In April of 2006, the 10-15, my marching band will be down in Florida at the Disney Magic Music Days in the parade and a concert clinic. I was wondering if anyone else was going to be in Disney around the same time. I think that would be amusing. Also, I was wondering if anyone HAS been there, because I would like to know what it is like. biggrin

Went there with my marching band last year. IT WAS AWESOME!!! Yeah, we played right before left to come home and we played at Epcot at night so we had a seventeen and a half bus ride starting at 10:00 pm. But other than that it was fun.
We didn't do the concert clinic though.

We don't get to play at Epcot question But we are marching in a parade in the actual park, around Cinderella's castle and all that fun stuff.
But yay ^_^ I hope it's fun or the 19 hour drive will be pointless ...

My band does it every other year. My freshmen year was the 30th anniversery of Magic Music Days and out of those 30, my band director had been to 28.

I was in the Music Days Parade once. It was fun but sweltering HOT in uniforms on a 80-90 degree day. The parade was so short though

Our band was lucky enough to get the night parade at Epcot last year. But the Magic Kingdom parade has been done by our band before.

We went there two years ago. Well, not we, I didn't go because I got a bad grade and my parents DENIED me my band... stare

we went in April 05. All we did was go down on Monday, tuesday=magic kingdom, wed=MGM, thur=Animal Kingdom, fri=Epcot and parade. We also went to Medieval Times, Disney Quest, and some other stuff.
but that was us, I don't know if everyone does that...

My high school band went a few years ago and did a concert on Tomorrowland stage. I really liked the clinic though (we did the recording one and we played the music for a Tarzan trailer and then they edited us playing onto the animation). It was cool trip. We stayed at the Carribean beach resort which was nice because we could have a pool party every night and watch the fireworks from the shows in Magic Kingdom. It was also nice that we could travel between two parks, Downtown Disney, and the resort as many times as we wanted each day so it was virtually impossible for the chaperones to keep track of us.

My band'll be going April 25-30. How weird/cool would it be to run into someone from the guild there? ^-^

We're also going to Disney this year. We are going for the Easter holidays and we will march in the parade in the Magical Kingdom.
