this is my freshman year of high school and I'm very unsure which clubs to join. Especially the GSA club we most likely have at school, based on last year's club list that one of my friends carries around for journalistic purposes. I really don't know if I should join this year or wait until I'm more acquainted with the school, kids, and teachers. And, of course, I don't want to draw any attention to myself by having homophobes point fingers at me. So... should I join now, or wiat till next year?
Also, I noticed there was no 'Anime' Club. I was all, 'WHAT?!'. I thought that seemed unreasonable. Do you think I should scourge the campus for anime lovers and start my own club? Or wait for someone to start it for me? (I'm sure someone will, since a lot of the aniem freaks from my old school attend that school.)

Totally! I would go for it. Try and set up an interst meeting, that would help.

You should try anything that pleases you. I went to a high school of about 200 kids; I can name every kid I graduated with. Needless to say, there were VERY few clubs to join, so don't take these opportunities for granted
