i see it now these things are like hybrids of words.
that is one way of looking at it... rebuses are visual riddles that lead you to an answer. sometimes it is the color of the word... if i wrote the word herring i may be referring to a fish but if i wrote it like this
herring i would mean something else... in other rebuses the position of the letters or words is what is important...and at other times it is a picture is used in place of a word, such as using a
heart for the word love...... for example... say you were given a card with a single word HAT written up at the very top of the card it could mean TOP HAT... is it any clearer now?
