If he doesn't know any better you can't blame him.
He's probably telling you all this because he trusts you so much and he knows you're good with relationshippy things (i assume so, if you lasted 2 years) and he is comfortable confiding in you about it.

sad I know it's hard but you have to try and accept that he's happy. He's trying to move on from you and that's probably difficult. You should try to be happy for him too because he's found someone he really likes. If you can't be together, you can't blame him for finding someone else.
If you really can't stand it maybe you should try talking to him less. Or find someone else to like and fixate on, and then you won't care as much about it.
