Just Not Fair
It's just not fair
how nothing ever works
the way that it should
I'm screaming
at the shattered mirror
angry by what it shows
hating what it makes me see
it reflects my broken soul

It's just not fair
how eveyone expects
so f***ing much from me
I'm yelling
out the open window
cursing at the empty street
hating where it's taking me
to a place where I can't sleep

It's just not fair
how nobody cares
about what I want to be
I'm fighting
with the promise breakers
wishing them bloody deaths
hating how they built my hopes
and crushed all I had left

It's just not fair
how everywhere I go
no one cares I'm there
I'd be lying
if I said it didn't hurt
the pain I feel is strong
but I'd rather tell lies
than to ever let them
see me cry

Testing the Edge

Years of stress
begins to add up
one person
can only take so much
that's why I'm on the edge
I'm too scared
to let go
but I don't want
to hold on
once my fingers slip
watch me fall
don't try to save me
I'm falling
please catch me before I die

Years of pain
begins to add up
I'm only human
I can only handle so much
that's why I'm testing the edge
I don't want
to live any longer
but I don't want
to die today
don't hold my hand any longer
don't hold me close any more
don't let me go
please hold me close

Years of secrets
begins to add up
I'm still a child
I can only deal with so much
that's why my toes are over the edge
I don't want
to cut any deeper
but I need
to bleed it all out
don't call my name
I don't want to hear your voice
don't look my way
I don't want to see your face
don't leave me alone
please don't go away

Years of isolation
begins to add up
I am a person
I can only condone so much
thats why I'm over the edge
you should watch me fall
I'm scared
please don't let me fall
my tears
are all that should fall

Sick of Being Forgotten

I sit and wait for you
You walk in and
look passed me
you ask
where I'm at
I say right here
you jump out of your skin
and say you didnt see me there
I shrug and say
it's ok
no big deal

while inside I cry
it's not ok
it is a big deal
won't you look at me
don't you look passed me
please just look at me
I'm so sick of being forgotten
don't you see me
I'm right here
can't you hear me screaming
can't you hear me pleading
please look at me
I'm so sick of being forgotten
so sick of being alone

I lay awake in my bed at night
thinking about the day we had together
and I think about your smile
before you said goodbye
and I wonder
why can't you be forgotten
if only til your next visit

Blood Oath

in the beginning
when you're all alone
you may be scared
cause you're on your own
you may have doubts
that you'll
yet you'll fight to stay alive

you may not believe
that you can trust
may not want to
put your faith in us
but we will be right
by your side
til the end
we won't run and hide

making a promise
that we cannot break
a pact in blood
whatever it takes
you won't be alone
as long as we're your friends
we'll stick it out
til the end

sometimes
I want to disappear
and get away from here
go off to a different time
to a different place
where I can have
some personal space
where I can leave
my worries behind
so just for a moment
just for a little while
I can be at ease
then I could laugh
and dance and sing
I could read or cry
or do anything
but then I'll have to leave
I'll go back
to this time
to this place
I'll reappear
because this is my home
and my heart is still here
