March 23, 2008, she was diagnosed with cancer. February 13, 2009, she died.

She was also my mother.

That's the reason why she stopped posting. She was sick, very sick, and fighting her illness. I wanted to say something, but I didn't want real life troubles following me online.

I don't even know where to begin this time. It's hard enough knowing one of our friends here has lost a parent or a loved one. But to know one of our members, who has brought us smiles and joy isn't with us anymore, that's heavy.

Let us know if there's anything we can do for you. Perhaps we could do something in her honor with the guild as well?

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, Lady Jade. My biological mother died early this year. She was also ill - but with a mental illness. It's never nice to watch someone you love and care about suffer - but then it's often hard to let them go. For me, there was a feeling of releif - no more pain, for either of us, but especially for her. Death is so finite. Life is so precious.
I'm sure ymshonesty is resting peacefully.
