Ok, when I first saw Cloverfield, I saw the Dahrma initiative logo pop up in the first minute. Also, the weirdo black guy from Lost is ALSO in Fringe. Connection? Is the Island part of the Pattern, as well as the Cloverfield Monster? If so, I called it. xp

There may be some relation, but I don't think the plot lines are intertwined. Just in the way Alias and Lost have countless crossovers, it doesn't make them the same story.
These things just happen when writers are obsessed with their brain-child. It starts to sneak into everything else.
The Dharma logo in Cloverfield was not an accident. It was put there completely on purpose.
