Howdy Y'all!
I know that some of us have not been around as much as of late. Computers and connectivity have been issue for some of our mods and members. For others the demands of schools, jobs, and children have been a lot. For others Gaia burn out is the cause. And for a few of you, well you're probably shaking your fists at the guild forums wondering why they don't move faster.
So let's see what we can do to keep things rolling!
I'm also curious to know how various members handle
1. When you don't have time for Gaia or the Guild
And
2. When you have time but the guild doesn't move as fast.
Myself I take a lot to "lurking", I read posts and threads but keep replies to a minimum until I have time. When it's slow and I have time I have discovered making comics is fun. Hopefully I'll have a new one soon for everyone.

I'm so sorry I've not been around much, I just haven't had any free time at all! Even now, I should be studying for my exam tomorrow... After tomorrow, I won't have to fret about uni, just be working a lot...I really hope to find more time, this is the first time that I can remember not being able to find any time at all for this wonderful guild! ---------------- Now playing: Field Music - A House Is Not A Homevia FoxyTunes

Disclaimer: this is no slight against Headhunter nor Hank- both are fabulous hard workers. However, with Kekadu, Doressa, and myself all getting new jobs, and Hank still living in Vegas, the comic begged to be made 3nodding

Good one, Antonia! I have to admit, I really feel like I'm babysitty my bosses (all guys) at work at the moment. They're not very organised and I keep having to remind them to do things they're supposed to.
Oh well, at least I'll be well trained when I'm in their job position!!

I may not post often, but I do check in every day to see what's new. I do the same for all my guilds. I come when I have more time as well.

Well, when I don't have time for Gaia I usually am just doing things around the house, work, school, etc. that need to be done; i.e., homework, washing and waxing the cars, laundry, grocery shopping, duties at work (not going to go into those), and on and on! sweatdrop
It just seems I take a break and usually don't sign in for a good week or two and then sign back on. Usually, I'm surprised by what I find (good or bad surprised).
When things get slow on here (this is the only guild I regularly visit any more), I lurk as Antonia said and sometimes recreate an avatar or two (or more) and play around with my profile, write in my journal, and then get back to real world stuff as stated above. 3nodding Speaking of which, I need to attend to my homework again. xd sweatdrop

Usually if I'm healthy I tend to lurk, though I do tr to pop up and say hello (Hello!).

I've been lurking mostly, satisfying my addiction to zOMG any other time. When I'm not doing that, I surf the guilds I'm in. But most of them are ghost towns now...D= Everyone is so busy.

I haven't been on quite as much due to a connectivity issue, but hopefully, it's all cleared up...
But I often lurk, just reading and whatnot but I find myself with not a whole lot to say. Everyone around here has been super nice, though and I've felt pretty welcome since I joined. Just wish there was a bit more I could do to contribute sweatdrop
However, it has been kind of a pain juggling free time between two jobs, planning some very special events and the impending holiday rush. But for the most part, I think I'm around the guild at least once every other day or so...

I admit I've been lurking as of late. The connections at work are horrid so I sign on and do the dc's if I get a chance I'll wait it out and try and load the guild page.
Recently I met someone and it has been very serious, so much distraction there. Plus I moved...again. Yup, that's number four in the year I've been with this guild. Risu makes a pretty good roomie. Though she did run off with the laptop this week. sad
Often I try and check in and make at least one post every few days.

How I cope when I don't have the time: Life comes first, Gaia time suffers. I used to play a game where it was hard to miss out on being online because other people were expecting you to be there. I would get upset when I didn't have the time and it was quite stressful. Gaia is fun and I like to keep it that way. How I cope when the guild doesn't move fast :  I tend to lurk a lot more than I post. I think if there were topics that I could contribute to, then I might post more. I try to log in daily to get the daily chances and overseer gift and I almost always find a "bump" thread and bump unil the gold isn't worth the effort - it's fast way to make a bit of gold.

I check in a few times during the week since I usually don't have much to do between my classes, but I tend to just lurk when things are moving slowly.
