“Forest, if I’m going to marry you I need to know your family history.” Spoke Kallman.

Forest looked at him confused the only family she had
was Daceria and Kallman knew her.

“You know about my sister and I . What else is there to know?” asked Forest with sparkling curiosity in her eyes.

“You have to have more family like a father and mother maybe a sister or brother.” Replied Kallman getting tense.

“I don’t know what to tell you, I don’t remember. I was just a baby when Daceria found me in my tree.

Kallman was stunned that Forest knew nothing of her family. Forest was always lovely to him but he had to know her family. He was sure that once they wed she would rise to him and fall to herself in a wall of scattering emotions between two souls aching for the other.

“Hello Kallman anyone home?” asked Forest lightly knocking him on the head.

“Sorry Forest I was thinking about what you said and to be honest I have to know if you have family. Do you know if any of your clan might still be alive?”

“No, they’re all dead. I’m certain of that but Daceria could probably tell you more then I could I was only a baby at the time.” Spoke Forest her eyes gleaming tempting Kallman but he resisted the urge to journey into those lovely dangerous eyes.

“Daceria was so lucky to have Darkstorm around.” Said Forest.

“Yeah he was a great fighter someone I’ll never forget but he’s gone and Daceria’s all alone. I mean she won’t even talk to us much anymore since his death.” Replied Kallman.

“She probably feels guilty because Darkstorm died to save her.” Spoke Forest. “I mean how would you feel if Kai sacrificed his life for yours?”

“I don’t know I would feel horrible and wouldn’t know what to do with myself.” He explained.

“That’s probably how she feels. We should go see her and tell her she’s still got us by her side. ‘Forest volunteered.

“No leave her alone that’s the best medicine we can provide. Right now she needs space and you and I are going to journey back to the place you were born.”

“I don’t know where I was born, so how are we going to travel to a palce we don’t even know?” she asked.

“You mentioned that you don’t have a family well I have an older sister that just might know about you.” Replied Kallman.

“So you have more than just Kai?” asked Forest stunned and shocked.

“Hmm...it’s been a long time since I talked to her. I’ll be lucky if she remembers me, let alone reveals her personal information to us. It’s funny she always made a joke that the best I could do for a mate was a half breed and I’m marrying you.” Smiled Kallman.

“Ha, ha funny. I’m going to tell her a thing or two about us half demons like the fact that were not all that bad those of us like my sister are stronger than full demons.”

“I’ve noticed your sister is strong for a reason. She stands strong alone..” smirked Kallman.

“Now go get ready and take plenty of outer layers of clothes it’s freezing cold where were going. My sister is a half blooded snow wolf.” Forest looked at him confused.

“You’re not a snow wolf, so how are you two related?” she implied.

“Hmph, I was wondering when you would ask. Well when I was young I also lost my original parents. Aurora and I are in the same clan. She gets her snow origin from her mother. Then Kai and I had a different mother. Two years after the mountain was loaded with explosions and Aurora ran off. I was in shock being only eleven and Kai eight. I decided to take Kai first. H had two younger sisters who I believe are dead now. Iris and Silver. Kai and myself were badly scarred but we both managed to escape. Like your sister raised you I raised Kai and like yourself he ran off when he was fifteen years of age to find love.” Explained Kallman.

Forest was stunned Kallman had never before had told her about his family history Forest didn’t’ know what to say so she just pulled him close and kissed him on the lips. Kallman pulled away first and looked at Forest straight in the eyes.

“I told you my history now it’s time I learned yours.” Said Kallman walking back to their room to start packing for the long journey.

Meanwhile Daceria was in on her couch inside of her house. She refused to move let alone get up. Darkstorm was dead because of her. Even with Kedro after her and her sister. Kedro had lurched back into hiding and she hadn’t seen him much since the death of her brother. She hadn’t even thought much about Adam anymore. Adam was evil and not even all her efforts would take him away from Kedro’s grasp. Then there was Keri, the one who turned Adam evil to begin with. She was even more evil then Kedro himself. She was sure of that. She should have known better than to trust a human. At the very least Forest was happy with her finance Kallman. Daceria had an invitation and was supposed to be Forest’s maid of honor. She honestly didn’t know if she had the strength or the heart to attend.

Far away past the land of the dead, pass the overgrown moss, and finally across a huge waterfall. The new hideout of the hunters was. Kedro was inside on his bed. Keri was taking care of him.

Kedro was a complete mess. He still hadn’t healed from Darkstorm’s last and final attack. Sure the hunters had overpowered him and killed him but Darkstorm had done enough damage to himself that he was dying. It didn’t matter anymore if he had Daceria as his. Right now he needed to focus on recovery or death maybe his fate. He never realized Darkstorm was such a threat but now with him gone, Daceria would be easy pickings. Kedro was glad he assigned Keri in charge of his care. He didn’t trust any of the guy hunters. He knew after their last fight that they wanted a new leader.

Meanwhile back at the swamp Kallman and Forest were all bundled up especially Forest. Being that she was only half demon the weather would be harsher on her.

“How far away in the mountains does your sister live?” asked Forest.

“At the top of Mount Everest.” He smirked.

“Seriously where in the mountains does she live?” asked Forest crossing her arms frustrated.

“Sorry, I couldn’t resist a good laugh.” Smiled Kallman. Forest looked at him. Kallman had changed dramatically from the time they met until now. She remembered how when they met Kallman was the silent one and never smiled. Forest looked at Kallman and he never looked better. The ring placed upon her third finger was a sign of their engagement. Forest had never been happier, their dreams were starting to become a reality.

“Forest, it’s time to leave.” Called Kallman who was starting to walk out of the swamp.

Forest ran and caught up with Kallman and took his hand in hers, as they walked into the forest. The journey would be long, maybe dangerous but Kallman was desperate to discover Forest’s family history. The forest was covered with trees and long overgrown grass. It was hard to find which way was right or left. Kallman and Forest held hands as they continued to make their way through the forest towards the snow mountains.

“We’ll take a break at nightfall. Is that okay with you Forest?” asked Kallman.

“Um, isn’t tonight a new moon?” she asked.

“Yeah, why is there something I should know about the new moon?” asked Kallman.

“I turn human on this night.” She explained hoping Kallman would not be angry with the delay of their journey to find Aurora.

“Oh, well let’s get to the waterfall past the land of the dead before nightfall.” Informed Kallman as he kept a steady pace as they entered the land of the dead. Forest barely remembered the place but she knew Daceria had ran into two vampires that were exiled from their clan. Their names were Victor and Leta. Victor was exiled for disregarding clan rules. Forest couldn’t remember Leta’s reason for leaving. Daceria had gotten caught up in trying to solve unsolvable problems. Forest knew it was her nature. She wanted to fix what could not be mended. Forest knew nightfall was vastly approaching and they needed to get to safety of the waterfall.

“Kallman what if we don’t make it in time?” asked Forest stepping over people’s graves and some bones here and there.

“Nonsense were almost there.” He said as he saw the falls ahead of them. Kallman rushed them over as fast as their feet would carry them. They finally managed to get behind the falls where there was an open cave. Kallman and Forest entered the cave to wait till morning sunrise. The moon appeared and Forest lost her demonic traits as she became but a human. This was the first time she had told someone besides Daceria about her secret.

Kallman didn’t understand what Forest was going through but he loved her, he would help her make it to sunrise. Kallman pulled Forest to him, and held her close to him and held her tight against his chest.

“Forest, have I ever told you just how much you mean to me?” asked Kallman his chin on Forest’s head.

“Yes you have.” Replied Forest snuggling against Kallman.

“I love you. You have made me realize the importance of people. I strayed off to the swamp because of rejection of a lover. I don’t know what I would do without you. Forest you’ll never realize the pain until you feel it, but you have cured a broken heart.” He explained kissing her on the forehead. Forest tilted her head back towards Kallman and kissed him.

“Your sister is she nice?” asked Forest wanting to know more about Aurora before they met her the next day.

“It depends on her mood. She can be a sweetheart and she can be downright nasty.” Smirked Kallman.

“So what do you think her mood will be when she knows your marrying a half demon?” asked Forest curious.

“Her mood won’t matter she’ll be too busy telling me she was right.” Smiled Kallman as the sun began to rise in the morning sky. Forest’s demonic traits returned to her.

“Time to go my love.” Smiled Kallman standing up to stretch then holding out his hand for Forest to grab. Forest took it and hopped up to two feet. They could see the snow falling in the distance and they knew they were close to where Aurora was.

“How long till we get there?” asked Forest.

“Not much longer I’d say about five minutes and we’ll be climbing the mountain. Are you still warm?” he asked.

“Yeah, as long as I’m with you, I’m fine thanks.” Replied Forest grasping Kallman’s hand tight in hers.

Kallman nodded and they continued on. They didn’t see the hunters hideout within the mist of the snowstorm. Kallman saw the mountain and he could see his sister at the top looking down at him. Kallman looked to Forest as they kept climbing. Finally they were at the top where Aurora was waiting.

“Guards seize the boy abut let the girl go.” Commanded Aurora. Kallman did not hesitate he went straight to Aurora and got on his knees.

“Sister I refused to fight you. Take me prisoner if you must.” The alpha male named Travis came and chained Kallman as commanded. Kallman looked to Forest.

“Get out of here before she changes her mind.”

Forest did as she was told and ran for the hills. She ran and ran until she was stopped by a house. The house appeared to be empty. Then Forest thought who would have been crazy enough to live in the snow mountains? Forest entered the house and sat down in a chair. The house was empty except for a table and four chairs. Whoever lived there didn’t want anyone knowing they lived there. Forest noticed something on the table a letter from Darkstorm to Grace. Forest began to read.

Dear Grace,
As you have requested I have hid your daughter in the mountain cave. No one is likely to find her or blame you for leaving the clan. I must say myself she looked a lot like my youngest sister Daceria. It’s too bad, they’ll never meet seeing as by morning the baby will die of hunger.”

Sincerely yours,

Darkstorm.

Forest could not stop her tears. He mother had abandoned her and had wanted her to die but why? Forest remembered nothing about Grace but was sure that was who had lived here and maybe still was. Forest placed the letter back on the table. Suddenly a young wolf marched in the door and saw her.

“Who are you and why are you in my house?” asked Kuriame.

“My name is Forest and I got lost within the mountains and ended up here.” She answered.

“Wait, you look like me are we related?” asked Kuriame.

“I don’t think so. Can I ask you a question?” asked Forest.

“Sure, shoot.” Smiled Kuriame.

“Who is Grace and is she related to Darkstorm in any way?” asked Forest.

“Well um, that’s a big question to ask someone you just met? I will try to answer it the best I can. Grace is my mother. I don’t know of a Darkstorm but I know Grace was from Ace’s clam originally but was kidnapped and raped by a fox demon named Manikai.” Explained Kuriame now pulling up a chair next to Forest and sitting beside her. He brushed her bangs out of her face and looked her straight in the eyes.

“Are you sure were not related? Your eyes are just like mine and your hair.” Muttered Kuriame.

“I’m an orphan I have no family.” Explained Forest. Kuriame studied her face and then reached into his pocket and took a picture out. He looked at the picture and then at Forest.

“You look just like Grace. We have to be related. What’s this?” asked Kuriame seeing the letter on the table. Kuriame read the letter and threw it on the table.

“What in the world is going on? How come she never told me!” screamed Kuriame.

“Sorry about that, I get really angry when I don’t know important things like this. I can’t believe I had a big sister that was abandoned and starved to death.” Shouted Kuriame.

On the other hand Kallman was sitting on a bed his wrist chained behind him and his feet chained together. Aurora walked in and stood in front of him.

“Why are you here?” asked Aurora.

“I was here to introduce you to my mate but you ruined that.” Glared Kallman.

“You mean to tell me I was right? Your marrying a half demon?” smiled Aurora starting to laugh.

“Yes, and her name is Forest. She is beautiful and I would not trade her for a full demon.” Explained Kallman.

“Oh, I see still you know my rules. I told you not to come back.” She explained now sitting across from him in a chair.

“Your smiling why would you be smiling when your sister has you chained up?” she asked.

“Aurora even though you hate me I don’t hate you and I know if we just talked about it, we could be sister and brother once again.” Replied Kallman.

“You think so?” asked Aurora. “If you manage to get me to call you brother I’ll let you off the hook.” She grinned. There was no way she would call Kallman brother.

“Okay our father was kind and gentle but our father told Kai and I at a young age that we had a sister in the west. I grew up just waiting for the day I’d meet my big sister. I t wasn’t long after my original mate broke my heart that I started to go to the village for swords. One night on my way home I was followed and our clan’s hideout was set ablaze. I barely escaped with Kai by my side. I knew it was my fault and since then I have bound myself to the swamp.” Explained Kallman.

“Yeah, that’s one of the many reasons that I don’t consider you a brother. I mean Kallman I know you saved Kai and I do appreciate it but still you’re the reason my father died.” Wept Aurora starting to cry.

“Sister I’m sorry I truly am. I did not realize at the time that hunters were watching my every move I thought we were safe.” He explained. Aurora looked at him and then at the chains.

“It’s been ten years and I still haven’t gotten over my father’s death and now I realize it doesn’t pay to be mad at you.”

“It doesn’t pay what’s that supposed to mean?” asked Kallman.

“I realized it wasn’t completely your fault. Others before you had gone out of the mountains as well. Kallman I know I was in the wrong doing this to you and I’m sorry.” Explained Aurora.

Kallman looked at her and saw the sister he had missed so much. Kallman knew Aurora had grieved at the loss of the clan but now he saw just how much she grieved. Kallman would have held her if she hadn’t chained his hands behind his back.

“Aurora I never meant for the hunters to destroy our clan. I didn’t even know that they had followed me. Then the next day the mountain exploded. Luckily Kai and myself made it out alive.” He explained.

“Still they followed you no one before you got caught by the demon hunters. Sometimes I think you wanted the clan to die but I know that’s not true.” Replied Aurora. Aurora took the keys out of her pocket and unchained his feet.

“Come with me I want to show you something.” Smiled Aurora leading him out of the room and into the hallway. Kallman followed his sister down the long hallway. They kept walking and went down a flight of stairs. There in the room were tombstones with names of all the clan members that had died.

“It took me years to build this.” Sighed Aurora.

“It’s amazing but yet it strikes my heart like an iron fist.” Replied Kallman.

“Kai is he still with you?” asked Aurora curious.

“Yes, Kai is still alive but where I don’t know.” He smiled not wanting his sister to know what really happened to Kai.

“He is not with you anymore?” asked Aurora.

“No he left the swamp at fifteen to find a mate.” Replied Kallman.

“Your mate you said her name is Forest correct?”

“Yes, she is beautiful and I’m going to marry her. I’m also going to introduce you to her if you ever unchain me.” He grunted.

“You always complain about everything. Kai is quiet and so cute if we weren’t family I would have dated him.

“Kai is very depressed because he hasn’t found his mate yet.” Replied Kallman.

“Really? He hasn’t found anyone at all?” she asked.

“Nope and he has disappeared and I haven’t seen him since. Kai is a good guy and I’m sure he’ll find the one for him and I will do anything I can to help him. Listen Aurora the demon hunters are back.

“What? You better not have lead them here to me.” Growled Aurora.

“Their not after us this time.” He started to explain.

“Then who are they after and how did you find out?” asked Aurora.

“First out there after Forest and a girl named Daceria. Second I found out because I love Forest and don’t want the hunters to have her.”

“That name Daceria who is she to you?”

“She is Forest’s sister. She is also the last of her kind. Daceria found Forest in a cave when she was just a baby.”

“So technically they’re not related correct?” asked Aurora.

“Yes technically but to them they are sisters and would do anything to help the other.”

“Ah, I see like we used to be before you led the hunters here.”

“Aurora I would sacrifice myself to save you, because you are still my sister and I still love you.

“Your free to go.” She took her keys and removed his bonds. When he was free he embraced his long lost sister. Finally they could be a family again.

“Kallman brother I’m sorry. I’ve held this grudge against you for the longest time, and now hearing you call me sister. It breaks my heart to know I had you chained. Please forgive me.” She cried in his arms.

“Sister don’t be sorry. Your forgiven already. I knew what to expect when I came back. I knew you would hold that grudge. I always hold a grudge just not against you. A man a hunter who said he would take Forest away from me. I hold a grudge against that man and he happens to be the leader of the demon hunters.” He growled.

“What is his name?” asked Aurora pulling away first from their embrace.

“Every time I hear his name my muscles get tense and I begin to get angry.”

“It’s all right to let your anger show I just what his name.”

“His name is Kedro and he is not just a human. He is a half demon fox in disguise as a hunter.

“How is that possible?” asked Aurora.

“His main target Daceria he used to date her and when she refused him in bed he didn’t give up. He wants her for her magic and not for her.”

“This Daceria just who is she anyway and why is she so important to him?”

“Daceria is the daughter of the king of wolves Ace. Ace killed Kedro’s older brother in a fight to the death. Now Kedro’s goal is to lay with her, steal her magic and possibly kill her afterwards.”

“That’s awful and then let me guess he will do the same thing to Forest?

“Yes, he told me once when he had captured me but I escaped with my life.” Explained Kallman.

“He captured you why?” asked Aurora.

“Because I was in his way of getting to Forest so he wanted me dead. He tried to kill me in the middle of the ocean. Luckily Forest and Kai found me in the nick of time.”

“Amazing I want to meet this Forest of yours. She sounds like an amazing mate for a half breed.”

“Well then let’s get out of this room and head in the direction of her scent.”

Kallman and Aurora together left the room, walked through the hallway and out into the snow. It was finally time to introduce Forest to Aurora.

On the other hand Kuriame and Forest were still trying to figure out if they were related.

“By the way my name is Kuriame.” He bowed to her as a sign of respect.

“That name I’ve never heard it before.”

Just then Grace stormed through the door with snow all over her and many bags in her hand.

“Kuriame help your mother put this food away!” she yelled to him not even seeing Forest yet.

Kuriame sprang up and dashed to assist his mother. They carefully put the bags down on the table and emptied them one by one. When they finished Kuriame put the bags in the closet. Kuriame sat down at the table next to Forest. Grace looked at him and then at Forest.

“Who are you?” she asked.

“I’m Forest, and I think your my mother.” She explained.

“That’s impossible. Kuriame was my only child.” Questioned Grace.

“Then why did Darkstorm send you this letter?” asked Forest.

“That baby was a result of rape and therefore I had to kill it.”

“You didn’t kill it though did you?” asked Kuriame.

“I don’t know. The baby was supposed to have starved to death. Do you even know who the father was?” asked Grace.

“No, but you can tell us everything right from the beginning.” Demanded Kuriame. He kept looking at Forest, they had to be related with such strong resemblance.

“Fine, I will tell you all about it. I left Ace’s clan at fifteen to find a mate. Instead I found the demon hunters. They thought I was the one of the legends. They captured m and took me to their leader Manikai.”

“Manikai that’s Kedro’s older brother. I thought Ace killed him?” asked Forest.

“Yes but that was after Ace found out I was raped and killed.”

“I was raped but Manikai didn’t kill me. He tortured me every day he had sex with me trying to gain the magic of the our clan. I tried to tell him I wasn’t the one but he refused to believe me. Then he noticed my stomach and threw me out into the cold. He told me to carry the baby and show it to Ace at birth. I let Ace think I was dead so I could birth the baby then I decided to kill it to help the clan. It was a girl and I put had Darkstorm put her in a cave thinking no one would find her in time. If you are her you are part fox and part wolf.”

“Manikai was a half demon?” asked Forest.

“Yes, he could cast magic but he only knew certain spells where Ace could use any spell at any time.” Explained Grace.

“If all this is ture and I’m your daughter that means Daceria and I are really related by blood line.” Happily exclaimed Forest.

“Who is Daceria?” Kuriame and Grace both asked.

“She is the one who found me in the cave when I was just a baby. She raised me and I’ve always considered her my sister but here she’s really my cousin.”

“Oh is that all?” asked Grace.

“She is related to you through Ace and Darkstorm. She is also the one with the magic of the clan.” Explained Forest.

“Interesting...” she mumbled.

“Grace you are my mother and I want to know why? You could have said I was born of a half fox human and a wolf. Why did you try to kill me?

“Forest, Manikai was evil and I didn’t want my kid to suffer with him as a father and I knew I couldn’t be a mother to a child of his seed.” She explained.

Forest started crying and ran out into the snow. She was related to Kedro’s older brother and because of that her mother wanted nothing to do with her. Kuriame rushed out after her and captured her into his arms. He turned her to him.

“Just because she doesn’t’ love you doesn’t mean I don’t. I was so happy to find you were my sister. I will love you and keep your bloodline a secret from the hunters.” He explained.

Forest looked up at him trying to dry her tears.

“All these years that I thought I was alone you were here. Kuriame please come to the forest and let me have my brother.” She cried.

“Oh course I will be happy to follow you Forest. I am tired of the same old, same old. Now how do we get there from here?” he asked smiling.

Just then Aurora and Kallman appeared in front of them. Kallman immediately took Forest into his arms and held her tight.

“Forest, I’m so glad we found you.” Smiled Kallman. Kallman let her go and promptly introduced Forest to Aurora. Then Forest introduced her brother Kuriame to the both of them.
PostPosted: Sun Jun 27, 2010 8:11 am

“Now that were all together let’s go back to Aurora’s. I sense the hunters are near and I’m not in the mood to deal with Kedro and especially not Keri.” Grunted Kallman remembering how she had kidnapped Kai from right under his nose. Kallman clenched his fists and sword to himself that he would get his brother back and he would have his revenge on Keri and Kedro. Kallman as he thought of this kept getting more angry and if it had not been for the touch of Forest’s hand to his, he would have transformed into his full demon.

Aurora on the other hand was now a beautiful white snow wolf. She nudged Kallman by the legs letting him know to follow her Aurora quickly lead them to the safety of her home within the mountain. Travis her mate was there in wolf form to greet her.

Once inside Aurora and the rest of them sat at a table with five chairs. One for each of them. Forest made sure to sit in between Kallman and Kuriame. Kallman who was beside Aurora. Aurora was next to her mate and then Travis sat next to Kuriame around the circular table.

“Kallman you mentioned the hunters being after Forest and another girl by the name of Daceria. Is there any way that the hunter would give up on trying to capture
These girls?” asked Aurora.

“No Kedro will not stop until he has time or dies trying.”

“Well then our only option is to kill him. You said he has a key element yes?” asked Aurora.

“Yes, he has Daceria’s mate Keri, Kedro’s second in command turned Adam evil not long after Adam and Daceria had fallen in love.” Kallman explained. Kallman was just glad he wasn’t forced to fight his mate. Was Keri going to turn him evil if she had the chance? Kallman swore he wouldn’t let her get that close to him ever again. Kallman could still picture Keri kissing him and it always made him sick to his stomach. If they could kill Kedro somehow, how would they kill Keri?

“Kallman do you have any suggestions on how to defeat Kedro and his men?” asked Aurora.

“Simple, I will kill him. I will not let him get away with what he said he would do to Forest.” Growled Kallman his claws beginning to transform again. Forest put her hand o n his and it calmed him down. Forest knew what would happen if Kallman transformed while in Kedro’s presence. If Kedro was alone Kallman would win. If Keri was around Kallman would die. A sorceress’s powers were too much for any full demon to handle. Forest just prayed that Kallman would win no matter what the odds were.

“Listen, brother I realize you are angry but you need
to calm yourself. You will not be able to defeat Kedro if at the sound of his name you begin to transform.” Calmly explained Aurora taking a hold of Kallman’s free hand.

Meanwhile, Kai had finally awoken from his slumber. He looked around to his right was Kedro and in front of him was Keri holding at sword at his neck.

“Welcome Kai, I’m so glad to have you finally awake.” Smiled Kedro looking at Kai.

“What do you want with me?” asked Kai attempting to be brave like his older brother.

“Hmm...What we want my friend is information on your brother Kallman and yourself. You see I could not find much about you two in the hunters archives.” Smiled Kedro.

“What makes you think I’ll tell you my family’s secrets?” growled Kai.

“Simple tell me or die.” Laughed Kedro as Keri now had the tip touching Kai’s throat. Kai had no choice, he would have to tell them in order to stay alive. He hoped Kallman and his sister Aurora would forgive him for what he was about to do.

Kai then explained how he and Kallman were from a clan hidden within the mountains. He explained about how their home was loaded with explosions and Kallman and Kai were the only ones to make it out alive. Then he explained how his sister Aurora still lived only because she was part of a different branch of their clan.

Keri released the sword from Kai’s neck and placed it within its sheath.

“Now what shall we do with him?” asked Keri.

“There’s no need to kill him yet. His brother is surely on his way to falling into our hands. Once I kill him, Daceria and Forest will be mine once and for all.” Laughed Kedro. Kai was taken to the dungeon and put within a cell by himself. Kai sat down and thought about his brother. Kai had always strived to be like Kallman. In his clan all the female members had wanted a chance with Kallman because of his talent, looks and fighting skills. Kai on the other hand was a healer wand was forced to stay away from danger at all costs. Kai had spent many years studying village doctors when he had free time Kai often followed Kallman to the village when Kallman would go for swords. Kallman had never said anything but Kai knew the truth. Kallman had taken the fall to keep Kai’s name good. The hunters had followed Kallman yes but Kai was the one who had gotten their attention. Kai had just finished talking to a local doctor when Kallman grabbed him.

“What in the world do you think you’re doing?” he had asked Kai.

Kai explained how he wanted to not only be a healer but a doctor as well. Well the doctor he spoke to informed a hunter close by of the wolf. The doctor said there could be more than one. Kallman and Kai quickly rushed home. Kallman told Kai to run ahead of him as fast as possible. Kai did as told and made it home long before Kallman. When the hunters saw where he went they loaded the mountain with explosions to drive us out so they could capture or kill us. Kallman had used his warrior like strength to save Kai. Unfortunately there two younger sisters and parents were lost that day. Kallman went to Aurora that day and told her it was his fault, when it was really his. Kai wished he could’ve had the strength to confess. In a way Kai had hoped now Aurora would let them stay but she only offered Kai. Kallman had took him with him to the swamp. Kallman then told him to make his home in the swamp. At fifteen he had left to find a mate and it had led him back to Kallman. Kai now in the dungeon with almost no hope saw the guard coming down the stairs. It was one he recognized Russell. Russell came down holding the keys in one hand and a plate of food in the other. He unlocked the cell entered and locked it behind him.

“What are you doing here?” asked Russell in a whisper.

“I was tricked and then kidnapped by Keri. I was brought here as bait to lure my brother Kallman into their hands.” Explained Kai.

“I can get you out of here but it won’t be simple. Take this food and eat up. When I come back we will both escape from this place.” Whispered Russell.

“Why not now?” asked Kai confused.

“Kedro is very suspious of me right now and he is expecting me to show for the next hunters meeting tonight. At midnight I will be down here again and we will get out of here together.” He explained unlocking the door and heading up the stairs. Kai glanced at the food, was it safe to eat? Kai put it beside him not wanting to risk it being poisoned or worse.

Daceria was at her tree with Adam’s brother Ryan. Ryan had told her everything he knew of Kedro’s plan to capture her. It sounded so simple but Daceria knew there was a missing piece. Ho would Kedro capture her now that the only thing holding Adam evil was the potion itself. Another question just what was he going to do with Kai? Would Kedro turn him evil, use him as bait or kill him. Daceria was very worried. She didn’t want Ryan to get any more involved. This whole event had probably scared him half to death. Daceria was just glad he was with her. She felt a lot more secure when a good guy was around, was that the major reason she missed Darkstorm so much. The fact that he was a good guy when he was around Daceria.

Daceria made a decision in the morning she would head to the swamp. They had to be all together if they were to save Kai and defeat Kedro at the same time. The sun began to set and Daceria led Ryan to the spare bedroom where he slept that night. Daceria then locked the doors and went to bed and dreamt about Adam and being with him once more.

On the other hand midnight was vastly approaching and Russell was packing a small bag of food to take with them on the journey. Once the hunters were asleep he went to the dungeon and awoke Kai.

“Hey, it’s time to get out of this dump.” Whispered Russell shaking him awake. Kai quickly got to his feet and followed Russell. They silently made their way through the many hallways and out of the exit into the snow. Russell had explained to Kai how Aurora a snow wolf had saved his life and how he easily gained back Kedro’s trust by taking down one of the wanted list. Kai hated to ask but he asked Russell what would happen when Kedro found Kai had escaped.

“He will find me and kill me.” Smiled Russell continuing to run through the snow with Kai running beside him.

“Why are you helping us demons? I don’t understand there has to be a reason.” Kai asked confused and curious. Russell let out a deep sigh and told him.

“I fell in love with her the moment I saw her and I couldn’t let that devil Kedro have such a beauty.” Explained Russell. Kai completely understood that’s how he had fallen for Forest. Forest was very beautiful and had stolen his heart away.

“That’s why you turned on the hunters?” asked Kai to confirm the story.

“Yes that is why.” Smiled Russell. Russell and Kai walked through the snow swiftly making their way up the mountain to make sure that no one was following them. Finally they made it to where Aurora was. Russell showed Kai the entrance and they went inside to look for Aurora.

Kallman could smell the scent of not only Kai but a human as well. Had Kai led Adam to where they were. Kallman whispered to Aurora and they left the grand hall into the hallway. Kallman could see them off into the distance. He hollered to Kai. Kai waved to him and Russell waved as well. Kallman ran to Kai and embraced him. Aurora embraced Russell.

“I’m so glad your okay.” Cried Kallman looking Kai in the eyes.

“Brother.” Cried Kai embracing him back. Aurora let go of Russell and embraced Kai.

“Oh you’ve grown so cute!” smiled Aurora.

“Thank you.” Smiled Kai embracing his older sister. They all went to the grand hall and Travis grabbed two more chairs for Kai and Russell.

“How did you escape from the hunters?” asked Kallman.

“Russell save me and led me here to Aurora’s place.” Kai explained.

“No one followed you did they?” asked Aurora concerned for their safety.

“No sister no one followed us I kept looking back to make sure of it.” Answered Kai.

“Okay I trust you.” Smiled Aurora.

“Kai is Kedro still after the girls?” asked Kallman.

“Yes, I heard him in the halls talking about after you were lured in by me and killed that capturing the girls would be simple.” Informed Kai. Kallman clenched his fist, did Kedro honestly think he could kill him.

“Kallman you will win.” Smiled Forest.

“Thanks, Forest but that’s not why I’m upset. I’m upset with the fact Kedro was going to use Kai to lure me to him and then he thought he could easily kill me. He was going to kill Kai whether I showed up or not and that is why I’m upset.” Growled Kallman. Forest kissed him on the cheek whispering “I love you.”

“Okay everyone as a group we will split into teams. One team will go after Daceria and the others will stay here and form a plan to defeat Kedro.” Calmly explained Aurora. Kallman looked at his sister, his sister had always been extremely smart and beautiful.

“Now how shall we split?” asked Kai.

“Okay Kallman, Russell and myself will stay her. Forest, Kai and Kuriame will go after Daceria.”

“Aurora are you sure you don’t want me with them?” asked Kallman knowing there was no one on that team that could stop the hunters if there was an attack.

“No, Kallman we need you here. You’re the strongest I know but your brother Kai can protect Forest. You have to trust him. They will come back safely I’m sure of it.” Smiled Aurora.

“Aurora it only makes sense to send me because I’m the strongest. Kai is a natural healer and he doesn’t like fighting.” Growled Kallman. He would not allow anything to happen to his mate.

“No, Kallman you need to stay here to form a plan of how to defeat Kedro. Kai will not be in the final battle so I felt safe sending him with Forest. Plus you have no idea about Kuriame’s strength or abilities.” Explained Aurora.

“If anything happens to...” started Kallman when he was stopped by Forest lips to his. Forest let go and smiled at him.

“I know the truth now, I will be fine.” Smiled Forest.

“Forest.” Whispered Kallman. “Are you sure?”

“Yes, positive.” She smiled. She kissed Kallman goodbye and then Kai, Kuriame and herself left the room and started to make their way out of the mountains into the land of the dead.

“Man this place is creepy does she live in here?” asked Kuriame.

“No my sister resides in the forest but the only way to get there from the snow mountains is through the land of the dead.” Explained Forest as they stepped over many dead bodies. Forest could still remember how Daceria had gotten Victor and Leta back into their clan. Forest hoped they both were happy again. Finally they found the forest entrance and it looked more beautiful than it ever had before. The sun was brightly shining down to the forest trees below. Forest could see Daceria’s tree. Forest along with Kai and Kuriame knocked on the tree.

Meanwhile Daceria had still been packing for her journey to the swamp when she heard a knock at the door. She quickly awoke Ryan and told him to get dressed. She rushed to the door and opened it too see two familiar faces Forest and Kai. One unfamiliar face though standing next to Forest. Daceria embraced Forest and then embraced Kai.

“Hey guys I was just about to head for the swamp. Kai, I’m so happy that you escaped the hunters.” Smiled Daceria.

“Really well were not in the swamp anymore. We were in the snow mountains with Kallman’s sister Aurora.

“Kallman has a sister?” questioned Daceria.

“Yes he does and she and the others are waiting for our return.” Smiled Forest. Ryan came up behind Daceria and they began their way back to Aurora’s. They walked into the land of the dead and made their way to the snow mountains. Once outside the land of the dead the snow was falling. They began their way through the snow mountains. Just when they thought it was a safe journey, Adam blocked their way with a lineup of twenty hunters.

“Hello again my dear Daceria.” Smiled Adam drawing his sword. Daceria was about to go forward when Kai stepped up to Adam.

“You will not touch either of them!” he growled. Adam looked at him and laughed.

“Do you honestly believe you can protect them? You don’t even have a sword.” Laughed Adam.

“I have a better weapon than a simple sword.” Growled Kai as he transformed into his wolf form. Adam looked at him.

“Even so you can’t protect all of them at once.” Smiled Adam demanding the hunters to grab the girls and head to the fortress within the snow.

Just then Daceria did something Adam had not suspected. She put a barrier around them keeping the twenty hunters out. Now Kai and Adam would have an even fight and not even Kedro could interfere.

“Daceria if you can hear me get out of here.” Shouted Kai bracing himself for the fight of his life.

“Kai we won’t leave you.” Cried Forest from within the barrier.

“Forest, I promise you, I will get you guys there safely and to do that I need you to trust my judgment. Let Daceria get you guys to safely I will catch up.” Replied Kai.

“All right Kai we all love you so please make it out of this alive.” Whispered Forest as Daceria teleported them to the forest.

“Daceria we need to get to the snow mountains but how do we get there without running into the hunters?” asked Forest concerned about Kai.

“I can’t teleport to the snow mountains because I’ve never been there.”

“Daceria there’s something you need to know.” Explained Forest.

“What is it?” asked Daceria.

“We’re related.” Explained Forest.

“I know that. We’ve always been sisters since the day I found you.” Smiled Daceria.

“No, we’re blood related. I found out my mother is Grace. She was the one who left the clan and was supposedly raped and murdered but she’s alive. Sister we are cousins by blood and this is my brother Kuriame.” Explained Forest. Daceria looked at Forest with such joy.

“I knew it, there had to be a reason we looked so similar.” Explained Daceria. “Forest do you realize what this means?”

“What?” asked Forest.

“You should be able to teleport to the snow mountains.” Explained Daceria.

“Daceria, I have no idea how to teleport though.”

“Forest you have Ace’s blood in you. You can teleport if you believe in yourself.” smiled Daceria. Forest closed her eyes and grabbed each of their hands and muttered the spell for teleportation. When Forest opened her eyes she was standing in front of Aurora, Kallman, and Russell within the grand hall.

“Forest where is Kai?” questioned Aurora.

“He is fighting the hunters. He told us to escape while we could. He is fighting Daceria’s mate Adam.” explained Forest. Kallman looked at them and then to Aurora.

“Does he want to die?” questioned Kallman.

“Kai knows full well that he’s not a fighter he’s a healer. How many hunters were with Adam?”

“Twenty.” replied Kuriame.

“Okay that’s the last straw. I’m going after him. Kallman went to leave when his sister blocked his path.

“Aurora let me through! I need to save Kai before he kills himself!” demanded Kallman.

“No Kallman you need to let Kai handle this this time. He’s not a baby anymore it’s time you learned that.” growled Aurora.

“Aurora you know as well as I do, if we don’t help him he’ll be captured or dead.”

“Don’t make me have to tie you up again.” smiled Aurora. Kallman walked away knowing full well his sister would not let him through. Kallman couldn’t help worrying about his younger brother. Kallman knew Kai had potential but he’d always left the fighting to him.

On the other hand Kai was fighting Adam. Kai grunted his teeth as Adam raised his sword and the fight began.

“Do you really think you stand a chance against me?” laughed Adam as he struck Kai’s legs first. Kai howled in pain and tore Adam’s sword to the ground below. Kai was bleeding from his right front leg but Adam not longer had a weapon. Adam in fear grabbed his sword and disappeared within the snow. Just when Kai thought he’d won Adam came back with Keri at his side.

“I injured his right front leg aim for that.” whispered Adam to Keri. Keri then muttered something and Kai’s right leg was set on fire. Kai returned to human form and rolled around until he put the fire out. By the time he stood up Keri was in front of him and she kissed him. Kai fell unconscious but just before he did he could see Forest calling for him.

When Kai awoke he was in his boxers shirtless. Kai sat up and quickly found his clothes were nowhere in sight. Kai also found his feet were shackled and his hands bided by ropes in front of him. Kai tried to tear off the ropes off but to his avail he could not. Keri had put some sort of spell on them to make them feel as strong as steel. Kai then tried to figure out why he wasn’t dead. Kedro could have killed him and yet he had him stripped down to his boxers and put in a bedroom. Just who was in charge and what was going to happen to him? Kai kept wondering when Keri entered the room and sat down in a chair in front of him. Kedro entered behind standing behind Keri and resting his hands on her shoulders.

“This had better work.” growled Kedro.

“It’s very nice to see your finally awake.” smiled Keri. Kai just grunted. Keri slapped his cheek.

“I’m talking to you and to think I went to all the trouble of bandaging your right leg.” smiled Keri. Kai looked to his leg and sure enough it was wrapped up in cloths.

“Thank you.” replied Kai. Kai was very nervous just what were they planning to do to him.

“You’re very welcome. Now you’re probably wondering why you’re not dead correct?” asked Keri. Kai shook his head for yes. Keri slapped him once more.

“First thing the more you don’t talk the more I will hurt you. Second thing is the reason you’re here and alive is because of Kallman. If he was dead you would be too. Since Kallman is alive we want to know where. Third we want the girls and we know they were with you. You can tell us where they went and why.” explained Keri.

“You want me to lead you to Forest and Daceria?” asked Kai.

“Yes.” growled Kedro. Kai looked at them and then looked at his leg. There had to be some good in Keri if she was able to wrap his leg up.

“Can I make one request.” asked Kai.

“Depends on what the request is.” answered Kedro.

“Could I talk to Keri alone.” He muttered. Keri and Kedro both whispered to each other. Afterwards Kedro left the room and shut the door behind him.

“Could you please explain something to me?” asked Kai.

“I would be happy to just ask your question.” Smiled Keri.

“Why am I in my boxers?” asked Kai gazing the room once more for his clothes.

“How else was I supposed to wrap up your leg.” Explained Keri.

“You didn’t need to take my shirt to wrap up my leg.” Growled Kai.

“Fine. I’ll admit it I was curious of what you looked like without your shirt so I took it off and I must say you’re quite charming.” Smiled Keri.

“I want my clothes.” Demanded Kai. Keri just looked at him.

“They’re in the wash. You can have them after you tell us where the girls are.” Replied Keri.

“And if I don’t tell you then what?” asked Kai already knowing the answer.

“Simple don’t tell us and you’ll die. Tell us and you might live.” Smiled Keri.

“Might?” asked Kai.

“I say that because your brother has caused us lots of issues but I can convince my finance to let you live. After all your just too cute to die young.” Smirked Keri touching his cheek that she slapped.

“Sorry about that.”

“You’re sorry that you slapped me?” asked Kai confused.

“Yeah, it was Kedro’s orders. I’m the one who convince him to let you live and stay in my bedroom.” Laughed Keri.
“Why?” asked Kai.

“I already told you, your cute possibly better looking than your brother.” Giggled Keri. Kai had never heard anyone say he was the better looking of the two minus Aurora. Kallman was the one who had always attracted girls to him like a magnet. Kai on the other hand had always been overlooked. Now the one girl to think he was cute was evil and engaged to Kedro. Kai sighed what was his life worth anyway? He had always tried to be like his brother with little success. Kallman had taught him everything he knew about fighting. Kai could tell Keri was waiting for an answer.

“All right I’ll tell you where they are but first I have to know. Why did a beautiful girl like yourself join the likes of Kedro?” asked Kai.

“No one has ever asked me that before. I suppose I can tell you.” She smiled. Kai nodded and the story began.

“When I was growing up my father and mother taught me magic. I practiced for years and years. Then when I was out in the forest practicing Kedro noticed me. He came up to me and asked me if I wanted a job. I was sixteen at the time. I told him about my parents and he walked me home. My parents saw his uniform and bowed to him. At first I didn’t know why but then Kedro said “Stand up you don’t need to bow to me because I’m the leader of the hunters.” Then I told my parents about the job. They both agreed and within a week I was staying with Kedro. Two years later I had perfected my abilities as a sorceress and that was when I learned about Ace and Daceria. After that I stayed with Kedro and promised to bring him what he wanted.” Explained Keri.

“Wow.” Replied Kai.

“Kedro you can come back in now.” Shouted Keri. Kedro came in but Kai noticed a difference. Kedro had fox ears beneath his hat and a bushy fox tail.

“Are you sure?” asked Keri.

“Yes, it doesn’t matter. They all know who I really am.” He replied.

“They’re in the snow mountains. I don’t know any more than that.” Explained Kai.

“Really? Are you sure that’s all you know?” asked Kedro pointing a sword to his throat.

“There with Aurora in a cavern hidden in the snow mountains.” Choked Kai.

“Aurora, such a beautiful name. She is your sister correct?” asked Kedro.

“Half sister.” Choked Kai.

“Interesting...Keri get his clothes and afterwards Kai will lead us right to them.” Laughed Kedro. Kai watched as Keri left the room and it was just him and Kedro. Kedro took off his hat and sat in Keri’s place.

“You know boy, you and your brother are a pain in the neck. Hopefully your sister is easier to deal with.” Smiled Kedro.

“What are you planning to do with Aurora?” demanded Kai.

“Well it depends. I’ve done some research and heard she is a rare snow wolf.” Smirked Kedro.

“You touch my sister and Kallman and I will kill you!” shouted Kai. Kedro put his sword and drew blood from Kai’s left shoulder.

“Any more threats, and you’ll die here.” Grinned Kedro. Kai forced himself to be quiet until Keri returned. Keri tossed Kai’s clothes beside him. Kedro handed Keri the keys and stood in front of the door in the odd chance that Kai would try to escape. Keri untied the ropes and unlocked the shackles. Kai wanted to flee but he knew it was impossible with Kedro at the door. Kai had to think of a plan without making it look suspicious. Kai put on his clothes, having a little trouble with his pants. As soon as he was finished Keri had the ropes in hand. Kedro walked over to Kai and twisted his hands behind his back and once again he was bond.

“Listen kid, as soon as we have the girls secure we’ll let you go. I don’t trust you one bit so don’t try any tricks, I know them all by heart.” Smirked Kedro pushing Kai to the door. Keri followed behind. They made their way out of the hunters hideout and into the snow. Adam and the rest of the hunters were waiting. There were only one hundred of them left. Adam stood tall in the front and bowed to Kedro.

“Are we ready sir?” asked Adam.

“Yes, my friend Kai here is going to lead us to them.” Smiled Kedro pushing Kai forward. Kai looked back for a split second and Kedro pushed him further once more. Kai was forced to lead them to where they were. Kai’s only plan was to yell a warning when they were almost there in hopes someone would hear him.

*Sigh.* Eventually, Kai is going to have to learn not to get caught, you know that? You should apprentice him to a tracker or something, someone who will show him the ropes.
