To follow up from a post I made in Kekadu's thread, no it was not anti gravity boots (sorry Headhunter). But it was still surprising. I got a promise ring of sorts eek Suddenly I feel very sheepish for my gift card and gag gift that I gave him.
Apparently the shoe size question was used to calculate my ring size, and confuse me.

Perhaps its a power ring, like the Green Lantern has...or one of the Planeteers. Hopefully the former, though.

Wow, that was a very clever thing to do. It would be difficult to make a connection like that haha. But that's sweet that you got a promise ring. Very awesome! ^^ I'm sure he'd enjoy the gift card though. He likes to shop for books, so it's all good haha.

he took one you my rings and tried out if it´s fits of one of his fingers , well it fited at the smalles one.

Ameliechan a promis ring, nice. my boyfriend onc wanted to buy me a ring ,too. he took one you my rings and tried out if it´s fits of one of his fingers , well it fited at the smalles one. xd At first I thought you were going to say it got stuck smile And Headhunter- The ring is a spy decoder ring-- and tells me to drink more ovaltine.

Doressa That's so lovely! How sweet of him! Did it fit? Did it fit? Did you love it? It fits surprisingly well, it's very pretty. I like it a lot-- the funny thing is it is much prettier than my old engagement ring (from back in the day). I like it because it's less flashy-- I think we all know my sentiments on ridiculous bling. Though as much as I like the ring the best Christmas present has been spending time with him smile I know that sounds cheesy but he's an absolute delight to be around. It was funny, he had forewarned me "not to read too much" into the gift, so I thought I was going to get some really mean gag gift like a cook book or weight loss pills-- but what he meant was that it wasn't an engagement ring. And I'm glad he warned me on that point, since it's way too soon to make a life-altering decision like marriage.

I've only been in my relationship for about three months and we've talked about a future together, marriage, kids, location of future home. I think he would do something along those same lines but we both now it isn't the right to to even broach the topic fully. A ring is a really sweet gift, a promise is priceless.

Ah, that makes a lot of sense. Sounds like he has a good head on his shoulders in addition to being really thoughtful! biggrin
As for the way he computed it...that wouldn't work for me. If you tried that method with me, the ring would be wayyyy too small. eek
