Okay, so I'm not in colorguard, but does anybody around have a few guys in their guard? Our school has two and they're the best we've got!

We had two this past season, but one is graduating and the other is too busy to return next season. So unless we manage to recruit some boys from the middle school that are coming into high school, or some guys become interested, then it'll be all-girls again.

We had a guard boy this Winter Guard season, and he was TERRIBLE!!! OMG! I thought guard boys were supposed to be AMAZING! Our boy didn't pay attention, he didn't count, didn't try to do anything. The crazy part is that he's in Marching Band, and he's a Junior. You'd think he'd freaking at least know how to count to 16!!! Or at least 3. On the other hand, he is LD, and that might account for some of it, but we tried to help him a LOT, and he wouldn't listen to us. We kind of gave up on him... I heard that he wants to try out again for next Winter Guard. Poo. =[

We were GONNA have one. It took us nearly 9 months to convince him to try out, and when he finally DID come to practice [he LOVED it, by the way], he ended up dropping out because his parents thought he was gay and talked him out of it. D:
It was depressing... He's trying out next year though...I already talked him and his friend into it. >D
Seriously, what's gay about hanging out with hot girls and handling weaponry all day?

Northern Lights= love.
I wanted to do guard (I am a boy, don't let the avi fool you) but my BD was sexist and wouldn't let guys do it. Me and another guy wanted to badly, and we could of recruited more, and we were beast at weaponry stuff.

Last year we had two guys, both gay, but not for each other. One graduated and the other had other priorities.
