“Yes, I dated him.” she growled. A girl walked up behind Victor putting her arms around his waist.
“Leta, we have a guest.” he growled.
“No need I’m not staying. I need to save my friends.” she explained using her hand as a signal it was okay.
“You don’t understand do you? I’ve seen Kedro and the hunters. Anyone who goes in there, doesn’t ever come out.” explained Victor.
“Kedro doesn’t scare me nor does his fortress. My only concern is how to get in and out without being detected.” explained Daceria.
“Hmm.. Why don’t you stay with us until your plans are decide?” suggested Victor. Daceria noticed his fangs, was he a demon or worse?
“Victor what sort of demon are you guys?” asked Daceria curious to find out just what she was dealing with.
“Why, my dear we are not demons of any sort, were not human either. We are simply the living dead, vampires.” he explained. Daceria just looked at them, if she remembered correctly vampires normally had clans.
“Where is your clan?” she asked. Victor was silent and Leta spoke up.
“Victor was exiled from the clan. As for myself I loved Victor so I left the clan willingly.” she explained.
“Exiled why?” asked Daceria.
“Surely this is none of your business if you wish to stay please don’t remind me of that day.” growled Victor. Victor was stubborn, arrogant and did not see any reason for a mere half demon to know why he was exiled, as a matter of fact, not even Leta knew for he had erased her memory of that day.
“Oh, I see. You don’t have to tell me I was just curious.” shrugged Daceria.
“Why don’t you tell us more about yourself first. Like why in the name of hell did you date a human?” asked Victor now bearing his fangs and pushing Leta to his side.
“It’s a long story.” replied Daceria.
“We don’t mind, it’s not like were going to die or anything like that.” growled Victor.
“Oh, um okay. Well about five years ago when I was fifteen I met Kedro. He had told me I was beautiful that he as a human would do anything to be with me.” she explained.
“Oh, really? Kedro after a half demon that doesn’t surprise me one bit.” replied Victor now sitting comfortably on the skull of a dead demon.
“Yeah, well after about six months he wanted to show me off to the guys. I said okay thinking it was nothing serious, just his way of acting cool. I didn’t know at the time that his buddies were demon hunters. Lucky for me, once I discovered this, I escaped. I ran and put up a barrier against humans. For about a year or so I didn’t see him until the day I met Adam.” she explained.
“Oh, really who is Adam? Is he one of Kedro’s men?” asked Leta sitting beside Victory.
“Not when I met him. I fell in love with Adam and Kedro used his girlfriend Keri to turn him evil, ever since that he’s been after me and my friends. There are some days where I wish I had never met Adam.” explained Daceria starting to cry.
Daceria knew somewhere in Adam was her Adam but she could never get it back unless she defeated Kedro and to do that she needed to save her friends for she knew alone she didn’t stand a chance against Kedro and the hunters.
“Oh, please don’t cry maybe we can help you somehow.” offered Leta embracing Daceria. Daceria calmed down and thanked her for the hug. Victor was not as easy to jump the gun, to help a demon.
“Tell me more about yourself.” he growled. Daceria understood it would be hard to convince a male vampire to help her, especially when this one was exiled from his clan.
“Victor, my name is Daceria. I’m twenty years old. I am the last of my clan. My clan was murdered by Manikai and the hunters. I am the last of the silver wolves.” she explained hoping he didn’t ask for further details for she hated remembering her brother’s death.
“The last? Surely you can’t be the last, what about the great Ace? He was said to be the most powerful of all the silver wolves. Surely he is still alive.” asked Victor.
“How do you know of my father?” asked Daceria.
“There is not a person in the world who hasn’t heard of the great Ace. He was the one who battled with Manikai and won with barely any scars to show for it.” replied Victor.
“You mean my father killed Manikai?” asked Daceria.
“Yes, this is probably one of the reasons Kedro wanted to kill your clan. He didn’t want anymore Aces running around if you catch my drift.” explained Victor.
Daceria listened to him with an open mind and an open heart. Daceria read between the lines. Darkstorm had been the image of her father. A full demon with power. They only thing he didn’t have was her scroll. Why had Ace chosen her? Why hadn’t he chosen a male to carry on the legacy, at least if he had chosen a male, maybe then she wouldn’t be in such a mess of chaos. If there was one thing Daceria knew if her brother had had magic he would’ve still been alive. She sighed to herself as she started to walk towards his grave.
“Wait, Daceria we will help you. Please don’t leave yet.” replied Victory. Daceria turned to him.
“I wasn’t leaving not without saying one last goodbye to my brother.” explained Daceria.
“Daceria, I would be honored to help the daughter of the legendary Ace.” bowed Victor.
“Okay but first tell me more about yourself.” smiled Daceria.
“All right, I guess it’s only fair that you know a little about me then. My name is Victor. In human years I’m about twenty-eight, in vampire years I’m much much more.” he explained.
“Do you mind telling me why you were exiled?” asked Daceria hoping her asking would not make him too angry like last time.
Victor looked at her then to the sky. He then answered with a question.
“Do you promise not to tell a should if I do?” he replied.
“I promise.” replied Daceria.
“A long time ago when I became a vampire I joined a clan within the center of this land. Years I served under our leader but one day I left the clan with no warning and when I came back I was exiled for disrespecting the king and queen. Leta was the only one who knew the true reason why I left. She loved me to the point where she followed me here.” explained Victor.
“Why did you leave that day?” asked Daceria.
“Well, my dear. I saw the fight between your father and Manikai. At first I heard a strange noise so I left not letting any of the others know my destination. I saw him in his wolf form. His silver fur was the most beautiful thing I had seen when I realized he was the great Ace, I sat and watched. When the fight was over he came and sniffed me and returned to human form. It was then he told me I must not tell anyone he had been there, so I kept that secret until now. Now his daughter must know the truth.” explained Victor.
Daceria could not believe what she was hearing. Victor had left his clan just to watch the fight between her father and Manikai.
“What year was it?” asked Daceria.
“I don’t know being a vampire years don’t really matter. I just know after the fight Ace took off. Kedro who looked sixteen at the time came out with other hunters and took Manikai’s body away. Manikai was no ordinary demon hunter though. When he fought Ace his form was that of a fox.” explained Victor. Clearly Kedro somehow was part of this equation. Kedro was Manikai’s younger brother which only meant one thing. Kedro was also a fox in disguise. She then remembered Matthew the fox with the scroll. Had that possibly been Kedro in disguise?
“Have you two ever heard of a fox with a scroll like mine?” asked Daceria.
“No, the only foxes we know are the two within the hunters Manikai and Kedro.” they both replied.

Daceria sat down on the ground. It smelt of rot and blood. Surely there was a reason Kedro put his fortress in the middle of this wasteland. Daceria thought of what she had known so far. Kedro was after her and her scroll. Manikai had killed her clan to stop further legacies. Darkstorm had started it by attacking villages. She was the only one left and the only one who could pass on the legacy of the silver wolves. She knew somehow, someway she had to get through this.
“Daceria, if there is anything we can do let us know.” commented Victor. Daceria stood up and dusted the dirt off her pants. She looked at the two vampires. Victor was probably five foot eleven and Leta was about five foot six. Daceria hoped that Victor and Leta would not be serrated if they got involved.
“I want to help you guys as well. Once we save my friends, I’ll go to your leader and explain everything.” said Daceria.
“You don’t need to do that princess. I only wish to help you. The clan doesn’t want me back anyway.” Victor sighed.
“Well, I will at least talk to your leader. Promise me something if you guys get involved, promise Kedro will not tear you two apart as he did Adam and I.” asked Daceria.
“We promise.” they both replied. Daceria was finally ready to press on. She knew the task ahead would be difficult but with two friends by her side, she knew she’d get through it.
Meanwhile in the fortress Forest, Kallman, and Kai were all locked up in a cell. Ace went over to Forest as close as he could get.
“My dear you look familiar, have we met before?” asked Ace.
“No sir, but your daughter has told me all about you. Oh course at that point she thought you were dead.” replied Forest.
“Only dead in spirit. I just hope my timing was right. These wolfs are they friends of yours?” asked Ace.
“Kallman is my boyfriend and Kai is his brother.” blushed Forest.
“Is Kallman stronger than Darkstorm?” asked Ace.
“Um, not sure but I know Kallman is just a bit stronger than Kai. Kai didn’t disagree for he knew it was true.
“I assume you want me to kill Kedro is that correct?” asked Kallman from the wall where he was chained.
“Yes, you look stronger than my son, Darkstorm. Kedro’s not a full demon either, he is half.” explained Ace.
“Wait a second I thought Kedro was a human. You meaning to say he’s a demon disguised as a hunter?” asked Forest.
“Yes, a long time ago I killed his eldest brother Manikai who was in his fox form when I fought him.” explained Ace.
Suddenly it grew quiet, Kallman now understood why Kedro was after his lose. He was a demon and half demon at that. Kallman knew he had to save his love before Kedro decide to take her away. Kedro appeared at the top of the steps with Adam at his side.
“It’s time Ace for Hunter to die.” remarked Kedro. Kedro accompanied with five other hunters including Keri descended down the steps. Kedro folded his arms and laughed at Ace’s shocking reaction.
“Did you forget old man? I told you every hour if you don’t tell me where Daceria is, a member of your new clan shall die.” smirked Kedro as the hunters removed Hunter from the cell in handcuffs.
“So Ace last chance before the boy dies. Where is your daughter?” asked Kedro holding his sword to Hunters throat. Forest couldn’t watch this, so she hid behind Kallman in fear.
“Even if I did know I wouldn’t tell you, but truth is I don’t have a clue. I told her that I was captured and haven’t talked to her since that time. Now Kedro let Hunter go and kill your real target, kill the man who killed your brother.” declared Ace.
Kedro was now outraged and held his grip tighter.
“Any last words boy?” asked Kedro getting ready to slice through his neck.
“Yes, Adam you are Daceria’s mate and not a slave to the likes of Kedro.” Hunter declared. Seconds later Adam took away Hunter’s dead body. Kedro stayed down in the dungeon to pick his next victim Kedro pointed to Ace this time.
“After your dead, Daceria will really be the last of her kind.” smirked Kedro. Adam returned and bowed.
“I have buried him sir.” Replied Adam.
“Good job you two. Now go rest for one hour then return here.” instructed Kedro.
“Yes sir!” they both replied and zoomed off without seconds notice.
“So Ace where is your daughter?” asked Kedro looking at his bloodstained sword.
“I told you I haven’t a clue but it would make sense for her to get as far away from hunters as possible.” replied Ace.
“There is no such place.” laughed Kedro. Daceria could not escape human hunters, let alone himself.
Ace was thinking of his secret underwater cavern. It was in a rainforest land right outside the lad of the dead. The only way to get there was with either the teleport spell or cave “igreda” spell which would send her down to the entrance without her having to hold her breath. Ace wished he could have taught his daughter the secrets of the scroll but Ace knew his time was up. He had an hour left, just to see her one last time would melt his heart in two. Watching her grow not only in body but spirit was something only he could see. His daugther was capable of learning her entire scroll, it would take time though.

Daceria was now hiding behind a huge boulder with her two vampire friends.
“There is no way we can get past the guards without being detected.” whispered Leta to the others.
“It does seem difficult Daceria. What are your orders?” asked Victor. Daceria looked at him questionly, she wasn’t used to people bowing before her.
“Well I had an idea.” replied Daceria.
“What is it?”they both asked.
“A decoy. Have one of us entertain the guards while the two others sneak into the fortress. Victor you are the strongest would you be willing?” asked Daceria.
“Anything, for the daughter of Ace.” he replied. Without further notice he jumped out in front of the many guards.
“Well, well, well if it isn’t Victor that vanquished vampire of the Fang clan.” smiled Kedro stand in front of one hundred hunters.
“Call me what you wish but my skills will tell a different story.” smirked Victor drawing his dagger blade. The tip was sharp enough to kill any human by just them attacking it. The sword was legendary, it was one of the swords Ace carried. Someday he would give it to Ace’s daughter. After all only blood relatives could use the blade’s deadly effect not that Daceria would want to use it.
“Shall we dance?” he smiled daring them to come closer. Keri took the hint and sent Adam in front of her.
“My Victor wouldn’t want to kill Daceria’s mate now would we?” laughed Keri. Keri loved toying with her food.
“Hmm..lover or not I shall beat him without the use of my dagger.” replied Victor as he tossed the sword behind the boulder. The fight would now begin.
Adam stanched himself and Victor as well. Daceria and Leta quickly grabbed the sword and snuck into Kedro’s deadly fortress.
The place was filled with enormous rooms. Daceria knew it would take some figuring of where Kedro had her friends. Daceria knew they were in the dungeons but how to get there was an entirely different story. Daceria was now trying to send her another a mind message.
“I’m in the fortress, where in it I have no idea but where are you guys?
Ace received the message and delivered it to the others by whisper. “She is safe.” Ace then returned his daughter’s message.
“We are at the lowest level of the fortress. If you continue downwards, you should find us.”
Daceria understood and looked around the room she was in for a set of stairs. Nothing, lots of paintings on walls. This room appeared to be a living room for the furniture told the story. She discovered a door at the other end of the room. Her only fear was of what was behind the door. She certainly didn’t want to run into Kedro or his hunters. Her main concern was for her friends and family’s safety. Daceria wished that Forest didn’t have to be mixed up in her problems. To this day Daceria could not figure out why the hunters were after her sister.
Slowly Daceria walked to the door. She slowly turned the knob and went through the door. There ahead of her were steps at the end of the long hallway. There were doors to her left and right. She carefully walked silently to the stairs. She ran down them and just to her luck another hallway. There were more stairs at the end of this hallway but they were blocked by a statue of Manikai. Daceria knew their must be someway to move it, for Ace and the others were on the lowest level of Kedro’s fortress. Daceria looked up at the ceiling there was a message written on the ceiling.
“To all who dare intrude, you shall never figure out the secret.” signed Kedro.
“Hmm..” thought Daceria. There was some secret behind the statue. This would take some thinking. Kedro had always liked to play with people’s minds. Then it hit her only Kedro or a hunter would be able to enter. Daceria made her decision and she quickly hid behind a statue and waited for a hunter to show.
On the other hand Victor and Adam were still fighting. Leta had returned and was trying to tell Victor that Adam was Daceria’s lover.
“Leta go and help her. I can handle this!” yelled Victor as he struck Adam with his fist in the face.
Adam quickly jumped up in the air and struck him from behind. Victor fell to the ground and the hunters surrounded him.
“What should we do boss?” they asked.
“Hmm.. He is not done yet fighting me. Go and tell Kedro I have taken care of the intruders. Also tell him that Daceria is within the fortress.” he smiled helping Victor stand up.
“Fight me with all your heart and should then just maybe you’ll hit me.” Adam laughed as the others ran off. The hunters rushed through the hallways and down the stairs. Daceria watched how they forced the statue to move. They descended the stairs and swiftly and silently Daceria followed. Kedro awaited them sitting on his throne. Ace was next to him in chains on the floor.
“Report.” demanded Kedro.

“Adam has taken care of the intruders and Daceria is somewhere in the fortress.” the group explained.
“Interesting…very interesting.” smirked Kedro. Daceria was only floors away from his reach or so he thought.
Daceria was very well hidden behind a tapestry and two statues of knights in front of that.
Kedro stood up and went to Ace. Kedro got down on his knees and held a sword to Ace’s throat.
“So Ace, where is she? I know you can talk to her since she has magical abilities. Now where is she?” he asked.
“I can honestly say I don’t know. When she talked to me she didn’t know where she was.”
“Ah, even better. If she is lost the she may end up here in my grasp.” smirked Kedro.
“You don’t have any idea on how good she really is. She will find her friends and she will kill you.” explained Ace.
“Heh..I like to see her try to kill me because just like her brother she’ll end up dead.” he smirked. Ace just turned and looked away. Ace had known full well that Darkstorm couldn’t stand up to the likes of Kedro the younger brother of Manikai.
Daceria had heard the conservation from her hiding spot. Would Kedro really kill her? She started to fell uneasy but she knew she had to save her friends. Forest, Kallman, and Kai they were all in danger and she was the only one capable of doing anything to save them.
“Hunters, I want a full search of the entire fortress. Find Daceria and bring her to me!” demanded Kedro. All the hunters left the room except for Keri.
“Kedro shall I guard the door to the dungeon? No doubt that Daceria is heading for there.” smiled Keri.
“No need, I will be in the dungeon and there is no way, that she’ll get past me.” smirked Kedro.
Daceria had to think and fast. She couldn’t cross the room to the door without being seen, and she had to get there before Kedro. Daceria felt her scroll and opened it quickly. There was an invisibility spell that she had never tried. Most of her spells took a lot of energy because of the fact that she was only half demon. Would she be able to cast this spell? She muttered “Arise inja des cigte.” Daceria looked around for a mirror, there happened t obey one above Kedro’s head. Daceria glanced into it and as she did, she saw nothing. This was her only chance. She ran across the room. Just before she opened the door she realized she needed keys to open the cells. That would mean taking them from Kedro’s belt. That would be no easy task for even being invisible if she touched Kedro himself, it would all be over. Daceria took a quick breath and headed toward Kedro.
Daceria steadily hid behind Kedro’s chair. She knew the keys were on his belt. She looked to the left and the right sides of his belt They were on the left side. Daceria slowly touched them and as she did, they jingled. Kedro glance down to his belt and saw nothing, Kedro was annoyed. How was wind able to get into his fortress? Daceria silently took the keys and dashed off to the door. Kedro looked at his belt once again. His keys were gone, which meant only one thing, Daceria was in the room.
“Show yourself.” demanded Kedro. Ace was too looking around for his daughter. Now there was no way Daceria could open the door without making noise. Then it struck her if she was able to free her father than he could safely teleport them to the dungeon for he had been there before. With this thought she went over and unlocked Ace from his bindings. Ace took out his scroll and before Kedro could stop them they disappeared.
“Find them I will not rest until Ace is dead!” yelled Kedro furious. Keri rushed to the dungeon knowing what Daceria was after.
Daceria saw them Kallman, Forest, and Kai all held in the same cell. Then in the next were all Ace’s wolves. Daceria looked lied Hunter’s head. Ace put his hand on Daceria’s shoulder.
“I have been waiting for the day I could see it. The day I could see you outsmart Kedro. I knew that my daughter could do it. While we were held prisoner Kedro killed one of my wolves Hunter. Kedro was determined to make sure that he was the only mate you could choose.” explained Ace.
“Father…I…miss him.” cried Daceria. Ace understood that Darkstorm’s death had dealt her a huge blow, but Ace was just too old to bring him back to life.
“Daceria, there is only one way to bring your brother back. You must learn your scroll and you must become stronger for without both Darkstorm will remain dead. Now, my child free you friends and leave this terrible place. I shall stay behind and watch guard for you guys to escape. There is a door to the right passageway that will lead you outside. Then you must leave the land of the dead immediately for Kedro will come after you.” explained Ace.
Daceria nodded her head and unlocked the cell doors. She went and unchained Kallman and Kai. Forest embraced Daceria finally they would be out of this awful place.
Quickly they ran to the right passageway as Ace had instructed. Daceria glanced back to say goodbye and there stood the wolf of legends. Ace had transformed into his silver wolf. Daceria knew Ace was finally ready to go to the afterlife.
Daceria quickly followed her friends and when they reached the outside, they found Leta leaning over Victor crying.
“He’s badly hurt, even though he is a vampire, Adam managed to hurt him.” explained Leta, and sure enough standing not far off was Adam and some of the other hunters, Daceria growled.
‘Heh, so we meet again princess.” grinned Adam. “Come quietly and I promise I won’t hurt you.” Daceria stood in front of Victor and faced Adam head on.
“You will not touch any of us.” growled Daceria as she muttered a spell and they were gone. They reappeared in the forest at Daceria’s tree. Even the vampires were with them. Kai began tending to Victor’s wound. Kallman stood against a tree and said nothing. Forest went to her sister and embraced her.
“When will it be over?” asked Forest. Daceria looked away and back again.
“I don’t know sister. Kedro was strong, enough to defeat my brother. How in the world can I defeat him?” she asked.
“Oh, Daceria…I’m sorry about Darkstorm. He did it to save you. Your brother is at peace with himself. He wanted to end your nightmare but he simply wasn’t strong enough.” explained Forest.
Kallman had been listening and walked over to them.
“I knew he couldn’t be trusted with such a task. Kedro is not human. He’s a fox, I’d bet on it.” snarled Kallman. Daceria looked at Kallman and wondered was Kallman stronger than her brother?
“Kallman do you have any ideas how to kill Kedro?” asked Daceria.

“Simple, I will kill him, I will not let him get away from me again. His words have struck my heart like thunder and he will pay for those words.” growled Kallman.
“Listen, I know your upset but right now it’s too dangerous. I seen the look in Kedro’s eyes. If you go now you will end up just like my brother.” explained Daceria.
“Hmph.” he snorted as he walked away and went back to leaning against the tree. Daceria just watched him. Kallman had little trust and very little patience.
Kai had finished tending Victor and as he put his medical supplies away Leta came to him.
“Thank you, I really appreciate it..” she bowed to him as if he was a lord.
“It was nothing really.” he smiled. Leta stood and so did Victor.
“Where are we and how far is our home?” Victor asked confused and puzzled. He had never before seen so many many trees.
“Why your in the forest my friend and the land of the dead is quite a ways to the north.” smiled Kai pointing to the mountains in the distance.
“We cannot stay here. As vampires our life is within the land of the dead. As you may know to live we must eat blood. If we stayed here we might harm one of you or worse.” explained Victor. Leta shook her head in agreement.
“It is far too dangerous for anyone to return to that land.” growled Daceria coming over to them. “Oh and don’t worry there are plenty of animals you can hunt here. Just please give us a little time. My father can hurt Kedro pretty badly. We must stay away for now though.
“Princess Daceria, I’m very sorry for upsetting you. Please forgive me.” he bowed to her and Leta bowed as well.
“Please just Daceria.” she smiled to them.
“Okay, Daceria it is.” smiled Victor standing right in front of her. For a minute she pictured Adam in his place. His soft brown hair than blended with her dark brown hair. Then their eyes, he had the same color of eyes and they were beautiful. She loved looking into his eyes.
“Hello, anyone home?” asked Victor.
“Oh, sorry I just got caught up in a memory of the one I love.” cried Daceria. Victor saw her tears and embraced her.
“Princess I..mean Daceria I will help you, I promise.” he spoke softly as he held her close.
“I’ve heard that before. My brother died because he wanted to help me get my lover back to me.” cried Daceria. She then teleport to the mountain. Surely if Ace had survived he would be there. She searched the mountain and found the entrance. Inside she found the remaining wolves and a giant silver one on the ground bleeding. Daceria immediately went and inspected the injury.
“He’s lucky we stayed otherwise he would have been a goner.” one wolf said.
“Ace will not be beaten that easily.” remarked another wolf.
“Please don’t fight my father wouldn’t wish you to fight over whether he’s going to die or not.” explained Daceria.
“Daughter…your…safe.” muttered Ace as his breath hastened. Daceria wished she would have brought Kai with her. Daceria went to heal him and Ace growled.
“Don’t do it.” he growled.
“Why father why?” she asked.
“Because it is time for me. I have been on this earth to long. You must continue without me. You are the legacy not myself. Daceria the day you were born, I knew my fate. I knew I would die saving you. I didn’t know when or how but I knew I had to, I had to give my power to someone worthy. You were the person and you were my daughter, you will defeat him. Go back to your friends. Rest and heal your wounded heart. My daughter you have made your father proud. I will be watching over you and I will let Darkstorm know you are okay. I love you goodbye.” breathed Ace as his heartbeat stopped. The wolves gathered in a circle around him and buried him in the mountain.
“Oh father.” cried Daceria she hit her knees on the ground. “Why must I do this? Kedro is too strong.” she cried. A wolf came to her and turned into human form. It was Hunter but Kedro had killed him.
“You father used the last of his magic to revive me.” he explained. “That is the reason he lost to Kedro.”
“Go away! I don’t want to be around anyone right now!” she screamed and teleported away. Her father died to bring her “supposed mate” back to life. How selfish was he? She loved Adam not Hunter. Hunter was a nice guy but not the man she loved. She teleported to the swamp. The bugs were gone. It had been so long. She walked to Kallman’s tree house. Daceria knew they were probably worried about her, but right now she needed peace and seeing a flower within the swamp brought back a memory of her brother from long ago. They had been just kids. Daceria had been about three years old and Darkstorm had been eleven when it happened.
“Father.” playfully Daceria said as Ace flew her around in a circle.
“Isn’t this so much fun!” laughed Ace looking at his precious daughter’s green eyes.

Darkstorm came up to them once Daceria was put down. Darkstorm scooped her up in his arms.
“Hey Daceria I want to show you something pretty.” softy spoke Darkstorm kissing his sister on the cheek as they went into a field.
“Wow.” smiled Daceria. It was a field full of sunflowers.
“I knew you’d like it.” smiled Darkstorm. He put her down and allowed her to play in the field. Darkstorm sat down and watched his sister closely. He knew if anything happened to her, their father would have his head. Daceria ran up to Darkstorm and handed him a bud of a yet to blood sunflower.
“Bro.” she smiled handing it to him. Darkstorm accepted it and kissed her forehead. Daceria laughed and went behind him. She took a hold of his long black braided hair and pulled.
“Ouch. Daceria.” grumbled Darkstorm spinning around to catch her in his arms.
“You know something, you’re too cute for me to be mad at you.” smiled Darkstorm kissing her and hugging her.
Daceria came back to reality as something sniffed her. It was the plant she had been looking at. Daceria jumped back in shock.
“What is that?” she asked thinking Kallman was still around to explain this creature.
Charlie looked the girl up and down. He had been sure it was Kallman’s mate but this wolf smelt different to him.
On the other hand Victor and Leta had said their goodbyes to Kallman, Kai and Forest. Then they vanished into the darkness.
Kallman and Kai sprinted to the swamp with ease and Forest was slowly catching up to the males. From a distance Kallman saw Daceria and Charlie. Kallman bounded between them.
“Master.” mumbled Charlie. Kallman showed through body language that the girl was his friend and not to be eaten. Charlie shook his head and went back to his hiding spot. Kallman then turned to face Daceria and he didn’t look happy.
“Do you have any idea how worried we were?” asked Kallman.
“Yes, I knew you’d worry. Now that I know how to teleport I wanted to spend some time alone.” explained Daceria.
“That’s not the point. You could have been hurt, capture, or worse.” remarked Kallman. Daceria looked at the expression in Kallman’s blue eyes. Was it concern? Daceria had always thought Forest was the only one he cared about.
“I’m sorry.” cried Daceria as she embraced Kallman. “Tell me one thing how did you know I was here?”
“Very simple you and your sister have almost the same scent so I followed my nose.” he explained.
“Where are Victor and Leta?” asked Daceria.
“They went back to the land of the dead. They said for us not to follow.” explained Forest.
Daceria thought why would they do this. She had told them that she would help get Victor back into their old clan. Daceria sighed to herself and spoke.
“I’m going after them, with my teleportation getting there will be easy. Oh and one more thing please keep my sister safe while I’m gone.” braced Daceria as she disappeared without further warning.
“That girl is going to get it when she come back!” yelled Kallman frustrated.
“Kallman my sister only cares for their safety. She would not have gone back if Kedro was not after the vampires. She doesn’t want to get anyone else involved with her problems.” explained Forest. Kallman calmed himself.
“But still going by herself is a risk. If Kedro gets his hands on that magic we will be dead in no time.” remarked Kallman.

Daceria arrived at the entrance of the land of the dead. There to her right was Darkstorm’s grave with the rose left by Kedro. Without thinking Daceria started digging. She had to see him just one last time. Sure enough not even six feet down she found her brother. She thought of a spell but it was too much of a risk and what if it didn’t work. She remembered Darkstorm’s word that to this day were true. “I will kill Kedro or die trying.”
“Oh, Darkstorm I love you and I wish you were still here. I promise I will finish what you started. Somehow I will defeat him I will live up to Ace. I will continue the legacy.” she cried over his dead body. Then she heard a voice from behind her, one she knew well, Adam.
“I’m sorry.” he smiled as he knocked her unconscious. The next thing she knew she was awake and chained.
Daceria looked around her, there was nothing to see except cell bars. She was sitting on a bench with her hands and feet chained to the wall.
“Just great.” she growled. “What have I gotten myself into now?” Daceria remembered Kallman’s remark. “You could have got captured or worse.” She sighed to herself, he had been right. Daceria looked around for anything she might be able to use to escape. Then In the cell to her right was a boy, one whom she recognized. It was Adam’s younger brother Ryan. Daceria slowly got up and went to the edge of her cell and whispered his name.
“Ryan it’s me Daceria.” she spoke softly. Ryan looked up from his bench and went to greet her.
“Hey Daceria.” he mumbled.
“Ryan, how in the world did Kedro find out about you?” she asked.
“Heh, I ask myself that a hundred times a day and it always leads back to Adam.” he explained.
“One day I was walking around in the village and all of a sudden hunters surrounded me. Their leader was a beautiful girl with a flower in her hair. She came to me and said “Well, Adam nice to have you back again.” I then told her, I was not Adam that I was his brother. Then a smile formed on her lips and I was brought here.” He explained.
Daceria stood frozen, that day that Adam told her to run. The only reason he was working for Kedro was because they had his brother. Daceria felt relief in her heart, maybe just maybe if she could get to him they might be able to escape.
“Hey, Ryan how did you pick your lock?” asked Daceria knowing her claws were sharp.
“Easy just twist and turn and click your free from your bindings.” He explained showing her how he had done it. Daceria twisted and turned and click, the chains fell to the floor. She took Ryan’s hand and muttered a spell. In an instant they were gone and back to the entrance. Daceria looked over to Darkstorm’s grave to find a second rose attached with a note.
“Rest in peace my cousin.” Signed Grace. Daceria almost jumped out of her skin. That name, Grace. Grace was the only wolf to leave at fifteen to find a mate. She was supposed to be dead and here was a note proving she was alive somewhere.
“Hey.” Yelled Leta in the distance.
Daceria and Ryan followed her to a shack in the middle of a poisonous lake. There was a rope bridge in which one by one they crossed. They entered the shack to find Victor sitting in a chair looking angry as ever.
“I told you not to come back.” Remarked Victor.
“And I told you I would help reunite you into your clan.” She explained.
“I don’t need them and they don’t need me.” Responded Victor in a rage.
“Victor you were banned because you left the clan without permissions and the only reason you left was to see my father fight. “she replied.
“What about your friends are they safe?” asked Leta concerned.
“Yes, there in the swamp awaiting my return.” Smiled Daceria.
“All right.” Groaned Victor. “The leader name is Bradley. He is the strongest of our clan. Find him and see what you can do. Bradley is a stubborn one, he’ll be hard to convince.” Explained Victor. Victor watched her leave with Leta. Victor hoped he could rejoin his clan. Victor thought of his mother was she still sick? Victor sighed to himself and hoped Daceria would come through for him.
“This is it, the entrance to our clan.” Leta said pointing to two fangs, joining each other at their tips.
“You really live in here?” asked Daceria noticing the pate was made of bones from animals.
“Yeah, I know. Our leader is still working with the clan on making our entrance more lively.” She giggled. Daceria followed Leta into the vampires hideout. Not far ahead Daceria saw a gigantic group of vampires gathered around a stone. On top of the stone was a vampire. The vampire just glared at the intruders.
“Who are you?” asked Bradley from the stone.

“My name is Daceria, I’m the daughter of Ace.” Calmly spoke Daceria.
“My name is Bradley, I am the son of our previous leader Oscar. What is your reason for intruding on my territory?” he asked.
“Victor.” She smiled.
“What about him? He left the clan and I banned him for it.”
“The only reason he left was to investigate a noise which was my father Ace fighting Manikai.” Explained Daceria.
“Whatever his reasoning he knew the rules of our clan. If you leave without warning, you will be banned.” Explained Bradley.
“Listen, Victor missed his clan and so does Leta. What do I have to do to convince you to let them back in?” asked Daceria. Bradley looked at her and saw the scroll within her belt.
“If you truly are Ace’s daughter show me proof.” Demanded Bradley pointing to her scroll.
“Fine.” She said. She muttered the teleportation spell and in an instant she was right beside him now.
“Ah, teleportation. Any demon can do that.” He laughed. “Try again.”
Daceria knew she didn’t know her scroll all that well. Most of the spells she had never tried .There was a few she knew but would any of them be enough? Daceria thought about the love of wolves spell but there was no one that needed healing. Suddenly he spoke.
“What about the barrier spell. It allows the user to put up a barrier between themselves and their enemies.” Suggested Bradley.
Daceria just looked at him. She could not tell him that she didn’t know that spell.
“Well...” spoke Bradley as he tapped his finger to his wrist. “Time is wasting.”
Daceria took a deep breath as she took out her scroll and braced herself. If she could perform it, it would be a key element to defeating Kedro. “Protect me barrier of light.” Suddenly a circle of light surrounded her and Leta. Bradley smiled and looked at them.
“At last my vampire kin we have found the one they spoke of .The one silver wolf who could perform magic, Ace’s daughter.” Announced Bradley.
“Sir I have shown you my magic. Now will you let Victor rejoin your clan?” asked Daceria.
“Sure, but first Princess Daceria you must agree to put a barrier up to protect vampires. You see I hate intruders and with this barrier I wouldn’t have to worry.” Smiled Bradley.
“An everlasting barrier? I don’t think I’m capable of that amount of power yet.” Replied Daceria.
“Hmm...” replied Bradley. “No everlasting barrier no returning to the clan.”
“Sir please I haven’t had anyone to teach me. My father alone with the rest of my family were murdered by the hunters.”
“Is that so that explains it.” Smiled Bradley. “Fine Victor and Leta are welcome here again. Oh and one more thing if you should ever need our assistance call us with this whistle.” Explained Bradley handing it to her.
“Thank you.” She bowed to him and sued her scroll to teleport Ryan and herself back to the swamp. She appeared in Kallman’s tree house. Kallman was sitting next to Forest on the couch and Kai was sitting in a wooden chair.
“About time you got back.” Growled Kallman.
“Hey Daceria who’s that?” asked Kai noticing the human next to her.
“It’s not Adam, it’s his younger brother Ryan.” She replied.
“Wait, then did the hunters use him to make Adam work for them?”asked Forest.
“Yes, they did I do believe if Ryan talks to his brother Adam might return to our side.” Smiled Daceria.
“Surely there is more to it. Adam would never hurt you in his right state of mind.” Replied Forest.
“I know but we have the lipstick so how could they turn him evil?” asked Daceria.
“Simple a potion.” Replied Kai.
“A potion how can you be sure?” asked Daceria.
“I’m a healer so I can sense certain things and I sensed the smell of potions in their hideout.” Replied Kai.
“Who’s making them?” asked Forest.
“That I do not know but if there is a mage there, Kedro will be even harder to beat.” Replied Kai.
Daceria thought to herself who could it be? It could be any number of Kedro’s men. Even Kedro himself could be making them. If it was Kedro then why would he still want her magic? It had to be someone else but who?
“It’s Keri.” Smiled Kallman.
“How do you know?” asked Daceria.
“Simple, why else would she be the only girl hunter. Why is she second in command to Kedro?” asked Kallman.
“I see her powers are the reason Kedro let her join.” Smiled Forest.
“It’s so hard to believe though. Keri is a mage? Why would a fox demon be working with a sorceress?” asked Daceria.
“There’s only one way to find out.” Replied Kallman.
“How?” asked Forest.
“We must talk to the devil herself.” He smirked.
“Keri knows us all too well and how would we lure her away from Kedro?” asked Daceria.
“This is true but I have an idea.” Smiled Kallman.
“Okay, what is your brilliant plan?” asked Kai.
“Well, first we have to wait for the right time. Kedro will send more hunters after us. Keri will be with them for sure. Then all we have to do is get her by herself.” Explained Kallman.
Daceria looked at him. Kallman was a very non-social person and yet he was willing to talk to all of them about Kedro and Keri. Daceria though about this and it made her remember Darkstorm. Now that she thought of it, Kallman and Darkstorm weren’t that different. Quiet, protective, loving, and caring.

Kallman looked to her and smiled. Daceria wasn’t used to it, so she just smiled back.
“Daceria, you are our bait.” He smiled. Then Kallman explained how Daceria would be the only one available to distract Keri into following her. Okay now they had their plan.
Kedro was frustrated beyond all belief. How had his plan failed. Kedro marched up to Adam’s room and stormed into his room.
“I’m going to kill you!” he growled Adam looked up at him.
“I’m sorry I will do better next time.” Replied Adam.
“Next time? How many next times will it take? I’m sick of waiting! I’m hurt because of that stupid wolf Ace!” Kedro then picked up Adam by his throat. “Fail me one more time boy and it will be your last breath.” Growled Kedro.
Kedro then dropped Adam onto his bed and slammed the door behind him. Kedro then went into Keri’s room. Keri was getting dressed into her hunter’s uniform.

“Keri, you have failed me.” Grunted Kedro as he pulled her to his chest. Keri with just a bra and a skirt on wasn’t sure of his intentions.
“Listen, Kedro Adam is still on our side. The girl will keep trying to turn him back to normal. Once she gets close enough I can cast a spell that will stop her magic.” Replied Keri.
“That’s not an excuse.” Grunted Kedro taking his hand and brushing Keri’s bangs back and kissed her. He pulled back first and looked her straight in the eyes.
“Keri, I really like you. When we first met your job was just to help me. Now your job is to be my wife.”
“What about Daceria?” asked Keri.
“The only reason I want her is for her magic and there’s only one way to get it, if you’re not of bloodline.” He explained.
“And what would that be?” asked Keri crossing her arms across her chest.
“Sex.” He grinned. Keri stepped back in shock.
“That’s why you don’t want to kill her, like you did the rest of the clan.” Explained Keri just now starting to understand Kedro’s plan.
“Exactly and I’m starting t get very frustrated with all this capturing her and her escaping. If we stop her magic and stop her friends we might be able to finish this.”
“Why might?” asked Keri.
“I am concerned about the other male wolf. His name I believe is Kallman.” He confessed.
“Yes, that’s his name and why does he concern you?” asked Keri now putting a shirt on.
“He seems like a warrior who will not fall no many how many times you try to kill him. If we kill him I’d guarantee we could capture Daceria and Forest with no problems.”
“Why do you want Forest anyway? She’s not a silver wolf and she can’t cast spells.” Questioned Keri.
“Your wrong. I did some intense research about her and found her mother’s name.”
“What was it?” asked Keri. This conservation with her boss and finance was very interesting indeed.
“Her mother’s name was Grace.” Smirked Kedro. Kedro had been told by his brother Manikai of one silver wolf that left the clan to find a mate at the age of fifteen. Supposedly she had been raped and killed but the truth was she escaped with her life. Manikai had raped her hoping for the ability to cast spells but he had the wrong wolf.
“Are you serious?” she asked remembering the name as clear as day.
“Yes, madam. Forest is indeed within Daceria’s bloodline. Forest and Daceria don’t know it but in truth they are sisters.” Laughed Kedro.
“She still can’t cast spells though so why?” asked Keri.
“I do believe Forest could cast if she was taught. I sense talent in her. Unlike Daceria Forest in not sure of what good she is. I believe if I sleep with both of them that my powers will have no limits.” Laughed Kedro.
“Hmm...I never even noticed but now that I think of it Forest looks a lot like Daceria.” Smiled Keri.
“Well Forest likes the wolf Kallman. I’ve been researching him as well. All that I found was that he is the second son to a male wolf named Erik and mother’s name Nephnee.”
“Hmm...I’ve never heard of either and he has a younger brother named Kai.”
“That’s not all, supposedly he had a sister born to a different mother.” Replied Kedro.
“Do you know her name?” asked Keri.
“No I don’t know but I have a way to find out. Bring me Kai. He will be easier to catch then Kallman. Let’s see what he knows.” Laughed Kedro.
With that Keri grabbed her sword and rushed out the door. She made her way to the entrance for the swamp.
Kallman and the others were gathered at the entrance of the swamp awaiting for the hunters to arrive.
“Are you sure she’ll come alone?” asked Daceria.
“Kedro is too weak and he is afraid to lose more men. Keri will come by herself and when she does we’ll be ready.” Explained Kallman.
“Okay so Forest and myself will be able to go back to the tree house?” asked Daceria.
“No, I want you two here. I’m not taking my eyes off you two. You two are too important for me to let my guard down and have you get captured.” Explained Kallman looking back at Daceria with a serious expression on his face.
From far off Keri saw moment from the swamp. As she expected they knew she was on her way. Keri knew her mission capture and bring Kai to Kedro. Keri muttered a spell and turned into a mouse. She crept under Forest’ legs, bit her ankle and disappeared.
“Ouch, what bit me?” asked Forest.
“Sit down on the tree stump.” Instructed Kallman. Forest sat down and Kallman looked at Forest’ ankle where the bite mark was. The mark was small had to be an animal but there were no animals in the swamp by the time Kallman realized this Keri had taken Forest’s form.
Kallman and Forest were near his tree house while Daceria and Kai were still at the entrance. Keri now in Forest’s body spoke quickly.
“Hey guys, Kallman is getting me medicine for my bite.” She smiled.
“Forest I could have healed it.” Spoke Daceria.
“There’s no need to waster your magic on a small bite like this.” She smiled. Daceria looked at Forest, this was not like her at all.
“Who are you?” asked Daceria. Keri shuttered had Daceria seen through her spell.
“It’s me sister really.” She muttered. Daceria looked her straight in the eyes. Then Daceria went to get Kallman. Perfect. Keri thought now Kai was alone.
“Um...Forest.” blushed Kai. Keri punched him in the gut knocking him unconscious. Keri then took his hand and muttered a spell and they were gone. Keri arrived in the main room where Kedro was waiting.
“Welcome back Keri. I see your mission was a success.” Smiled Kedro. Kedro knew the one person he could rely on was Keri. Keri was young beautiful and deadly. Kedro couldn’t have asked for a better suit. Keri gave Kai to Kedro. Kedro then had the guards tie him in the chair beside him. When Kai awoke he would be in for a surprise.
On the other hand Kallman, Forest, and Daceria had figured it out. It was an imposter who had looked just like Forest but wasn’t. Kallman had realized it the quickest.
“It was Keri but why would she take Kai and not Daceria?” Kallman asked them.
They stood together thinking and then it hit Kallman.
“They want to know about all of us. They couldn’t get info on KAI and myself so they decided to kidnap Kai.”
“Why would they want that?” asked Forest.
“So they can get you two without any trouble. If they discovered say that I would protect Kai before you, they would use that against me.” Replied Kallman.
“Guys we need to save Kai before they turn him evil again like before.” Spoke Daceria.
“How are we going to do that? Kedro and his hunters are waiting for us to jump up and fall into their trap. If they only want information Kai will not be hurt.”
“So then what’s the plan?” asked Daceria.
“You go home and rest. Forest and I will stay here.” Replied Kallman.
Daceria walked home after saying goodbye to Forest and Kallman. As she walked through the trees thought of Darkstorm’s grave came to her mind. The rose left by Grace was it the Grace that Darkstorm had mentioned and if it was where was she. She could be a pure silver wolf like her father.
Kallman looked at Forest with deep concern in his eyes. How long would this battle continue how long would Forest have to suffer of Kedro and his hunters? Kallman knew that now was the perfect time. He had a ring he had gotten from Adam a long time ago he got on one knee in front of Forest.
“Will you marry me?” asked Kallman. Forest blushed and almost fainted of shock. She looked at him and to the ring. She loved Kallman with all her heart and now in the heat of everything around them, Kallman wanted to marry her.
“Yes, Kallman.” Smiled Forest embracing and kissing him.
Daceria finally made it to her tree and went inside. There was no one in sight and the house looked like it hadn’t been lived in. Daceria sat down on the couch and began to think of her brother. His last words to her were “I’ll protect you with my life.” And he had done just that. Daceria and Darkstorm could have escaped with teleportation but Darkstorm wanted so badly to kill the hunters and end her nightmares. Even though he had been evil in the past, he had done everything in his power to protect her and to her that made up for the bad. Rest in peace big brother.
