow, and you’ve known Kallman your entire life.” spoke Forest.

“Something must be on his mind. Something important that happened or might happen that he doesn’t want us to know for some unknown reason.” explained Kai.

“Kallman is secretive but I’m sure if it was important he would tell us. Maybe Kedro said something to him that disturbed him. “suggested Forest as they approached Daceria’s tree where Daceria and Darkstorm were talking outside.

“Hey Daceria!” yelled Forest running up and embracing her older sister and Kai walked up to Darkstorm and stared at him.

“Forest?” asked Daceria stunned that Forest was okay.

“How did you guys escape the hunters? Where are they now?” asked Daceria. Forest shrugged her shoulders.

“I don’t have a clue but something’s wrong with Kallman.” explained Forest.

“Strange. What’s wrong with him?” asked Daceria.

“We don’t know, he just told us to come and get you guys and meet back at the swamp.” explained Forest.

“Okay Darkstorm and myself we’re about ready to come after you guys. Did he hurt you?” asked Daceria with deep concern for her younger sister.

“No they didn’t hurt me but they tried to turn me evil like Adam.”

“What!?!” screamed Daceria now outraged with anger and a fire in her green eyes.

“Sister, please it’s okay. One of the hunters actually saved my life.” explained Forest.

“ A hunter saved you? Who and why?” asked Daceria.

“I don’t know why but his name is Russell. He told me he wanted to help us even if it cost his life.” remarked Forest.

“Interesting. I bet he could tell us where the hunters are and when there planning to attack.” Daceria grinned at knowing Kedro’s plans. Darkstorm looked her way and spoke.

“If he betrayed the hunters he’s probably dead or being hunted as we are.” explained Darkstorm.

“Yeah, that true. I remember when I dated Kedro he treated me like a queen. Now that I’ve broken up with him he wants to take me as his and kill all that I love. In simple words he wants to be my only option that’s why he took away Adam.” explained Daceria tears forming in her eyes and she went to Darkstorm and cried in his arms and he held her close whispering to her it’s ok.

Forest and Kai joined in on the embrace and comforted Daceria. Daceria was relieved by her overwhelming emotions and calmed down.

“Thanks guys.” smiled Daceria. Forest, Kai and Darkstorm we’re shocked that Daceria smile.

“Daceria sister wow we can’t believe it. We haven’t seen you smile since Adam left.” exclaimed Forest with happiness.

“Guys, we’d better be on our way to Kallman’s swamp.” spoke Kai looking toward the forest.

“Hold on Kai give me a minute.” replied Darkstorm entering Daceria’s tree.

Darkstorm searched the inside of the tree for any thing Adam might remember. There was absolutely nothing. Darkstorm had hoped he could find something to cheek his sister up more. With no satisfaction he rejoined the others.

“Okay, now I’m ready.” Darkstorm spoke taking his sister by the arm.

“I hope Kallman will tell us what is making him so angry.” hoped Forest as they walked toward the swamp. It was getting dark so Forest knew they had to hurry before the bugs came out. They kept at a steady pace but something stopped them. A young demon boy was stuck in a hunter’s trap.
A note had been left signed by Adam.

Dear Daceria,

This is only an example of what’s to come. I will recapture you. I will kill your brother and make Kedro your mate. So enjoy your freedom while it lasts. (laughs)

Love, Adam.

Darkstorm broke the trap with his bare hands and Daceria ripped the note into pieces. She growled and snarled at Adam’s comments. The boy was covered in blood and his breathing was very heavy yet he spoke.

“Who are you?” he asked trying to stand and falling to his knees.

“I’m Daceria and these guys are Darkstorm my brother, Forest my sister and Kai is a friend.” explained Daceria.

“Why brother saving me?” he asked.

“The hunters have no right to torture us demons because some of us are actually good and don’t want to cause trouble.” explained Daceria.

“Oh, I remember the hunter that attacked me he said
he had nothing against me but he had to set an example.” the demon explained.

“What’s your name and do you have family?” asked Forest curiosity getting the better of her.

“Name? My name is Matthew but you can call me Matt.” he smiled. “As for family I have a clan but it’s small. My father Mika, my mother Lena and my younger sister Rose.” he explained.

“How old are you?” asked Daceria.

“I’m twenty-two years old and my sister’s about eighteen. I don’t remember how old my parents are.” smiled Matthew.

“What kind of demon full or half?” asked Daceria full of questions.

“I’m a full demon so I’ll heal up soon but I don’t think I can walk on my right leg. It was in that trap for so long that I’m not sure the pain has stopped yet.” he explained.

“No worries, Kai he is good with medicine and he’ll have you walking by sunrise.’ smiled Forest patting Kai on the shoulder and he glared are her for revealing his talent to a stranger they just met.

“Oh, no I cannot accept I just met you guys. I understood you want to help but I’ll be fine.” Matthew explained gaining strength and standing straight up and Daceria saw a scroll within his belt.

“You have a scroll but how?” she asked.

Matthew looked to where she was pointed and pulled his scroll out of his belt.

“My father gave it to me he said I would know what it meant someday.” smiled Matthew handing the scroll to Daceria. Daceria looked down the scroll, same spells, same amount of power. He wasn’t a wolf so he wasn’t related but he could cast spells. Daceria wanted to know how to use some of the spells that we’re yet too strong for her to cast.

“How many of these have you cast?” she asked in wonder of how to do them herself.

“Well, I only know the teleportation spell. The others I haven’t even thought about using.” he explained forcing a smile as he put a hand behind his head.

“Okay how far have you teleported?” asked Daceria.

“Not far to the village, the land of the dead, and the mountain lands.” he explained.

“Why would you go to those places?” asked Darkstorm knowing those areas like the back of his hand.

“Well, I haven’t seen my sister for two years and my parents sent me to find her.” explained Matthew.

The sun was rising in front of them and Forest and Kai realized they had forgotten about meeting Kallman before nightfall and it was now a new day. Forest wondered still why he was angry. She wanted to question him when they got to the swamp.

“Would you like to help us in defeating the demon hunters?” asked Forest eyes toward the swamp and towards the man she loved.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 24, 2010 4:45 pm

“Oh I would be honored to have my revenge on them but I must find my sister.” replied Matthew as he bowed to Daceria.

“I never before know that I would be saved by the princess of the wolves.” smiled Matt as he stood back up.

“I thought I was the princess of just the silver wolves. You mean to tell me you know who I am? “ she asked.

“Yes actually I knew your father Ace. He was a great king very respectful of other clans.” he remarked.

“What do you know about my family?” asked Daceria.

“Well, I only knew your father through my
father who was slain by the hunters.

“Oh, so my father knew yours. I don’t know much about mine he was also slain by the hunters when I was only four. I remember very little about him.” explained Daceria.

“Daceria your father in my opinion was the greatest king of wolves that we’ve ever had. If you decide to marry a prince there will be a new king and I believe he’ll be the greatest king of tem all.” Matthew smiled.

“Wait, do demons have to marry?” she asked.

“No, they don’t have to but it’s recommend
especially in when their almost the last of their clan.” Matt explained.

“I prefer to be alone with my brother here Darkstorm.” Daceria explained pointing out Darkstorm who had stood silent until now.

“Daceria my sister has been through so much in just a year that marrying right now is out of the question.” Explained Darkstorm.

“No one said she had to marry now, just that it would be good to start looking for a mate.” Explained Matt who was memorized by Daceria’s beauty. He didn’t want to admit his feeling for her until the others were gone and it would be difficult to separate Daceria from Darkstorm’s protection. He didn’t care for the other wolf, she was nothing special worth him taking. He was a fox demon meaning he was sneaky so he would figure out a way for just Daceria and himself to “chat.” He smirked at the thought.

“Matt we need to be on our way. Thanks for the information on my family but I must deal with my issues now.” Explained Daceria as a group they started to walk away. Matt saw the scroll within Daceria’s belt and carefully snuck it off and within his grasp.

“Wait! Daceria I must speak with you alone about our powers.” He explained holding both scrolls. Daceria was shocked that he had taken her scroll without her noticing. Daceria went back while Forest and Kai moved on but Darkstorm hid behind a tree and waited for his sister. No way would he trust a fox demon, especially one that knew magic.

“Tell me Daceria how is it we are the only ones able to cast spells? Do you figure there is a logical reason behind it?” he asked returning the scroll he stole back into Daceria’s belt.

“I don’t know why my father picked me but I know it was my destiny to carry on the legacy of the silver wolfs. I know you can cast but I’m afraid I must look within other wolf clans for a suitable mate. I sense you are intrigued by me and I’m flattered but I’m sorry you can’t have me.” Explained Daceria as she walked out with her brother and left Matt in the shadows of the forest. She entered the swamp where Kallman and Kai were arguing about what to do about the hunters.

No, no, that won’t work! We need to all stick together. You can’t sacrifice yourself for us.” Kai explained.

“I’m only trying to protect Daceria and Forest, they are in the most danger right now.” Kallman replied.

“We will fight this war together as brothers!” explained Kai worried that his brother would be slaughtered if he tried to face the hunters on his own.

“You don’t even know what they are capable of doing to them!” Kallman yelled furious and frustrated. He still had Kedro’s words on his mind and could not calm down. Kai looked at his brother straight in the eyes and held his shoulders tight.

“Brother please...calm down, before something bad happens.” Soothed Kai as Kallman took a deep breath as his little brother had instructed.

“Thank you.” Smiled Kallman looking over to the others and seeing Forest smiling with her sister Daceria. Kallman wrapped his arms around his little brother for the very first time and spoke words of love.

“I love you bro.” spoke Kallman who then let go of his hold on his brother and waited for a response. Kai was stunned, shocked and also very happy. He started to tear up and returned the hug to his brother.

“I love you as well, brother.” Cried Kai with extreme happiness. Daceria and the others watched as the two brothers finally sat together and talked about what had happened between them.

“Kallman, will you please tell me what has been upsetting you and for what reason?” asked Kai sitting next to his brother on an old log, that was starting to rot in many areas but not where they were seated.

“I really didn’t want to worry anyone, but Kedro had spoken horrible things to me, while I was held prisoner.” Explained Kallman taking a breath before continuing.

“What did he say?” asked Kai knowing he was getting quality time with a brother who had been silent for many years.

“I asked him why he was after Forest. His response was he wanted her for her powers and her body.” Replied Kallman.

“What!?!” Kai was shocked by this and he then realized why Kallman was so angry. He looked over to Forest, who was now sitting with Daceria and Darkstorm.

“Are you going to kill him?” asked Kai.

“I will not kill him unless he tries to touch Forest.” Explained Kallman.

“Kedro will not stop until he is destroyed.” Remarked Darkstorm standing and he stood in front of Kallman and Kai.

“What do you know about Kedro?” asked Kai curious of Darkstorm’s knowledge. He was after all the oldest of all of them, even older than Kallman who was twenty four. Kai himself was only sixteen.

“Kedro is a sick man filled with hatred and a pleasure for tormenting others. Kedro was once just a normal human like Adam.” Explained Daceria now standing and Darkstorm sitting down to hear his little sister’s story.

“It wasn’t that long ago. After Forest left at the age of fifteen I needed something to do with my missing her. I tried going to the village but always a human would watch me. During the start of things I gathered the courage to talk to the stranger who had been watching me.

“Hi, who are you and why have you been watching me?” I asked.

“Um...well...I think your beautiful.” Stuttered Kedro knees shaking with nervous gesture. At first I wanted to run, but I wanted to find out more so I agreed to date him. He told me I mustn’t tell anyone of our being a couple. I didn’t understand at first but I accepted knowing the separation of humans and demons.

Kedro met with me the next day. He said he wanted to show me to his friends. I agreed, thinking he’s just showing off to the guys, but then in his house, he locked the door as he turned to me. He spoke my name as if he knew me from birth. I remember his words like it was yesterday.

“Princess Daceria, welcome to the demon hunters headquarters. I am the new leader and our clan of hunters has been after you for the longest time. You are the only one within your family that is half demon. I know this because I helped murder the rest of your clan. Now that I have you, I will take you as my wife and you will teach me how to use magic.” Kedro explained.

Forest couldn’t believe Kedro was such an evil person wanting Daceria all to himself.

“How did you escape him sister?” she asked.

“I tricked him. I made him think I was in love with him long enough to get the keys from his belt and escape. I ran and ran until I was safely locked within my home. After that he no longer watched me and that is how I was able to get to the village to see you Forest.” She explained.

“I was worried about you, sister. I thought you were never going to come visit me.” Replied Forest.

“Well, now we know what Kedro is capable of the only question is, what do we do to stop him for once and for all?” asked Kallman.

“I think that answer is obvious.” Replied Darkstorm holding his sword against his belt.

Meanwhile Kedro was furious with the hunters. No one could locate any of their targets. Kedro thought at the very least Kallman was out of his hair for good. Keri came into Kedro’s room in a silk dress like hunter uniform with her stomach showing. Keri was beautiful and this is why she was the only hunter allowed in his private quarters. He didn’t trust the other hunters. In fact right now, he didn’t trust anyone. No one in the whole clan of hunters, not even Adam had successfully captured Daceria. He would have to think of a way on his own, after all the hunter didn’t like Manikai making him the leader in the first place.
PostPosted: Sat Jun 26, 2010 9:14 am

Kedro felt guilty for not living up to Manikai’s expectations. He had wanted a leader who would erase all the bad myths about hunters. Demon hunters were in the game for money and value, not sex. Kedro was obsessed and he knew how badly he wanted Daceria, not for her rarity but for her. With a sigh, and a broken heart Kedro realized what he would have to do to gain the hunter’s respect. He would have to kill one of their marks. He would kill Darkstorm. Kedro knew in his heart he couldn’t possible kill Daceria. He would gain the hunter’s respect then he would take Daceria as his once and for all.

“Kedro, their waiting for your decision of where to go.” Explained Keri.

“Tell them we will stay here until I myself give the command to move.” Replied Kedro smirking. Keri bowed to him, then went out the door with his respond.

“Kedro has commanded we are not to go anywhere until he commands us!” Keri explained to the hunters.

Russell the good hunter was locked in a dungeon below the main floor. He was chained to a wall by his ankles. He could walk to the bars but no further. He didn’t care what his fate was, at the very least he did something good with his life. Next to him was Ryan, Adam’s younger brother.

“What are they going to do with us?” asked Ryan noticing his cell mate.

“As for you nothing as of yet, but as for myself I will be killed as soon as Kedro speaks kill him.” Replied Russell.

“I don’t understand. Why am I here? Can you tell me that?” asked Ryan.

“You are here because of your brother Adam.” Explained Russell.

“Adam, where is here anyway?” asked Ryan. Russell turned away he didn’t need to know his own brother was a trained killer.

“Please tell me. I know it’s bad, I just want to know if he’s safe.” Pleaded Ryan.

“Fine, your brother is a demon hunter and not just a hunter, the best of the best.” Replied Russell. Ryan went into shock, he couldn’t believe such a thing, his brother couldn’t possibly be evil.

“Why is Kedro going to kill you, aren’t you yourself a hunter?” asked Ryan confused.

“I shall correct you, I was a hunter but I made a decision to be good for once in my life.” Russell replied. “Of all the demons, I’ve killed I figured I could at least save one demon, the most important one.”

“Demons are based on how important they are? I thought it was about value and rarity?”

“It was too Manikai but Kedro wants this demon as his. Kedro needs to step down from his position as leader.” Explained Russell slouching against the wall.

“I know my fate but I won’t let Kedro have Daceria.” Explained Russell slouching now even more trying to make himself comfortable in the conditions. His shackles on his ankles clanged as he got into a good position to lay.

“When will Kedro kill my brother?” asked Ryan.

“I honestly don’t know but as soon as Kedro is sure he has Daceria, nothing else will matter to him.” Explained Russell.

“Does that mean my brother will live?” asked Ryan sitting next to Russell.

“Most likely yes he will live.” Replied Russell. “If he stays a hunter he will over power Kedro and kill him.”

“Has my brother killed anyone as of now?” asked Ryan who was not sure he wanted this question answered.

“Yes, he has killed plenty of demons. All of them on Kedro’s most wanted list. The only demon Kedro wants alive is Daceria and a girl by the name of Forest.” Explained Russell.

A door slammed open and in the doorway, Kedro stood with Keri by his side. He walked over to their cell. He took a key from within his pocket and unlocked the cell’s door.

“Russell, it’s time for your punishment for betraying me.” Smirked Kedro as Keri put Russell in handcuffs as Kedro unlocked his shackles.

“I don’t care what you do to me, at least I saved her.” Grunted Russell.

“Don’t worry, we’ll have her in time. As soon as I kill you.” Smiled Kedro as they took him to the his headquarters.

“You know Russell, you were a talented hunter but unfortunately not talented enough. Keri, my dear please have Adam report to me immediately.” Kedro demanded wanting to be alone with Russell.

Keri bowed to him and left the room. Kedro looked deep into Russell’s eyes. The eyes of a traitor.

“Listen, kid I love Daceria okay, I understand I’m not the greatest leader in the world but as a hunter, your job is to listen. I will let you live but I’m going to erase your memory.” Explained Kedro.

“You can’t do that!” Russell shouted. Adam came in with a pill marked memory loss.

“Now take it or die.” Laughed Kedro as the pill was swallowed by Russell afterwards he was kicked out of the hideout, and he landed in the snow. Kedro had never unshackled him. Russell laid there figuring sooner or later someone would come by and rescue him.

Back in the swamp, it was nearing night. Daceria knew Darkstorm and herself needed to go back to their tree. Daceria took her older brother by the arm, and waved goodbye to the others as they began walking out of the swamp lands.

“Daceria, I’m sorry for causing all this.” Spoke Darkstorm.

“Shh...it’s okay. At least now I know I have you. I thought I was the only one and now I know I’m not alone.” She smiled at him.

“You know Kedro is out to kill me and take you.” He smirked.

“Yes, that is true but Kedro and his hunters have us outnumbered.” Complained Daceria.

“It’s too bad, he’s too stupid to understand that he’s never going to have my sister.” Smirked Darkstorm as they went down the stairs and sat upon the couch together.

“Daceria, I love you.” Smiled Darkstorm putting an arm around his sister as her head laid against his chest. She finally found the family she had always dreamed of.

“I love you, too Darkstorm. I’m glad we’re together. Say when Adam met you did you know I was alive?” she asked.

“No, I didn’t know you were alive. I thought the hunters had succeeded in destroying our legacy. I knew I had very little magic and I knew I didn’t have the scroll.” Explained Darkstorm.

“Well I didn’t know that I had a brother until Adam asked about the most wanted list. Did you know your number two on the list?” asked Daceria.

“Who’s number one?” smirked Darkstorm already knowing the answer to such a silly question.

“Number one on the list is me and I’m wanted alive, your wanted dead.” She replied.

“Yeah, if Kedro wants me dead he’ll have to kill me himself instead of cowering behind his hunters.” Laughed Darkstorm.

It was snowing where Russell had been tossed and his hands were freezing. Slowly he got onto his feet and started walking. He had no idea where he was going but hopefully it was somewhere warm and they had the power to get him out of his cuffs. Russell knew he didn’t deserve Kedro’s punishment. Kedro was too much of a coward to kill Russell so he had him vanished to the land of no return. Russell knew in his mind that Kedro was now telling Adam how great he was for banishing himself from the league of the hunters.

Russell saw light in the mist of the snow storm and he started to walk towards it. It could be his mind playing tricks on him but he was going to take a chance. A snow wolf came out of the light and appeared before him.

“Who are you and why are you within my mountains? she asked. Russell stared at her for at least a minute making sure he wasn’t crazy.

“Um...my name is Russell and I was vanished from my land for being a good hunter.” Bowed Russell.

“A hunter? Not often does a hunter end up in these parts. You are bound, do you wish to be released?” asked the snow wolf.

“Yes, I would if you are that kind. “He bowed once again to the wolf. She took her sword from within its sheath and sliced the cuffs off of Russell and onto the ground as snowflakes.

“Thank you. I have a question. Where am I?” asked Russell.

“You are in the land of the snow mountains. For centuries these mountains were known for hiding away a horrible monster. Time has changed and that monster no longer live because of the demon hunters.” She replied.

“Oh, okay so why are you here in these sacred mountains?” asked Russell.

“The monster chased me here and killed my entire family.” She replied.

“You sound like the girl I saved from the hunters. She is also the last of her clan along with her brother Darkstorm. Have you ever heard of a girl by the name of Daceria?” asked Russell.

“Sorry, I can’t say that I’ve heard of her. Have you heard of a male wolf by the name of Kallman?” she asked.

“Actually yes, I know a little about him but Daceria and him are friends.” Replied Russell as she walked back from where she came and signaled for him to follow. The snow wolf thought to herself, so my little brother is alive after all.

“I shall let you stay with me, until I figure out where my brother is.” She spoke to him entering the cave as he followed.

“You’re related to Kallman? How come you look nothing like him?” asked Russell.

“Well, I was born to a different mother, a beautiful snow wolf. Our father was a rare breed of wolf. He was a friend of the king Ace. Ace was a kind king but unfortunately was killed by the hunters.”

“Wait, Ace is Daceria’s father!” replied Russell.

“Strange I didn’t recall him having a daughter.” She replied.

“Well, he did. She and her eldest brother are the last of the silver wolves.” Explained Russell.

On the other hand Kallman and Forest were preparing for rest.

“Kallman, we haven’t seen Kai lately. Where do you think he disappeared to?” asked Forest.

“I have no idea but I’m sure he’ll come around sooner or later.” Replied Kallman, as they fell into a deep slumber together.

Kai was wandering through the forest, wondering why everyone was happy but him. Kallman had Forest, Daceria had Adam and Darkstorm, and even Kedro had Keri. Where was his girl? He knew he wanted Forest but he would never tell anyone that especially with Forest dating his brother. Hey at least Forest would be related to him. He started walking deeper within the forest. Kai didn’t know where he was heading but he hoped it was far away from Forest. He would come back but for now, he needed to be away from everyone. Kai looked back once more as he continued to walk and whispered softly “Goodbye.” With his hands in his pockets, he closed his eyes and walked into the shadows of the deepest part of the forest.

Kedro was finally having a hunters meeting. He told all hunters to report outside. All tow hundred that were left went outside to wait for the meeting to start. Kedro came out with a cloak on for the first time. He put the hood down as he stepped up to the post to make his speech and Keri followed behind him, wearing an elegant sexy white lace dress which revealed at both ends by her hips. He kissed Keri and then she took a seat in her place as queen of the hunters.

“Welcome everyone, as you know we have failed in our last several attempts to keep Daceria capture, along with Forest as well. As your leader I’m thoroughly disappointed with all of you. I have decided that I will go on the next attempt with fifty of our best fighters. Right now I don’t know your strength levels. We will have a friendly competition to see which hunters are staying and which will be lucky enough to help me kill Darkstorm and capture Daceria once and for all. Now, Keri your turn.” Declared Kedro stepping away from the post to let Keri speak. Keri stood up and approached the post.

“Oh, another thing to you hunters. Be aware of Russell. He is the good hunter that has prevented us from successfully capturing and keeping Forest. Now the ones who don’t go with Kedro will go with me to get Forest for good.” Spoke Keri grinning. She stepped away from the post, took Kedro’s hand as they descended into the leader’s room. As they left the hunters began and chattering.

“I bet I’ll go with Kedro!” exclaimed Kyle very cocky of his strength.

“Ha! You couldn’t kill a demon if your life depended on it.” The others laughed.

“You guys have no idea just how strong I am.” He remarked.

“Kyle come here!” demanded Kedro stepping slightly out of his room. Kyle rushed over to find out what his leader wanted from him.

“Yes sir, what do you require of me?” he asked his knees shaking.

“I’m putting you in charge of this competition. Prepare the hunters for battle. Pair them up by twos and finally have hunters fight for their right to join me.” Declared Kedro.

“Yes sir!” he bowed to Kedro as he took his place at the posts. He heard many familiar voices and he hoped they would all pass the strength test especially his little brother Jack.

“Attention, all hunters, Kedro has issued that we all split into twos and your partner will be your opponent for the competition.” Commanded Kyle as they scattered into pairs and waited for command.

“Okay now two by two you will all face off and the losers will go with Keri to get Forest. The winners will advance to the next round of competition.

The first two to face off were Jack and Keith. Jack wasn’t a bad hunter, he had helped Adam track down many of the wanted list. Keith was a very old hunter but Keith was about seven foot tall, he was six feet seven inches. The battlefield was ready for this fight to begin.

“Okay choose your weapon and step up to your position on the battlefield.” Explained Kyle.
