I moved away from home in May. Over 140 miles which was scary.
I went shopping last Thursday and chatted to the owner of Airy Fairy in the alternative shopping arcade and this guy came along. I spoke to him for a while too and he told me his name was Chaos. Of course I was like yeah right. Then he showed me his bus pass, bank card and passport (he always gets I.D 'd so carries it round) and it was actually his name!
Who do you know with a weird name?
There was also a girl in my college called Angel.

Oh, I know someone named Charlemain. ... And my sisters are named Blodwyn, Cassopeia, and Andromedia. The going theory is that my parents got stoned every time my mother got pregnant. Now, I do like my name, but sometimes I think I'd prefer it if they spelled it the same way the historical figure did...

I once knew a girl named Papcelie ( Pop-sell-E). That was the strangest name I've heard though, the rest are all fairly common.
I wish I had a cool name sad

Let us all take a solemn vow that we will never name our children "ordinary" names from our culture.
Creativity shall reign. twisted

The most unusually named people I know are Nenedhel (she changed her name to that from Nerina), Maia and Jukka (which apparently is fairly common if your Finnish).
I've been thinking of changing my name to Hel.

I didn't mean odd names, I meant creative ones. That means not Jim or Johanna, but not Apple or Laptop either.
