Teen Titans: Year One
Its available in Trade Paper Back now, and the art alone makes it worth the purchase.
I'd also suggest "Blue Beetle", but its on its way out the door ;__;

Green Lantern since Geoff Johns as been awesome. Anyone has to read it, even if they didnt know anything about the Green Lanterns, but beware you will get addicted to it. Superman, yes I know its weird, I didnt like Superman much, but again, since Geoff start writing it, wow, great stories. Justice Society, also by Johns, a great team, great stories, I like it better than the Justice League, his members work better, and every personality is right on. Robin, lately has been great, at times better than Batman titles.

JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA!
Oh, sweet Mary Marvel, Geoff Johns is AMAZING. The entire Kingdom Come story-arc was beautiful and I loved every moment of it. I can't wait for the new issue maaaaan!!!
Also, some thing great about it? COUPLES THAT YOU ACTUALLY LIKE! I know, its shocking, really, but it actually has couples...THAT DON'T SUCK!
Judomaster/Damage...Hour Man/Liberty Belle...Oh, and it has Cyclone and Power Girl.
CYCLONE and POWER GIRL.
WHY AREN'T YOU BUYING THIS NOW?!?!

Yeah!! Geoff is right now for me the best writer on DC, Green Lantern, Superman, Justice Society, and what you said about his couples is right, he writes the best couples on comics, and he is one of the few writers that always -always- leave us readers on the edge, waiting for the next issue to see what happens... its such sweet torture... waiting a full month to see what happen

Though I suggest avoiding his run on the current Titans.
Ugh, y'know, I enjoyed it enough but looking back? It was pretty bad.

Another good series is The Secret Six, Gail Simone has done a superb work with Catman and Dead Shot, she has rised them from nobodies to very complex characters, and since they aint heroes or villains they got enemies and allies from both sides. Great series.

Also a good pick? The Spirit.
No Super-Powers, not placed in the DCU...But daaaaamnn is it fun. All Spirit uses are his fists and his wit, all while doing it with a big goofy grin.
