 That's right kiddies it is officially that time of the year again. Gaia is another year older and this time they have decided to give out Sashes as the Event Gift.
These sashes are special though because they tell the world just how old you really are. Or how long you have supported Gaia anyway.

I'm currently hosting a contest in the ATG clan...
I'm noticing something odd about the sashes though, mine appears to say 2006 backwards.
...The prize is 5k. Why not swing by and check it out?

All items reverse when you put them on your avatar. It has something to do with how it's coded.
It would be a lot of work to fix it at this point so just go with it.

Mine says 2005 backwards 
On another note, to celebrate I'm wearing my first dream avi...I wonder if anyone remembers when I had this avatar...it lasted for a long time before I finally changed. I went at this avi for Halloween too! -geek-

I can't gift my 2003 sash from my old account to this one. Stupid soul bound feature. This account only has the 2005 sash.
Bummer. I have one for 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, and 2007. No 2008 or 2009 though, and you can't buy them in the marketplace...yet they have listings there?!? Gaia is making it seriously hard to get all my favorite colors.

They soul bound them AFTER release that is why there are some in the marketplace. You can't buy them.
I think they did it for coding reasons because there are only X Number of Sashes for X number of users. Haven't seen an offical answer YET.
