I think I may have overdone it again by investing too much in a sound system.
I have a question though. Does it make you a chav investing into obscenely loud subwoofers and incredibly crisp speakers so that you can hear (and most of the time feel) music? (industrial most of the time).
*edit* I forgot to mention they were installed in a car... a honda fit actually.

I myself am about to install a decently nice one in my Jeep. Nothing to much, mainly dual 15" subs. As for the DVD player...that's rather questionable, especially while driving. Also, all this in a FIT?! The Fit is go!

But with its poor sound quality and hefty price tag, it would have been a smarter choice to get a decent head unit and a portable cheaper gps. I may sound stupid but what do you mean my "the fit is go*? Personally the reason why i got a fit is because they are such a blast to drive around... I mean you don't drive in a fit... you trundle along in a fit XD Also its because i cant drive my grand national in the winter and my other car died RIP foodles (94 plymouth acclaim) 91000km-410000km

I've been looking for one. Ah, I bought my Grand Wagoneer simply because it's a Jeep *huge fan of them* and I can drive it just about anywhere. The Fit is go was part of the advertisement for the Fit. Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LewrIoNgPesI don't like most dual units, for they don't push enough sound out. Take it back, and get a better head unit. Those portable GPS systems aren't too bad overall.

My dad never lets me have loud speakers like that, but then he goes out and buys it for himself. So I have to settle for blasting my mp3 player way too high so I can't hear anyone. stare *steals dad's speakers*

It has 30000 miles on it and is now stripped out and is a road going race car... to give you an idea of how seriously stripped out it its, i ripped out the AC, heater, spare tire, carpets, backs seat (which has been replaced with a roll cage), gas tank, (which has been raplaced with a fuel cell). sooo... thats why i don't drive it in the winter. ps. we dont get that fit ad in canadia XD

I believe Canada should change titles to Canadia. Sounds better, and rolls off the tounge. Very nice, I see what you're doing with that national. Over this summer I'll be looking around for a street legal/drag project to get started on. Thought about making my Grand Wagoneer a drag car, but it's perfect as is, plus Premium gets expensive.

I have wasted WAY too much time and money in this car... i should have kept it stock... it might have been worth something today.

Thats the thing I hate bout these guys... thay want to make sure everybody within a 100 yard radius can hear what their playing... My approach is a bit more subtle than that. Theres this difference between the SPL fanatics and SQ people. The SPL enthusiest will just install a dozen huge subwoofers in their car with monstrous amplifiers cranked up to the max. These guys will typically install an exhaust on their car that resembles a king beer can. The SQ enthusiest approach is a bit different. An SQ enthusiast will typically be a number crunching geek which finds graphic equalizers and capacitors interesting. The SQ fanatic will choose the speakers not for how much noise they make but for what kind of noises they make. Once he has carfully chosen the speakers he will calibrate them so they deliver an even sound pressure levels across the entire spectrum of frequencies audible to the human ear. Sadly, most speaker sets cannot deliver the low frequencies delivered by sub woofers. So... if you're a real SQ freak youre going to have to resort in those obnoxious toys the chavs so often misuse. Although i have to admit...subwoofers when cranked up sort of add an other dimension to music... not only can you hear the music but you can also feel it (I'm guessing you can also do the same on acid or ecstasy but while driving its probably not a good thing).
