Rules and Regulations on Profiles:
1. PM your character with the below template so your character can get evaluated and approved for the RP.
2. Observe already established forum and guild rules.
3. Be respectful to others in the RP as this is an open-end RP where multiple people can post and interact with multiple people or just a single individual while others are enjoying the RP within the world I've created.
4. All characters are humans and start within the Leaf Village. Anything else will be deemed unnecessary and worthless. This means no vampires, werewolves, and other stupid crap like that. This is a ninja RP. If you're main character can't speak English then their is no point in even applying. You can, however, have an animal with your character. Dogs are the most common animal companion to a ninja in this RP. I would like to see a lot of people play Genin level shinobi instead of the higher ranks of shinobi as well.
5. If there is a question concerning something in the RP, such as an attack or aspect of the world, then please send a PM to me about it. If enough questions on a particular topic comes to my attention I will turn one of the three reserved posts into a FAQ to answer help answer those questions without having to wait for a response from me directly.
6. Be realistic with your character as much as possible. This means thinking before you type your post. Also, it means if you're character preformed several complicated actions, such as multiple ninjutsu or taijutsu attacks in a row, then I expect you to have your character at some kind of level of fatigue. No one's character shall have unlimited amounts of stamina and chakra -- that crap is reserved for major villains.
7. Talk to people in the OOC thread that I will have available. It will also be linked inside the actual RP thread as well for easy access of both threads. This is to help coordinate interaction between characters when multiple people start Rping in the thread.
8. In the end, if I decide to change something in the RP's world, I will announce it in red text at the end of one of my RP posts to serve as kind of an announcement.
9. Please don't use a bunch of flashy colored text or stupid small font. If people can't read it then I don't want you in my RP. This is because the quality of posts I want to see are well thought out and written paragraphs of information. Quality and nice quantity are what I would like. This doesn't mean six paragraphs of stuff. I'm talking about something like one to three really awesome full-paragraphs. Not hard to ask people to put skill into the RP.
10. Any advancement of time from anyone other than myself will be strictly prohibited. I want this RP to be played slowly. A major advancement of time will be announced to the entire RP. I do expect people to read everyone's posts so that people know what is going on at all times.
11. Please send a sample of your level of skill to me in a PM. All samples, as well as posts, must be at least six well developed sentences. This is going to be strictly enforced.
12. Rules are subject to revisions in wording for clarification.

The Shinobi World:
The shinobi world I'm going to use for this RP comprises of many different aspects of the Naruto cartoon shows. These episodes can be viewed at hulu.com for a better understanding of the world in which I'm molding the RP after and around. The RP's date is set in the future after all the main characters in the cartoon have long been killed off from whatever means that killed them. As a result of this, the core elements of that world still remain intact for use and a template for this RP.
For example, Chakra. This is the "energy" that ninja use to preform techniques for various purposes. A ninja that loses all of their Chakra most likely are dead. Chakra is closely related to a person's stamina. The more Chakra you use the more stamina you use because of the level of difficulty or concentration required in order to execute the ninja technique. Chakra can do many things for the person, such as walk on water or high from ceilings.
In the shinobi world there are five basic elemental Chakra natures. Fire, water, earth, wind, and lightning. Each unique to themselves with their own various properties that can turn into formidable techniques in a battle. Combining two Chakra natures creates a unique special nature that has a whole new assortment of properties by itself. A two or three nature combination is nearly impossible and only a select few shinobi in the entire shinobi world have been able to succeed in such a task that Jounin level and higher can preform. However, this still doesn't mean it's easy.
There are four commonly known levels that ninja are ranked at. These ranking levels aren't determined necessarily by the amount of techniques the person has. These ranking levels are determined by an assortment of characteristics of that individual, such as battle experience, Chakra knowledge, and technique skills (not limited to just Jutsu techniques either). The lowest ranking level is Genin: entry level ninja that has graduated from the Ninja Academy; who are also most likely a child or young teenager that most likely don't know their chakra nature. However, through training a Genin can learn what their nature is and develop jutsu based around it from their teacher directly. After that is Chunin: one that has past the Chunin Exam that is held twice a year. Chunin become squad leaders when a Jounin isn't available and probably have one chakra nature. Third level ranking is Jounin. Jounin are usually a team's captain during a mission or operation. They are responsible for the team and the objective during their mission or operation. Jounin commonly can be found to control two chakra natures. The final level ranking would be Sannin. Sannin are extraordinarily powerful shinobi that are known across the land for their vastly superior skills on the battlefield, knowledge of the world, and leadership abilities. Sannin are often looked up as potential leaders of shinobi villages as the pillar of strength for the people.
Throughout the world unique jutsu abilities are passed down from generation to generation. Some abilities are passed down through genetics (bloodline), while others are skills and abilities only known to those in the clan. These unique jutsu abilities are called Kekkai Genkai or Bloodline Limit.
Note: I don't want to see a bunch of people thinking they can just slap together a Bloodline Limit and expect me to allow it. I plan on having a massive amount of people in this RP and expect to see nearly 95% of those people with no Kekkai Genkai. You can be associated to a clan and not have a Kekkai Genkai. It could be simply a mastering of a particular style of jutsu.

The Five Great Nations and Ninja Villages
The Five Great Nations are the richest countries in the world. Their names are, Fire, Wind, Lightning, Earth, and Water; which are the five basic elements of ninjutsu. The Land of Fire contains the Hidden Village in the Leaves, the Land of Wind contains the Hidden Village in the Sand, the Land of Lightning contains the Hidden Village in the Clouds, the Land of Earth contains the Hidden Village in the Rocks, and the Land of Water contains the Hidden Village in the Mist. Each village in each country are the backbone of the country's source of income. In a village in a particular country were to become destroyed, then over time that country's military power would diminish and risk invasion from enemy nations.
In this RP, all characters start in the Land of Fire's village -- Hidden Village in the Leaves.

Hidden Village Leadership
Out of all the shinobi countries of the world of Naruto, the five most powerful are allowed to call their leaders by the Kage (Shadow) title. These five individuals are called the "Five Kage," they are Watershadow (Mizukage), Fireshadow (Hokage), Windshadow (Kazekage) , Earthshadow (Tsuchikage) and Lightningshadow (Raikage). The Kage are the leaders of their respective hidden villages and the ninja which inhabit their country. So far eleven Kage have had some part in the world of Naruto.

Intro to Chakra:
To perform techniques, ninja need to use their chakra. Chakra comes from two places: (1) the body energy inherent in the trillions of their cells and (2) the mental & spiritual energy gained from exercise and experience. To perform a jutsu, the ninja will bring out and release these two energies. The amount of chakra required for a technique will vary depending upon its size and complexity. Each ninja has the potential to better utilize an elemental Ninjutsu style. For more on elemental chakra and jutsu, click here. For Taijutsu the ninja does not need to necessarily use chakra, as some attacks merely use the stamina required to carry out the attack. For Ninjutsu the ninja's chakra control will determine how much chakra is used on the technique. For ninja with excellent chakra control, they will use the minimum amount with nothing wasted. For ninja with poor chakra control, they will expend more chakra than needed to accomplish their jutsu.
Chakra flows through the body's chakra circulatory system. On a more microscopic level is these channels connecting all the vital points on the body. These small channel pathways travel between the cells of the body. They carry the generated chakra and allow the ninja to mold it. If these channels are severed, it is beyond the ability of even skilled medical ninja to repair. On the large scale the chakra circulatory system travels throughout the body and around the internal organs also responsible for creating chakra. This system includes 361 tenketsu, which are tiny pin points through which the chakra flows. The chakra flow can be increased or decreased by manipulating these tenketsu. The chakra circulatory system is only visible through the use of the Byakugan. The Sharingan can see general chakra flow, but not the internal system itself. The Byakugan and the Hyuuga clan's Juuken (Gentle Fist) attack style allows them to eject their chakra from their hands into the tenketsu of their opponents. This pressure will cause the tenketsu to close and block the flow of chakra. With enough tenketsu closed, the ninja's chakra flow will be almost nothing, eliminating their ability to use jutsu. Also because the system travels throughout the body and around the internal organs, pressure done against the tenketsu will also damage nearby organs. Because a ninja can not train and strengthen their internal organs, such attacks can be devastating.

Using Chakra:
Focusing an equal and constant amount of chakra to a portion of the ninja's body allows them to attach their body to the touched object. This would allow them to walk up vertical surfaces. By expelling a continuous set amount from their feet in proportion to their body weight, the ninja can walk on water. Ninja can also focus chakra to specific limbs, which will increase the muscles' power and strength.
Chakra can also be extended from the body for attack and defense. This can take the form of the chakra strings used to manipulate puppets in Puppet Jutsu. It can also be focused to a fine point for cutting, such as a chakra scalpel. It can also be used to form a defensive barrier.
The chakra in the brain and sensory organs are also the primary target of Genjutsu. Genjutsu is created when a ninja extends their chakra flow through the cerebral nervous system of their opponent to control their minds chakra, thereby affecting their five senses. To combat the effects of Genjutsu, there are two options. The first option is for the ninja to stop the flow of chakra in their body, and then apply an even stronger power to disrupt the flow of the casters chakra. The second option is to have an outside ninja unaffected by the Genjutsu make body contact, and use their chakra to disrupt the casters flow.

Jutsu, or skills/techniques, are the mystical arts a ninja will utilize in battle. To use a jutsu, the ninja will need to use his chakra. Chakra comes from two places. (1) the body energy inherent in your trillions of cells and (2) the mental & spiritual energy gained from exercise and experience.
To perform a jutsu, the ninja will bring out and release these two energies. By forming hand seals, the ninja is able manifest the desired jutsu. Because of the extensive number of hand seals and different combinations, there are thousands of potential jutsu to be discovered.
Based on which jutsu the ninja uses, the type and amount of chakra will be different as would the elements you would be to employ. The five main elemental styles are also the five names for the Five Great Shinobi Countries: Fire, Wind, Lightning, Earth and Water. Each ninja has the potential to better utilize one of these styles and potentially more. A special elemental detecting paper is used to determine ones type. The paper comes from trees which are specially grown with chakra. When the ninja imbues the paper with a portion of their chakra, the paper will alter to reveal one's type. The paper will rip in two for Wind, burn for Fire, become wet for Water, fall apart for Earth and crumple for Lightning.
The five elements themselves form a cyclical strong and weak relationship against each other. The element of Fire is stronger than Wind, as the usage of Wind merely increases the strength of Fire. So if a Fire jutsu came up against an equal strength Wind jutsu, the Fire jutsu is more likely to win out. Wind in turn is stronger than Lightning. Lightning is stronger than Earth and Earth in stronger than Water. Water finishes the cycle by naturally winning out over Fire. Below is the strengths and weakness relationship between each element.

Intro to Jutsu: Taijutsu
Taijutsu techniques are the body and hand to hand skills of the ninja. Taijutsu techniques do not require hand seals. Instead the ninja will train their body in different forms of fighting. A ninja can also use their inherent Bloodline abilities when doing Taijutsu techniques. Clans such as Hyuuga can utilize their ability to see the inner chakra channels of their opponent and then stop the flow, or utilize the Rotation technique to form a protective barrier by releasing chakra from their body.
Taijutsu techniques are the body and hand to hand skills of the ninja. To further their attack prowess, certain ninja will practice specific forms and styles of fighting. This section will detail these styles.
Strong Fist Style
The Strong Fist Style focuses on injuring the body and breaking bones, dealing primary damage to the outer body. In the case of ninja that can't use ninjutsu or genjutsu, taijutsu becomes their specialty and often in time will transform into a chakra based attack through the use of tremendous taijutsu training. Very few shinobi are complete taijutsu specialists because of that.
Gentle Fist Style
Gentle Fist Style is a fighting style utilized by Hyuuga clan members, it is the strongest style of Leaf Village. The Byakugan has a penetrating ability to see the tenketsu, the internal chakra coils system 361 pressure points. The clan member can use their fingers or palms to emit chakra to flow into their opponents body's at these precise points. When the hand draws close enough to strike, the clan member can stop or increase their opponents chakra flow. The internal chakra coils which spread throughout the body also wrap around the internal chakra producing organs. So if the internal coils are attacked, it also damages these internal organs. Because a ninja can not train their internal body, such damage can be a critical hit for even a highly skilled ninja.
Hyper Speed Fist Style
This style of taijutsu is a modified version of Strong Fist Style. This style of taijutsu incorporates the user's chakra element to apply an effect to the taijutsu technique's damage. Fire element produces an explosive impact effect that delivers extra damage. Wind element produces shock wave or knock back effect that sends your target flying backwards from the impact of your attack. Lightning element produces a stunning effect on the target for a few seconds; which is perfect for setting up combination attacks with taijutsu techniques. Earth element hardens the user's body equal to steel -- this makes counter attacks very difficult to make against a Earth element Hyper Speed Fist Style user. Water element produces faster movement speed with attacks and maneuvers with taijutsu techniques. When different chakra elements are combined with this style of taijutsu, it produces extremely powerful attacks and horrific amounts of devastation. Because this taijutsu is exclusive to Takimaru Karasutsai, only he can teach another shinobi this style of taijutsu. This is because Takimaru Karasutsai is a combination specialist shinobi of ninjutsu and taijutsu with the chakra natures water and lightning. Because of this, Takimaru can combine water and lightning chakra to have extremely fast combination taijutsu attacks with stunning effects.

Ryoko smiled at the man trying to get her into class. Nobody ever really cared about where she was before, except for the guards of the hidden village. "Sorry to disapoint, but I am not really a student. More like a half student- I hang out in classes when I want to, but I'm not enrolled here. I graduated when I was 12," she explains to the man. "I still come here often to learn a new trick or two, or to play with some of the younger kids. Little Hikari and her friends seem to like playing with me on tuesdays, heh."
Ryoko stretches her arms above her head, yawning at the same time. While raising her arms about her head, her sleeve falls back and her barcode tattoo is revealed for a second before she drops her arms. She then goes on to explain, "I was told to come here today though so I could be re-assigned to a new three member squad, since my last group moved on to being Chunin's... I was just going to ditch, but I guess I'll go in at this point..." She giggles at the man. "Since I get to see something cool now!" she exclaims, following him inside.

Scratching the back of his head he chuckles lightly at her excitement at seeing something cool. "Well since you are an academy graduate, care to share your name with me?" She seemed to be an older teenager, probably around the age most ninja have stayed Chunin for at least a year or so that is what Takimaru thought anyways. Her answer would come to him as they made their way to the door and entered inside. He moved his way down the main hallway and took a left down another to the last classroom on the right. As he knocked the teacher inside said loud enough to echo through the door. "Looks like our guest is here to help demonstrate his ninjutsu for everyone to understand the importance of learning your own." Takimaru figured that was his que to open the door and did so with his left hand and walked in with a smile and hand waving at the class. The teacher nodded his head as he greeted Takimaru in. "Welcome to the class Karasutsai sensai. Shall we go outside so you can demonstrate a couple ninjutsu for the class?" Takimaru nodded and followed the instructor and students outside.
As everyone stood around watching him, Takimaru grinned and walked over to the small pond in the courtyard. He simply walked on top of the water by managing his chakra under each good. "I shall demonstrate to all of you a jutsu that I myself created from the combination of Water and Lightning element natures. However, I will need a powerful jutsu to help demonstrate the power of mine." So with that he looks at the class's teacher and nods. The instructor steps in front of Takimaru with a distance of twenty yards between the two of them. "Shall we begin?" Takimaru asked the teacher and with a nod from both of them, the teacher began to make the hand sealing order for the Fireball Jutsu. Quickly Takimaru made the five hand seal order: ox, tiger, snake, horse, and dog. "Dragon Style: Dragon Shield Jutsu!" Quickly the water around Takimaru surrounded him and electrified with his lightning chakra nature. As the Fireball Jutsu connected with the Dragon Shield Jutsu, nothing but steam rolled off Takimaru's jutsu as the advanced level of his jutsu was simply to much for the attack against it to handle and was dispelled because of it. Takimaru can then be seen by the students with legs bent at the knees and him maintaining the dog hand seal. His jutsu was rippling with an electrical field as the water held its shape and form around him. All of the academy students were excited and amazed at the advanced ninjutsu Takimaru had displayed. It was natural for them to since they weren't older than ten years old.

"Ryoko," She says. I should with hold my last name from him for now, since I really don't know him, she thinks to herself. She silently watches the class go out side. The last child to leave the class room is a small, brown haired girl, who's face lights up when she sees Ryoko. "Ryoko-neechan!" she says hugging Ryoko. Ryoko gives a quick "Shh!", making sure the teacher, who well knew Ryoko due to the numerous times Ryoko had entertained the class through though the nearby window, wouldn't notice that she was tagging along. Ryoko lifts the little girl up onto her shoulders and follows the rest of the class outside.
Watching the demonstration, Ryoko studies the Jutsu thoroughly. She quietly whispers up to the girl on her shoulders, "I'm gonna quiz you, Hikari-chan!" and little Hikari nods, studying the jutsu closely as well. When the demonstration is over, Hikari exclaims a little too loudly, "Hey, isn't that the jutsu you showed us once? The one with the fire?"
The teacher suddenly notices Ryoko and Hikari and quickly shouts a threatening "Why are you here?!"
Ryoko shrugs, saying "Oh no, I was busted," while at the same time Hikari whines out "Don't make Ryoko-neechan leave, PLEASE!!!"
