My apologies for this being so late in coming, but I kept forgetting to search through my PMs to find the message about a special gift I received from a certain anonymous benefactor. redface To those of you who do not know, my father was recently diagnosed with cancer. Although up until now I had been estranged from him for about 10 years, I am trying to do the right thing by him given that he probably will not live to see another Christmas. I was also unexpectedly made a Crew member in another adult Guild I belong to during a time of major upheaval not long ago, so I have been trying to help them out there as much as I can. sweatdrop Though I am going to further narrow down the number of Guilds I belong to as a matter of course, I do intend to remain a member here as long as you will continue to have me. I will understandably still not be very active, but I am going to try to post in here more often than I have the past several months. Hopefully all of this will not be prolonged anymore than it has to be at this point. neutral

You never, ever have to feel guilty about inactivity when real life surfaces. The downside of a 21+ guild is that people have lives, and families to attend to. Not to say under 21 people don't have lives-- but as an adult your responsibility does shoot through the roof.
If you look at our crew list, even our crew in the guild has to take a break (Nessa and Kekadu have comp issues, Hank was pretty occupied when he was teaching, Sydney was going through a divorce, Dakota has a young son).
I'm sorry to hear about your father- these things are particularly rough when you haven't been on the best terms with someone. Sometimes you mourn the loss of opportunity as much as you mourn the loss of the person his or her self.
Just remember that you always have a home here. Even if you've been inactive for awhile there is almost always someone who remembers you (unless you change your name and avatar--but we now have a thread for that!). If you ever need a place for comfort and understanding-- or you need to know what the heck happened in this guild since you last dropped by--just ask.
Best wishes, and keep hanging in there. Life does have boring parts...eventually.

Once again, I have been pretty sick and hurting, to the point of a hospital visit and being layed up again. After today's physical therapy and my mood in general, well, Phantom...
a "Bunny Hug" is EXACTLY what I needed. THANK YOU. heart

Thank you soooo much! I absolutely adore the pretty dress. heart And your little note seemed to pay off thanks to today's turn of events. Hopefully everything works out with this job.
I also equipped my avatar with one of the bouquets I had received from one of the phantoms some time ago.
I'm always amazed by how much caring and generosity abounds in this guild. Bravo!
