I've had some fish die and they always leave some sort of drop. What is the purpose of the drop? Is there anything you can do with it other than sell it? I've asked some people but no one seems to know....

If you don't want to sell them, you can open them.
You can get gold tiaras, hairpins, wrist watches, reading glasses or a goldfish scarf.

Go to your inventory and click on the "special" tab.
Then click on the drop.

is there any difference between a gold fish drop form a shark tooth fish drop and all the other kinds of drops?

yeah you can get different types of items from each drop as far as i know ^^

I think both flushing and closing put the fish drop bag in your inventory. It's the fish you flush, not the drop. Don't worry - you didn't lose anything.
Cuttlefish grow happy very slowly. They like Moderate and Chilly with most songs. Check to see whether little hearts appear over their heads every time you make a change to their tank.

goldfish drops give items that are worth more in the stores than the drops are worth in the marketplace.
I, personally, would just open them.
The scarf is the item that should be worth the most from the drops, since it is rare.

I just checked tektek, and found that the Arrowfish drops have a chance to give you an Arrowhead fish sword, which is priced at 25k.
