Gosh! Things are getting exciting in the guild. After a marathon of awards I am back and already plans are under way for Earth Week 2008. But before the time has come to once more to turn trash into treasure-- we have a new announcement! We liked giving away awards so much we made a new one: Member of the Month (aka "M.o.M.")
Member of the month is a very prestigious award- there is only one per month. A member will be selected for their outstanding awesomeness to be honored. The title comes with:
1. A sealed envelope for their month of glory
2. Recognition
3. The moderators wax your Gaia car... just kidding biggrin
Our September Member of the Month is Super Buick! We have a special tribute to him coming soon. Hoorah!

We took the time to interview our Inaugural M.o.M. and here's what his fabulous self had to say:
MMM: How old are you and where are you from?
SB: i'm 29 years old and i've been born, raised and still live in good ole erie, pennsylvania.
MMM: How did you come up with your Gaia name?
SB: it's the name of the second independent release of one of my favorite bands, mushroomhead.
MMM: What is your favorite game on Gaia and why?
SB: you know, it WAS fishing until pinball came along. i've always been a pinball junkie ever since i played my first one when i was 6 years old.
MMM: If you had to be stranded on a desert island with only three things, what would those three things be and why?
SB: sunblock, because i burn easily, a fully charged gps so i could get my global coordinates, and a working cell phone so i could make a call and give out those coordinates so i can get the hell off that island lol.
MMM: Which Gaia item do you wish you had in real life?
SB: coco kitty slippers. they look so comfy.
MMM: Rock, paper, or scissors?
SB: paper. gets em every time the first time around.
MMM: If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
SB: i'd say super strength, but i'm already pretty strong. i think i'd actually go with super speed. there's something to be said about someone that can do a full day's work in a few minutes.
MMM: Shoutout: make a shoutout to anyone in particular you want to in the guild.
SB:*turns hat sideways and throws on some bling* yo yo yo. i wanna give a shoutout to all my peeps. to the main man, keepin it real, ya'll. to the mods, doin their thang. to everyone giving me support on kicking my habit, much love, ya'll. and to the phantom gifter, i know you haven't been very active lately, but mad props. (ok, i think that's enough ghetto talk lol. seriously, i can't just think of any particular person to give a shoutout to. everyone's awesome!)

thanks guys. i really don't know what to say. things have been really crazy in my life the past couple weeks, and i haven't been in the greatest of spirits. thanks to you all for making things a little bit brighter. even if i don't get the opportunity to chat with all of you, i do look forward every day to coming to this guild and seeing what everyone has posted... and posting a reply if i have something to add, be it funny or whatnot.
*looks around nervously for anything that could cause a mishap*

*goes to walk offstage and slips on a banana peel, falling into the orchestra pit*
